3. What is a Dashboard?
A dashboard is a:
 Visual representation of key business information.
 Salesforce object that allows you to pull business information directly from custom
reports that you or your company create.
 Real-time snapshot of corporate metrics and key performance indicators.
 Group of different charts that graphically display your custom report data.

4. What Makes Up a Dashboard?
Dashboards are made up of several components. Components can be charts,
tables, metrics, and gauges.

5. Chart
 Graphically represents report data on multiple axes.
 Derives its values and labels from the report builder.

6. Table
 Lists the top or bottom records from a report.
 Captures information on the top 10 performers, deals, or leader boards.

7. Metric
Metric is a single data value that comes from the grand total of a report and
Gauge.

8. Gauge
Gauge is a single data value displayed as a point on a defined spectrum.

You can create following types of charts in a dashboard:
 Horizontal Bar
 Vertical Column
 Line
 Pie
 Donut
 Funnel
 Scatter
