3. MISSION:
The aim of the Club is to promote growth in members appreciation and skill in
making digital photographs and videos through education in both the science and art
of photography and videography.
Weekly and Monthly meetings are designed and offered for all levels of
photographic understanding from beginner through professional.
Special interest Workshops and educational classes are provided to both beginning
and advanced photographers. Visitors and guests are welcome at all monthly
meetings.
4. What does a photography club do?
The main objective of a good photography club should be to encourage its
members to take photos while learning to love the craft more.
It shouldn't be used as a venue for profit making or for setting up a
business.
A camera club is a group that embraces the art of photography.
5. What do you do in a photography club?
Common activities carried out by photography clubs include regular
(weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly) meetings, exhibits, guest speaker
nights, workshops and seminars, competitions, club outings and field trips.

6. WEEKLY & MONTHLY MEETINGS.
The weekly & monthly meetings are free and open to the public. Everyone is
welcome to come and try out the Club!
We meet on the first Saturday of every month, 2:00 p.m.at the Research Lab
Room No. 307 Third Floor, Indus University, Gulshan Main Campus.
The meetings include photoshares, tech tips, and guest speakers.
7. ACTIVITIES.
The Club offers several field trips a year to places of photographic interest in
Karachi and nearby. It also offers occasional workshops, free to all club
members. There are two or three club-sponsored exhibits each year,
including an annual juried exhibit at the Research Lab.
8. Focus Groups.
Focus groups are smaller groups within the Club for members with similar
interests. The groups meet at various times and locations. Some meet regularly
and some only take field trips together. All offer a chance to share techniques
and ideas, learn more about photography, and have fun.
9. GOVERNANCE.
Club activities are planned at an annual meeting held in December, with input
and decision making by all members who wish to participate. The Board of
Directors makes arrangements for and implements the planned activities.
The board is headed by a 3-member executive council and a
secretary/treasurer, with the remainder of the board members distributed
throughout various committees.
Committees cover programs and special events, exhibitions, field trips,
workshops, the newsletter. All members are welcome to participate in board
meetings.
