This activity was accomplished within the eTwinning Project "The Land of Eternal Youth". Students from Greece and Poland collaborated to write a joint book inspired by the two countries' culture.
The students suggested titles for a joint book project, writing 4 ideas on the whiteboard: "The little dragon", "The kids and the dragon", "The dragon has disappeared", and "The power of collaboration". They then voted on the titles, with "The little dragon" and "The power of collaboration" receiving the most votes.
Students made homemade soap and created posters to advertise their small business selling the soap to classmates. Through the activity, students sorted the soaps by shape and color, set prices, learned polite customer service skills, and gained experience with coins and making change. Their soap products featuring rabbits, cakes, hearts, and other shapes sold out quickly due to high demand from other classes.
This presentation was accomplished for the eTwinning project "The land of Eternal Youth". The students have participated in a Reading Marathon. This presentation is based on the fairytale "The swallow, the sparrow and the ant" which helped students enhance their understanding about migratory birds and orientation.
This document provides a list of food items that are available for a meal, including milk, tea, juice, cheese-pie, yoghurt, oats, fruits, tahini, crullers, and toast.
Greece and Turkey have long had tensions over territorial disputes in the Aegean Sea and Mediterranean. These disputes center on conflicting claims over airspace and maritime boundaries. While diplomatic talks have occurred, the two NATO allies have not yet resolved their border issues which at times have escalated tensions and threatened military conflict.
Greeks celebrate the Virgin Mary in August. Festivals and feasts are held throughout the month in honor of the Virgin Mary. Religious processions and other events paying tribute to Mary are common during this month in Greece.
A traditional Greek May custom involves making flower wreaths from carton egg cases that are painted different colors and arranged into a motif, which are then hung outside homes.
In Greece due to our navy tradition we decorate small boat instead of trees in Christmas. This project was accomplished within the eTwinning Project "Collaborative, Multicultural Calendar"
This document provides a summary of traditional customs celebrated each month in Greece. In January, gifts are given on January 1st and carols are sung on January 6th. In February, children wear costumes and dance. On Clear Monday, people fly kites. In April, April Fool's Day jokes are made and eggs are painted before Easter. People decorate the church and hold candles on Easter. Fireworks are set off to celebrate Easter. In May, wreaths of flowers are made. In September, grapes are harvested for wine and celebrated. In November, olives are harvested for oil and celebrated. In December, boats are decorated instead of trees and carols are sung on Christmas and New Year's Eve.
This is a presentation of the farewell meeting we had with our partner school before coming to the end of our eTwinning Project "Learning to live like global citizens"
The document summarizes gifts and crafts received from students in England, Lithuania, and Romania. Students from Regent's Park Children's Centre in England sent letters, cards, necklaces, bracelets, and a key ring. Students from UTENA, Utenos vaikų lopšelis-darželis "Gandrelis" in Lithuania sent many handicrafts, cards, and drawings. Students from School Tiberiu Morariu Salva in Romania sent various cards about Easter, March 1st, and spring. The class decided to have an Easter bazaar to sell the items sent from classmates in other countries.
The document discusses a classroom activity where students estimated the cost of ingredients for traditional English breakfast dishes. Students worked in groups to read recipes from a UK children's center that included prices in British pounds. While the document discussed currency conversion, all calculations were done in euros. Students made lists of ingredients and their estimated costs in cents. They then simulated shopping for the ingredients by selecting coins to "pay" for each item. This helped students practice working with different currencies and calculating costs of products that vary between countries.
The document discusses creating a logo, with the first sentence thanking someone for their help. The second sentence notes that it is now their turn. The final sentence indicates that the logo creation has been completed.
