Data Protection Manager (DPM) 2007 provides continuous data protection for Windows servers and desktops. It uses disk-based snapshots to backup data up to every 15 minutes and provides rapid recovery from disk. DPM 2007 integrates disk and tape backup in a single platform and can backup applications like Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint. It aims to eliminate backup windows and reduce potential data loss to 15-30 minutes for protected systems.
