The idea for creating Diaphane was born out of a need.
Non-financial reporting is a complex process. The use of spreadsheets for its purposes
is cumbersome and inefficient – multiple versions that are continuously updated with conflicting
information circulate between the reporters and rarely get back to the project leader on time.
This causes chaos and frustration in all those involved in the process.
Our team has been helping many companies to resolve these issues for years.
We know that the work can be organized in a more efficient way whereby reporting
may also help optimize the operation of the entire organization.

4. 4
Our concept is based on the model of OLAP
(Online Analytical Processing) cube.
This allows for the data entered into the system
to be treated as multi-dimensional.
DATA CUBE
5. 5
Diaphane is the only tool required during
the non-financial reporting process to optimise
the following steps:
➤ Managing the reporting process
➤ Data aggregation
➤ Data analysis
➤ Comparing data over time (from different
time periods)
➤ Preparing the full text of the report
TOOL: END-TO-END
6. 6
TOOL: SECURITY

Our goal: to create a tool which is easy to implement and use
EASE OF MODIFICATION
The tool implementation is efficient and quick.
To start data compilation, only basic features
like the organizational structure, and the scope
and period of reporting need to be configured.
You do not need to know exactly where to take
the required data from – we will help you find them.
EASE OF IMPLEMENTATION
What if the currently applicable standards change
or the organization decides to modify the scope
of reporting?
With Diaphane, you can modify yourself,
among others, the organizational structure and
the frequency of data compilation, as well as create
new access accounts.
You need never worry about updating the system
to the latest reporting standard version – we will
do it for you!
TOOL: EASE OF USE
8. 8
We are responsible for the continuous maintenance of the system
– you can focus on using it
TOOL: ACCESSIBILITY
Availability in the cloud
➤ The tool is available within minutes after starting
the subscription
➤ Continuous access to data
➤ Access to application updates and the latest reporting
standard version
The cloud solution is convenient and secure.
However, if you prefer, it is possible to install the tool in your
Data Center, which does not exclude future use of the cloud
solution after importing all historic data.
9. 9
Users expect a tool to be intuitive.
We know that comfort of using a solution affects the readiness to do so.
Diaphane has been designed in a responsive manner (RWD approach) so it adapts to the size
of the screen on any device.
Modern software development also applies to our approach to user experience.
Consequently, all persons involved in the reporting process can deliver high-quality
data on time
Comfortable and intuitive use is the necessary condition for engagement
TOOL: INTUITIVENESS
11. 11
DIFFERENT USER ROLES
Persons involved in the reporting process
are assigned different roles.
As a result, each user has:
➤ Clearly defined scope of responsibility
➤ Access to relevant contents and functionalities
only
12. 12
1. CSR Manager
One or several persons with the broadest authorization.
As the project owner, CSR Manager decides about its scope
and about the group of persons involved in the process.
CSR Manager is responsible for defining the material aspects,
the timeframe for the report and other issues which are key
to the process, etc.
Also, CSR Manager has insight into the work progress.
The three main roles in the reporting process
13. 13
2. Unit Leader
Person responsible for a given area of operation/location, etc.
Among other things, Unit Leader is responsible for ensuring
that the process is being executed within the timeframe adopted.
Unit Leader also decides about who will provide information
in a given area.

14. 14
The three main roles in the reporting process
3. Reporter
Potentially, every stakeholder can play this role in the reporting process.
Reporters are usually employees who have the knowledge required
to answer specific questions.
Reporters are guided through the entire process so that they don’t need
to deal with topics irrelevant to them, with instructions that are clear
and unambiguous
Additional guidance is provided in form of e.g. hints and the glossary
15. 15
Other roles in the reporting process
An important role in the reporting process may
also be played by external stakeholders such as:
➤ Auditor
➤ CSR Consultant
➤ Business partner, supplier, etc.
Each person involved in the process can get
access to the tool to the extent which makes
their experience positive and the navigation
of the platform intuitive
17. 17
At present, the system works based on GRI Standards,
making a distinction between:
➤ Disclosures required by GRI for reporting in accordance
with the CORE and COMPREHENSIVE option
➤ Reporting requirements and reporting recommendations
CSR Manager determines i.a.:
➤ Scope and boundaries of material topics
➤ Extent of their reporting
Diaphane allows you to report in accordance with generally acknowledged
standards with the option to include an unlimited number of own indicators
Disclosures have been divided into metrics
which represent narrower topic contents
19. 19
The systems allows you i.a.:
➤ To determine the required levels of data compilation
(e.g. continents and countries) as well as lower levels
of the organizational structure (e.g. regions/districts/
voivodships, cities/towns, etc.)
➤ To use any desired breakdowns within the structures
– e.g. geographical breakdowns, breakdowns by brands
or lines of business, etc.
➤ To choose different structures depending on the method
of data compilation for a given disclosure
➤ To define additional structures for broader scope of data
compilation
Another step towards making the tool more adaptable to the specifics and needs
of the organization is representation of the organizational structure
21. 21
The tool flexibly adapts the scope
and method of data compilation
to the customer’s needs
and not the other way around
Customised settings concerning:
➤ Frequency and period of reporting
for a given topic
➤ Title of the questionnaire
➤ List of questions in the questionnaire
➤ Assigned organizational structure
and its levels
➤ Deadline for returning the completed
questionnaire
➤ Accepting the questionnaire
for completion or sending it further down
the structure
22. 22
Questions are formulated in such a way so that the answers given
are unambiguous
Questionnaires sent further down the organization
consist of:
➤ Short and full-length version of questions
➤ Information about the measurement units
required (editable)
➤ Hints on how to answer the question, potential
sources of data, etc.
➤ Glossary definitions of selected terms (with the
option of adding more terms to the glossary)
➤ Breakdowns of the topic into facets – e.g. gender,
type of energy, type of partner, etc.
This allows for calculations and comparisons
of numeric data to be automated
23. 23
The compiled data are verified in a manner transparent for those involved
in the process
A reporter can:
➤ Repeatedly edit the questionnaire before returning
it (by saving each working version)
➤ Cooperate in completing the questionnaire with all
persons assigned to it
➤ Check the status of the questionnaire returned
24. 24

THE BROADEST SCOPE OF AUTHORIZATION ENABLES OPTIMUM MANAGEMENT OF THE PROJECT
– FROM DEFINING THE PARAMETERS TO THE OVERVIEW OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS
28. 28
Our original method of data compilation
allows the user to freely configure
presentation of the contents
29. 29
CSR Manager determines how to break down/aggregate
the specific numeric data according to:
➤ Depth of the organizational structure
➤ Facets such as gender, age and/or type of contract
➤ Reporting periods
Creating the report
The layout of columns and rows in the tables
generated enables optimal presentation of data
The tables may be used not only for purposes
of non-financial reporting but also for managing
the monitored areas
30. 30
The data compiled in the system may become an interesting story
This is possible thanks to:
➤ Combination of reliable quantitative and qualitative data
➤ Joint development of the report by CSR Managers
➤ Enhancing the information provided by Reporters
with additional contents STORY
