Story 1 - Classic BlackBerry is Back 
• BlackBerry has started taking pre-orders for the new BlackBerry Classic in the US. 
• Brings back the design, QWERTY keyboard and trackpad from older handsets, 
together with the latest BlackBerry OS and support for Android apps. 
• Only launching a 2G GSM version, which means it’s not compatible with Verizon, 
Sprint or US Cellular networks. 
• It will cost $449 (£288). 
• In another bid to corner the enterprise market, BlackBerry is joining forces with 
Samsung, Salesfore.com, Orange SA, Verizon and Vodafone Group to drive sales 
of its new mobile-security software — BlackBerry Enterprise Service 12 — a key 
component of the company’s strategy to return to profitability.
Story 2 - Lenovo Closes Deal to Buy Motorola for $2.9bn 
• Chinese PC maker Lenovo has completed its acquisition of the Motorola handset 
unit from Google for $2.9bn (£1.8bn). 
• The purchase is likely to lead to the company making a fresh move into the US 
smartphone market, as it seeks to diversify its business and establish itself as a 
player in the global mobile market. 
• Motorola was acquired by Google in 2012 for $12.5bn, but the company has 
struggled to reverse its long-running decline. Google will retain a large number of 
Motorola’s crucial patents as part of the deal with Lenovo.

activate the QR code and place over to 
play.

Summary 
With the launch of Mercedes new A class the 
brand decided to move away from its traditional 
use of tv and outdoor to incorporate social 
media. The #YOUDRIVE allows viewers to 
determine the story over three ads. Creating a 
customer driven approach. 
Strategy and execution 
Mercedes knew the target audience 25-44: 
.Interacted through a variety of connected devices 
.Expected immediacy from communications 
.Shared with the use of social media 
.Hated being passengers 
Therefor it decided to reach out to young people who 
were watching TV white also interacting on a mobile 
device. The TV commercial steering the #youdrive story 
and encouraging the viewers to go to twitter to 
determine what happened next. Live voting results were 
published on the #youdrive website giving absolute 
control over what happened In real time. 
To build excitement around the campaign Mercedes 
promoted in replication of a film premier. This pre-release 
lasted for a week.
