Digipaks
This is a students digipak design, Mine will be a 6 panel design but this one is only four which I think isn't enough to promote the artist and help the audiences feel as if they have got their money worth. The genre of the artist could be heavy metal or rock, because the red and black colours used could be symbols of blood and death which are themes in that sort of genre.
In this digipak design I think the fans buying this particular cd will get enough information from their artist as there is a short biography and digital download cards in order to help promote other songs by the same artist. The genre could be country music because of the light, soft colours used. Digipaks can make fans feel closer to their artist as instead of just getting the song they get more for their money which is why digipaks still get sold even though online music is free.
Madonnasdigipak is particularly clever in promoting her music as she includes pictures of her tours which allows her to not only promote her music but also promote her tours and show her fans how fun her tours are, so that they buy her tour tickers. Madonna includes pictures of her progressing over time which again would interest her fans who are dedicated to Madonna and are interested in her life. Madonna shows that she wants to bring life and fun to her fans and by buying her digipak they will feel as though they have a part in her pop star lifestyle
Michael Jacksons digipak design promoted his Dvd of all the short films he has have featured in and all his video songs. The pictures that he has included in his digipak design all help his loyal fans to see his progress over the years and how he has transformed in to the ‘King Of Pop’. This is unique as it sells his songs and his videos which make his fans feel as if they are getting more for their money so they're willing to buy it. The digipak captures the entire spectrum of his life. It includes 42 music videos which again would encourage his fans to buy ‘vision’ as they will not be able to find such good quality music videos elsewhere. Michael Jackson also includes exclusive music videos that are unreleased.

In this digipak design I think the fans buying this particular cd will get enough information from their artist as there is a short biography and digital download cards in order to help promote other songs by the same artist. The genre could be country music because of the light, soft colours used. Digipaks can make fans feel closer to their artist as instead of just getting the song they get more for their money which is why digipaks still get sold even though online music is free.
