This document evaluates three aerobic biological processes for wastewater treatment: the conventional activated sludge process (CASP), moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR), and packed-bed biofilm reactor (PBBR). It includes an analysis of performance metrics, emphasizing the advantages of biofilm systems in treating residential wastewater with lower retention times and improved treatment efficiencies. The results demonstrate the PBBR's superior performance in organic degradation and pollutant removal compared to CASP and MBBR.
