2. INTRODUCTION
Disappearance is about a two friends trying to figure out what has
happened to their friend. One friend being more overly worried than
the other. They have no idea that there might be something
supernatural occurring.

Running time: 4-5 minutes
Genre: Supernatural thriller
My idea is original as it is about someone being missing but with a
supernatural element. The film will show how people are affected by
missing people. The characters show how people have a fear of the
unknown but are still intrigued.

4. TREATMENT
Beginning
The film begins with Mira and Arden going to school. As they get to school
everything is normal. When in form there is one empty seat where there is
usually someone there. The person missing turns out to be one of their
friends. The register is taken as usual but their friend’s name is not called.
Middle
Mira and Arden remain confused and guess he may be ill but they realise no
one else has noticed. They go to the office and enter to try find the file of
their friend but it seems to have disappeared like their friend. They explore
and try to figure out what has happened.
End
The ending is ambiguous and meant to have the audience use their
imagination. As they turn up to school and it is abandoned.

Purpose & Thematics
The purpose for this film on the most part is to entertain. Though it
gives the audience an understanding of people’s emotions and
reactions to situations and the unknown. The film could be watched
as a form of escapism

An older actor rather than a child as they will be able to do more hours. This
will prevent issues following the child protection act.
No copyright issues by showing brands or playing music as permission is
needed. Non royalty music should be used unless copyright laws have been
followed for the use of music with copyright.
What comes across when the person is missing as in how the characters react
and the manner it is dealt with. Even though there is a supernatural cause, it
is not known for most the film. There should be sensitivity in a way where
someone will not get offended around the subject of missing people.
