The document discusses a student project that aims to study the effect of biodegradable material and particulate matter in effluent treatment processes for a particular industry. The project was carried out by 4 students and guided by 2 faculty members. It includes an abstract, introduction, list of materials required, and various design thinking canvases used in the project methodology. The canvases explore empathy mapping, product development, activities-attributes-interactions-objects-users framework, ideation, and mind mapping. The overall goal is to reduce waste in effluent treatment and maximize water reuse.

4. ABSTRACT
The main objective of this project is to effect of biodegradable material and particulate matter in
etp(effluent treatment process) for the particular industry. In the following to know the
advantages and limitation of the model we are working on.
This project will help the users to convert influent water into fresh water. Its main aim is to
Reduce the toxic elements, salts, TDS, TSS from the wastewater and provide a fresh water to
users and also provide a ecofriendly and pollution free environment.

6. 1.INTRODUCTION:-
Everyone needs water. Supplies of water are vital for agriculture, industry, recreation and human
consumption. One problem that the water industry faces is disposal of concentrate from
advanced water treatment processes. This report discusses influent treatment process one
possible solution to concentreate disposal.
Water is required in several fundamental process operations such scrubbing, extraction, steam
generation etc. Advantages and disadvantages of influent treatment process are currently being
seriously considered and discussed. Influent treatment process minimizes the consumption of
fresh water to that of make-up; therefore’ it should help relieve freshwater availability limitations
in places where it is scarce or expensive. Purchased water, and waste water treatment and
disposal coast can significant; thus, saving associated with minimized site makeup water and
waste water flows can justify capital expenditures to minimize, if not completely eliminated,
wastewater flows. Influent treatment process can save money on real estate costs in the case of
new facility construction, since location near a suitable receiving waterway would not necessary.
On the other hand, sometimes the disadvantages of implementing influent treatment process
include higher cost due to treatment of water to the extent it is suitable for reuse, or higher
capital cost in retrofit projects due to large scale restructuring of piping and the arrangement of
the disposal of the solid waste generated.
Here, some of methodologies and compare their results that can apply to the influent treatment
process or at least decrease the amount of liquid.

7. A) What is DesignThinking?:-
A method of problem of waste water treatment. In this method the reduce the influent of waste
water. In this method we connected the solution of the waste water treatment process.
B) Importance of design thinking and socio-economic relevance:-
The ultimate goal of design thinking is not merely making things that people enjoy or creating
awareness of the company. When design creates feelings of empowerment, people are eager to
share their experience with outlets. This cycle is essential for generating demand virally and
building brand loyalty.
C) Team building and its importance:-
Team building is an ongoing process that helps a work group evolve into a cohesive unit. The
team members not only share expectations for accomplishing group tasks, but trusts and support
one another and respect one another’s individual differences.
This subject taught us to work in a group, to understand each other’s weak point as well as strong
point. As we work in a group or a team all wants their project to be best hence, all focuses on
project. Hence it teaches us to how to compete with other team than with individual. There are
many members in group hence all the minds have different ideas and creativity which give out a
best possible result.
D) Importance of a log book exercises:-
This exercise is important because everyone wants their canvas to be perfect and neat and tidy so
by using log books we can make first a rough idea of sheet which helps us to keep our canvas
clean and also we can make changes in log books which we cannot do in canvas.
E) Learning Tools:-
The tools involve in Design engineering process are,
• Log book exercise
• Group discussion
• Internet
• Faculties guidance
• AEIOU canvas
• Empathy Mapping canvas
• Mind Mapping canvas
• Product development canvas
• Ideation canvas
8. CANVAS 1: EMPATHY MAPPING
These are the second stepof the project or problem. In this canvas, you have to find out
what are users to your problems? Who are stakeholders? What are the activities? And
what are broad stories of their activities?
User:-
Dyeing Industries
Textile Industries
CETP (Common effluent treatment plant)
Process Industries
Stake holders:-
Industries
Government
Environmental Engineer
Activities:-
Selection of topic
Selection of Industrial Effluent
Recent Scenario of ZLD
Literature Survey on absorption material
Literature Survey on Bio-degradable Material

9. Happy Story:-
Treating waste water we can reuse. It in process industry for various purposelike using water in
boiler and cooling tower. Treating water we can use in some process and this water is very use to
clean tank and many processing equipments.
Happy Story:-
For treatment of waste water we will use Bio-degradable materials and flyash. Bio-degradable
material is eco-friendly and flyash is waste product. treating waste water we can use as instead of
pure water and after this process we can get pure water. So reduce the pollution of water by
industry effluent.
Sad story:-
In process industry further modification is required in effluent treatment plant. So cost of
treatment plant is increased. Small industry is not accept this treatment process because this is
very costly.
Sad story:-
Proper designing and optimization is not carry out at initial stage for space and process time. So
some industry is not accept. Developers and designer is trying hard to bring down capital cost
and take needed electricity.
