DEPLOYMENT MODELS OF CLOUD
COMPUTING
PRESENTED BY
ANIT SAHA(9377) AND MD.
NEHAL(9035)
Introduction
• The cloud deployment model identifies the specific
type of cloud environment based on ownership,
scale, and access, as well as the cloud’s nature and
purpose. The location of the servers you’re utilizing
and who controls them are defined by a cloud
deployment model. It specifies how your cloud
infrastructure will look, what you can change, and
whether you will be given services or will have to
create everything yourself. Relationships between
the infrastructure and your users are also defined by
cloud deployment types.
 TYPE OF CLOUD DEPLOYMENT
MODEL
•There are four types of deployment model-
1. Private Cloud
2. Public Cloud
3. Community Cloud
4. Hybrid Cloud
PUBLIC
CLOUD
The public cloud is available to the general public, and
resources are shared between all users. They are
available to anyone, from anywhere, using the Internet.
The public cloud deployment model is one of the most
popular types of cloud.
• They offer services to users on the principal of
pay by use.
• They are managed by third parties(cloud service
provider).
 PUBLIC CLOUD
ARCHITECTURE
 BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF PUBLIC
CLOUD Benefits
• Minimal Investment - As a pay-per-use service, there is no large upfront cost
and is ideal for businesses who need quick access to resources
• No Hardware Setup and management - The cloud service providers fully fund the
entire Infrastructure No Infrastructure.
• Location Independent- public cloud is location independent because its services
are offered through the internet.
Limitations
• Data Security and Privacy Concerns - Since it is accessible to all, it does not fully
protect against cyber-attacks and could lead to vulnerabilities.
• Reliability Issues - Since the same server network is open to a wide range of
users, it can lead to malfunction and outages
• Less control -You are not in control of the systems that host your business
applications.
PRIVATE
CLOUD
• The private cloud deployment model is a dedicated
environment for one user or customer.
• A private cloud is used when the data center for the cloud is to
be operated for a specific user or specific organization only.
• It is a one-to-one environment for single use, so there is no
need to share your cloud infrastructure with anyone else. It is
also referred to as “internal cloud,” which refers to the ability
to access systems and services within an organization or
border.
 PRIVATE CLOUD
ARCHITECTURE
 BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF PRIVATE
CLOUD Benefits
• Data Privacy – Only authorize people can access the data.
• High Security – in private cloud, security concern are less since customer data and other
sensitive information does not flow out of a private infrastructure.
• More Customization – as companies get to customize there solution as per requirement.
Limitations
• Higher Cost - With the benefits you get, the investment will also be larger than the public
cloud. Here, you will pay for software, hardware, and resources for staff and training.
• High Maintenance - Since it is managed in-house, the maintenance costs also increase.
• Accessible limitation -Private cloud is accessible with in an organization ,so the area of
operations is limited.
COMMUNITY
CLOUD
• Community clouds allows services to be accessible by a
group of several organization to share the information
between the organizations & specific community.
• It provides a shared platform and resources for
organizations to work on their business requirements.
• This Cloud Computing model is operated and managed by
community members, third-party vendors, or both.
• The organizations that share standard business
requirements make up the members of the community
cloud.
 COMMUNITY CLOUD
ARCHITECTURE
 BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF COMMUNITY
CLOUD
Benefits
• Cost effective-Community cloud is cost effective because the whole cloud is shared
between several organizations or a community.
• Sharing infrastructure-Community cloud allows us to share cloud resources, infrastructure,
and other capabilities among various organizations.
• Flexible and Scalable-The community cloud is flexible and scalable because it is
compatible with every user. It allows the users to modify the documents as per their needs
and requirement.
Limitations
• Shared Resources - Due to restricted bandwidth and storage capacity, community
resources often pose challenges.
• Not as Popular - Since this is a recently introduced model, it is not that popular or available
across industries
• Sharing responsibilities among organizations is difficult.
HYBRID
CLOUD
• A hybrid cloud is a combination of two or more cloud
architectures. It is a mixture of public cloud and private
cloud
• A company with critical data will prefer storing on a private
cloud, while less sensitive data can be stored on a public
cloud.
• The hybrid cloud is also frequently used for 'cloud bursting'.
It means, supposes an organization runs an application on-
premises, but due to heavy load, it can burst into the public
cloud.
 HYBRID CLOUD
ARCHITECTURE
 BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF HYBRID
CLOUD Benefits
• Cost-Effectiveness - The overall cost of a hybrid solution decreases since it majorly
uses the public cloud to store data.
• Security - Since data is properly segmented, the chances of data theft from attackers
are significantly reduced.
• Better scalability and reliability- They allow the users to move from public to private
cloud.
Limitations
• Complexity - It is complex setting up a hybrid cloud since it needs to integrate two
or more cloud architectures.
• Slow data transmission - Data transmission in the hybrid cloud takes place through
the public cloud so latency occurs

Deployment Model.pptx

  • 1. DEPLOYMENT MODELS OF CLOUD COMPUTING PRESENTED BY ANIT SAHA(9377) AND MD. NEHAL(9035)
  • 2. Introduction • The cloud deployment model identifies the specific type of cloud environment based on ownership, scale, and access, as well as the cloud’s nature and purpose. The location of the servers you’re utilizing and who controls them are defined by a cloud deployment model. It specifies how your cloud infrastructure will look, what you can change, and whether you will be given services or will have to create everything yourself. Relationships between the infrastructure and your users are also defined by cloud deployment types.
  • 3.  TYPE OF CLOUD DEPLOYMENT MODEL •There are four types of deployment model- 1. Private Cloud 2. Public Cloud 3. Community Cloud 4. Hybrid Cloud
  • 4. PUBLIC CLOUD The public cloud is available to the general public, and resources are shared between all users. They are available to anyone, from anywhere, using the Internet. The public cloud deployment model is one of the most popular types of cloud. • They offer services to users on the principal of pay by use. • They are managed by third parties(cloud service provider).
  • 6.  BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF PUBLIC CLOUD Benefits • Minimal Investment - As a pay-per-use service, there is no large upfront cost and is ideal for businesses who need quick access to resources • No Hardware Setup and management - The cloud service providers fully fund the entire Infrastructure No Infrastructure. • Location Independent- public cloud is location independent because its services are offered through the internet. Limitations • Data Security and Privacy Concerns - Since it is accessible to all, it does not fully protect against cyber-attacks and could lead to vulnerabilities. • Reliability Issues - Since the same server network is open to a wide range of users, it can lead to malfunction and outages • Less control -You are not in control of the systems that host your business applications.
  • 7. PRIVATE CLOUD • The private cloud deployment model is a dedicated environment for one user or customer. • A private cloud is used when the data center for the cloud is to be operated for a specific user or specific organization only. • It is a one-to-one environment for single use, so there is no need to share your cloud infrastructure with anyone else. It is also referred to as “internal cloud,” which refers to the ability to access systems and services within an organization or border.
  • 9.  BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF PRIVATE CLOUD Benefits • Data Privacy – Only authorize people can access the data. • High Security – in private cloud, security concern are less since customer data and other sensitive information does not flow out of a private infrastructure. • More Customization – as companies get to customize there solution as per requirement. Limitations • Higher Cost - With the benefits you get, the investment will also be larger than the public cloud. Here, you will pay for software, hardware, and resources for staff and training. • High Maintenance - Since it is managed in-house, the maintenance costs also increase. • Accessible limitation -Private cloud is accessible with in an organization ,so the area of operations is limited.
  • 10. COMMUNITY CLOUD • Community clouds allows services to be accessible by a group of several organization to share the information between the organizations & specific community. • It provides a shared platform and resources for organizations to work on their business requirements. • This Cloud Computing model is operated and managed by community members, third-party vendors, or both. • The organizations that share standard business requirements make up the members of the community cloud.
  • 12.  BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF COMMUNITY CLOUD Benefits • Cost effective-Community cloud is cost effective because the whole cloud is shared between several organizations or a community. • Sharing infrastructure-Community cloud allows us to share cloud resources, infrastructure, and other capabilities among various organizations. • Flexible and Scalable-The community cloud is flexible and scalable because it is compatible with every user. It allows the users to modify the documents as per their needs and requirement. Limitations • Shared Resources - Due to restricted bandwidth and storage capacity, community resources often pose challenges. • Not as Popular - Since this is a recently introduced model, it is not that popular or available across industries • Sharing responsibilities among organizations is difficult.
  • 13. HYBRID CLOUD • A hybrid cloud is a combination of two or more cloud architectures. It is a mixture of public cloud and private cloud • A company with critical data will prefer storing on a private cloud, while less sensitive data can be stored on a public cloud. • The hybrid cloud is also frequently used for 'cloud bursting'. It means, supposes an organization runs an application on- premises, but due to heavy load, it can burst into the public cloud.
  • 15.  BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF HYBRID CLOUD Benefits • Cost-Effectiveness - The overall cost of a hybrid solution decreases since it majorly uses the public cloud to store data. • Security - Since data is properly segmented, the chances of data theft from attackers are significantly reduced. • Better scalability and reliability- They allow the users to move from public to private cloud. Limitations • Complexity - It is complex setting up a hybrid cloud since it needs to integrate two or more cloud architectures. • Slow data transmission - Data transmission in the hybrid cloud takes place through the public cloud so latency occurs
