In Just a Few Words...
What has self-care been
looking like for you these days?
Skincare
Hydrate
letting myself sleep instead of pulling an all nighter for hw
Going to the gym
trying to make a routine but i forget a lot.
working out / yoga
Giving myself permission to make mistakes,paying more attention to
what I eat.
being able to take time to work on my health and working on my body
Lately just taking a break from schoolwork when I need to, staying
aware, and keeping a routine for my sleep and meal habits
Playing Volleyball and singing. Basically making sure I am doing the
activities that make me feel alive

health" within your own cultural communities?
● It's something you don't talk about. You just push through
it.

● mental health in my culture is something that is viewed as
an excuse to be lazy and is often not considered a issue
● completely ignored or shunned
● Not really something people talk about openly - a sign of
weakness in some ways

● I feel there is pressure in our society to try and always be
positive and that is not realistic nor healthy

● I'm glad I am here today
● i feel weird for crying
● Very emotional

● i thought it was interesting how they included the pens running out of ink
● i feel like the guy’s mind was too cluttered when he was writing the letter.
but his mind cleared when he accidentally found someone he could help. i

● that the challenging "crappy" feelings don't last forever
● I noticed the tattoo on the woman's arm was like the shape of wings, is
that right?
● I liked how it was stated “i have lost much, but not everything”. Puts
things in perspective
● it felt silly and heartwarming in a way

● That one made me happy :] Especially as someone who is also
trans.
● I noticed a focus on the hands, first maybe as an insecurity, but
later as a symbol of comfort or self-assurance, and unity
● i enjoyed it

and others?
● We can help them by listening to them and not interrupting them
with advice
● i learned that you have to help yourself first, so you will be able
to help others. its hard but its good to know
● Being open minded when someone comes to you for help
● I try to say "Do you want comfort or solutions?" Not that I have
the solution, but I can try!
● be open minded and have patience to help others
● Offering to be there if someone needs to open up
