Landing pages are an important part of your digital marketing strategy for increasing leads and conversion rates. High performing landing pages are optimized and designed using scientifically proven best practices. We've put together some of the most important tips on building the best landing pages in this quick guide.
Content:
1. What is Growth Hacking?
2. Success stories: Dropbox, Buffer, Paypal, Twitter
3. Growth Hacking Problem Solving
4. Growth Hacking as Service
Sean Ellis (CEO of GrowthHackers) coined the term "growth hacker" in 2010:
"Growth Hacker is a person whose true north is growth. Everything they do is scrutinized by its potential impact on scalable growth."
Andrew Chen’s (leading GH at Uber) definition:
"Growth Hacker is the new VP Marketing. Growth Hackers are a hybrid of marketer and coder, one who looks at the traditional question of 'How do I get customers for my product?' and answers with A/B tests, landing pages, viral factor, email deliverability, and Open Graph."
If you have an eCommerce website those areas could be:
Customer Acquisition – bringing people to your website.
Customer Engagement – people finding your product.
Customer Activation – people registering and buying the product.
Customer Retention – people returning and buying something again.
You can achieve the Growth Hacking Goal by using various Growth Hacking Approaches.
For Retention it could be — email notifications, retargeting, loyalty cards.
Inside of the email notifications approach, you can try such Growth Hacking Techniques as “thank you” emails, email notifications for similar products, or emails with information about discounts.
Growth Hacker is a cross-functional, multi-tasking person focused on achieving a certain objective.
It can be a programmer with an excellent understanding of marketing and analytics, but also a marketer with strong programming skills.
The skills required for this profession are actually a combination of marketing, data analyzing, product understanding, and creative and analytical thinking. Combined together, they need to provide you with a solution that might have been overlooked by others.
Growth Hacking vs. Marketing
— All successful growth hackers are marketers, but not all marketers are growth hackers
Digital marketing teams are usually composed of non-technical people that often rely on developers, designers, and data scientists to implement their ideas. On the other hand, growth hacking teams are made of people that generate ideas and execute them from start to finish (wegrowth.com)
— Growth hacking is experiment driven marketing focused primarily on how the product is used to create growth both from the distribution and retention side. The key differentiator being the product-level focus vs. the channel-level focus of traditional marketing effort (Morgan Brown, COO of Inman News)
— Growth hacking does not separate product design and product effectiveness from marketing (Ryan Holiday, marketer and entrepreneur)

Web Content Strategy - How to Plan for, Create and Publish Online Content for...Joe Pulizzi
A presentation from Joe Pulizzi (Junta42) and Kristina Halvorson (Brain Traffic) on February 6, 2009 Online Marketing Summit in San Diego.
The presentation goes into detail about why marketers have to develop a publishing mindset, why web content strategy is so difficult, and what you can do now to create an effective content strategy and plan within your own organization.
At the Marketo #MKTGNation Summit I delivered this call to action for today's marketers: do the stuff that matters and that has an impact on the business. Why? Because so much of marketing is ineffective. One reason content marketing has become such a buzzword today is simply because it can be measured. And those who commit to measuring it, see returns on their investment that are often many times higher than the average ROI of marketing. Check this presentation out to learn 10 Formulas ANY business can use to measure the ROI of content marketing and never waste money again

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

5. DIGITAL MARKETING
In the new age of
technology, Digital Marketing is a
paradigm shift; a change in way
the Marketers used to think.
6. We live in a world that is
changing so rapidly the
consumers are now in love with
change itself.
“If an idea doesn’t work
online, it’s not a good idea.”
Using an innovative technology doesn’t
make an idea innovative.
7.
8. Digital marketing encompasses a variety of
internet marketing and online media
strategies to promote brands and
products, besides generating awareness.
Increasingly, this is the medium which is
providing powerful marketing tools that
will improve branding efforts and boost
direct response
e.g., integrating mobile with digital
marketing can create personal, long-term
relationships between brands and
consumers using electronic marketing
channels.

16. There is no such thing as a
‘VIRAL CAMPAIGN’!!
AMAZINGLY OVERWHELMINGLY AWESOME
IS VIRAL
17. VIRAL
Digital can only push the idea forward since its
more easy to share on digital mediums. It is also
measurable and track able.
The idea has to be powerful enough itself to go
the distance.
During the financial crisis, there was a campaign by
Hyundai that gave people the guarantee that if they
lose their job the following year, Hyundai would buy
their car back. It was an idea that spread virally
without solely living online.
18. QR Codes – Quick Response Codes
The key to success is to offer value to the
consumer - codes need to take you to
something of value - product
information, how-to-use video, coupons, etc.
Mobile optimization is also key. The user
will be getting your message on a 3-5"
screen, so video or easily readable text are
ideal.
19. QR codes are a great way to give people a ton of info
digitally. Here's a scenario...a restaurant has a QR
code at every table. When you scan it, it takes you to
a page you can sign up for their email list. Here is
the beauty of this process...a person is most likely
not going to take a piece of paper home to their PC
and sign up for your email list when they could be
doing something else. However, if they are sitting at
the table waiting for
their food, there is no better
time to scan the code and
sign up on their phone.
20. QR Codes can be a great way to link traditional
advertising to digital, increase POS conversion and
generally engage consumers. Nissan USA has
figured out a good use for QR codes by providing
them on new cars. They essentially act as a "silent
sales person" for on-the-lot consumers
Be careful though in blocking yourself into QR
codes, QR codes are a specific type of code. You may
also want to look at SnapTags which provide more
branding opportunities.
21. Which do you think is more powerful:
A company website or its Facebook page?
22. • Digital is not a job for specialists anymore.
• Lose the New Media Phobia and embrace it.
• Live the digital media, make a Techy friend.
• Every campaign can be a global campaign.
23. • Focus on individuals. User behaviors
measurement.
• Crowdsourcing.
• Focus on content: it will always be the king!
• The power of status messages
24. Integrate but don’t interrupt
A brand should insert itself meaningfully
into people’s lives by enabling and
enriching their existing behaviors, not by
requiring new ones.
The real beauty of Digital marketing –
the ability to test before you invest.
Beta version, pilot testing etc.
25. Brand corporations individuals
People are starting to realize that there’s not
much of a line between your personal and
professional lives anymore. Digital lifestyle is
taking over
121 million searches are conducted
in Google every hour, but only
25% of users scroll past the first
page of search results.
26.
27. Every corporation is shifting towards a more
digital oriented workforce. Almost every job
description has a digital element to it now.
The people in your social circles — including
LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+ — are also the
people who will help you network to a new job
or career.
28. Applying interactive technologies
to Contribute to marketing activities
Through Developing a planned
approach to improve customer
knowledge to Deliver communication
& services that matches Individual’s
needs.
What’s important is that you try things out for yourself and don’t ask someone else to do them for you. By making your own experiences and mistakes, and having your very own little success stories, you will develop a better understanding and gain more self-confidence when talking to a professional or a techie, since you will really know what you’re talking about.
