  • Welcome to our Officers Training. During the next 15 minutes, I’ll brief you on what a Toastmasters Club Vice President Education could do to be an effective leader. This will be followed by a 5 to 7-minute Q&A, and a 5 minute essay portion.

  • Limit to 2-3 questions but invite attendees to approach you after the session for further questions.
  • Please choose a topic and write a short 100 word essay on the sheets provided. After 5 minutes, please submit your sheets and proceed to the meeting area. After collecting the papers, thank the audience.

    1. 1. Duties of the Vice President - Education District 75, Div A, B, H, & G Make-up Officers Training July 24, 2010 Engr. Andrei John Cantilleps
    2. 2. Objective <ul><li>Discuss the standards of a Vice-President Education. Outside and within club meetings </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrate understanding by means of a short essay. </li></ul>
    3. 3. <ul><li>Attend district- sponsored club-officer training. </li></ul><ul><li>• Plan club meetings, at least three weeks in advance and confirm ing each schedule </li></ul><ul><li>• Promote participation in the educational program. Get commitment and track their progress toward these awards. </li></ul>Outside of Club Meeting Standard
    4. 4. <ul><li>• Orient new members to the Toastmasters program within two meetings after they join. </li></ul><ul><li>• Assign every new member a mentor. </li></ul><ul><li>• Attend club executive committee meetings and preside when the president is absent. </li></ul><ul><li>• Attend district council meetings and vote the club’s proxy. </li></ul>Outside of Club Meeting Standard

    8. 8. VP - Education The educational growth of your club’s members depends on the Toastmasters program. It is your responsibility to administer the program and provide the proper environment in which members can develop their communication and leader ship skills.
