Alondra Umaña, they/she
Alondra is a Queer youth of
Salvadoran decent whose values of
intersectionality and
trauma-informed care drive their
interest in mental health and
interpersonal violence response.
They are currently completing their
BA in Criminology from the
University of Alberta, with the
ultimate goal of applying systems
knowledge to future work as a
therapist supporting racialized and
gender-marginalized communities

portrayal of hopelessness
● Powerful film portraying the dangers of hopelessness,
lack of support
● What if she didn't forget her towel (or whatever she
forgot)? It's sad to think about what she would've found.
● the light dimming around him towards the end was
really impactful
● "I tried to tell you" sticks with me -- for him, that's true,
even if it wasn't explicitly/specifically brought up.
