Setting
Windy snowy area with futuristic technology being used I assume this because
throughout the cut scene there is a constant strong wind flow that seems to be
carrying something like snow or sleet you can also hear the character walking and
crunching snow with each step.
The futuristic sounds are noticeable when the character interacts with a machine or
when they use there communication device.
To get the wind and snow recordings I think they
used audio field recordings and to create the
mechanical sounds at 4:15 I think they used VST
effects.
Mood
From start 2:45 to 5:16 of the clip there is an ostinato that provides an eerie and un
settling effect this is used to make the player feel un easy and weary of the events
that will unfold.
The instruments used in this section of the cut
scene sound like a string quartet
Game genre
From listening to the intro dialogue the game seems like a horror. As the characters
tone of voice suggests that he is worried or unsure of the situation he is in the
second section of dialog it seems as though a conflict arises and creates a suspense
filled finish to that cut scene
To create the audio the voice actors would have
to record the dialogue in a controlled booth .
