The document outlines a project plan to help Israeli negotiators in discussions regarding Jerusalem. It will include background materials on Jerusalem, possible scenarios for resolving issues in the city, and lessons from previous negotiations. Researchers will also assess a "special regime" model for jointly governing the Old City area between Israel and Palestine. The anticipated products are a negotiations guide for Israel on Jerusalem topics and a model for special administration of the Old City. The goal is to better prepare negotiators and policymakers by thoroughly examining alternative scenarios and steps that can be taken in the absence of an agreement on Jerusalem.
The Middle East Peace Process: Towards Another Stalemate?Przemyslaw Osiewicz
The Middle East conflict has remained one of the core issues of contemporary international relations since World War II. One of the most important matters is to define whether the Middle East peace process is related to the Middle East conflict or, more precisely, to the Arab-Israeli conflict. With respect to land, there are two possible scenarios. Firstly, Palestinians living under Israeli administration. Secondly, a two-state solution, namely an official recognition of the state of Israel by all Arab states and the foundation of a Palestinian state. So far, there have been dozens of peace plans, for example, the Oslo Peace Process, the Taba talks of 2001, the Road Map of 2003, and the Annapolis Conference of 2007. None of them resulted in a comprehensive solution. The question is, if the international community will face another stalemate in case of the Middle East peace process. Might the so-called Arab awakening, namely all the ongoing political and social processes in the Arab states, change the situation in the re-gion?
'Israel-Palestine Conflict' is an ongoing conflict since the mid-20th century which has still not attained any settlement between the parties involved, it is also the conflict which has attracted lots of public opinions around the world with celebrities taking sides, public protesting around the world showing their support, foreign governments sending aids and condolences for the losses suffered, while the U.N and U.S trying to broker peace agreement between the masses which has seemed to fail each and every time! So I would like to highlight this never-ending conflict and come up with a resolution to this problem through this presentation.

The age-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict has raised global security concerns and attracted solution
trajectories which emphasised two-state solution and ignored policy framework towards “one-state” solution,
especially based on the new dynamics in the aftermath of U.S. declaration of Jerusalem as the capital city of
Israel. The U.S. declaration introduced unequal relationship between Israel and the Palestinian Authority at the
Washington peace negotiations. Consequently, the Palestinian Authority protested that the U.S. acted in selfinterest based on her historical relationship with Israel rather than for peace and security in the Middle East
and the world. The Palestinian Authority withdrew from direct negotiation with Israel and questioned U.S.
moral ground to act as an ‘honest broker’ in packaging a new peace plan. As a reprisal, the U.S. cut all aid to
Palestine, except some $42 million for security cooperation, and closed down Palestinian Liberation
Organisation liaison office in Washington. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas reacted and cut off security
cooperation with the U.S. Israeli-Palestinian relationship demonstrates that where parties play it dirty,
morality is hardly the option. The broad objective of this paper is to analyse the opportunities and challenges
in the Israeli-Palestinian two-state, one-state and no-state solution within the rubrics of global realpolitik of
asymmetrical relationship between power-studded Israel and the putative power-drought Palestinian
Authority. The specific aim is to recommending policy solution for enduring peace and stability in the Middle
East region and the world at large.
Parallel to the progressing globalization and concomitant deregulation of national markets there has been a growing judicialization or juridification of different social spheres almost everywhere around the globe. These processes have changed the concept, function and status of law in contemporary societies. This change has in turn given boost to the joint enterprise of the sociology and the anthropology of law and their objectives to gauge the transformation of societies through the lens of law and, conversely, the transformation of law through the lens of certain socio-political and socio-economic dynamics. In this course, we will take disputes as diagnostic events for, or entry points into, salient socio-legal developments and debates, such as what is lost and what is gained in the translation or transplantation of legal norms, concepts, institutions and procedures into different socio-legal spaces, and the socio-political significance of increased legal pluralism caused by growing normative and institutional recognition of religion, ethnicity and indigenous custom. We will discuss cases of project law, cultural defense, and changing property regimes as well as instances of multiple citizenship and the prioritization of individual over collective human rights, and vice versa.

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

Up the Ratios Bylaws - a Comprehensive Process of Our Organizationuptheratios
Up the Ratios is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap in STEM education for underprivileged students by providing free, high-quality learning opportunities in robotics and other STEM fields. Our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and problem-solvers by offering a range of educational programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
At Up the Ratios, we believe that every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, should have access to the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in today's technology-driven world. To achieve this, we host a variety of free classes, workshops, summer camps, and live lectures tailored to students from underserved communities. Our programs are designed to be engaging and hands-on, allowing students to explore the exciting world of robotics and STEM through practical, real-world applications.
Our free classes cover fundamental concepts in robotics, coding, and engineering, providing students with a strong foundation in these critical areas. Through our interactive workshops, students can dive deeper into specific topics, working on projects that challenge them to apply what they've learned and think creatively. Our summer camps offer an immersive experience where students can collaborate on larger projects, develop their teamwork skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
In addition to our local programs, Up the Ratios is committed to making a global impact. We take donations of new and gently used robotics parts, which we then distribute to students and educational institutions in other countries. These donations help ensure that young learners worldwide have the resources they need to explore and excel in STEM fields. By supporting education in this way, we aim to nurture a global community of future leaders and innovators.
Our live lectures feature guest speakers from various STEM disciplines, including engineers, scientists, and industry professionals who share their knowledge and experiences with our students. These lectures provide valuable insights into potential career paths and inspire students to pursue their passions in STEM.
Up the Ratios relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to continue our work. Contributions of time, expertise, and financial support are crucial to sustaining our programs and expanding our reach. Whether you're an individual passionate about education, a professional in the STEM field, or a company looking to give back to the community, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
We are proud of the positive impact we've had on the lives of countless students, many of whom have gone on to pursue higher education and careers in STEM. The Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations over Jerusalem
1. The Israeli-Palestinian
Negotiations over Jerusalem
The Challenge Jerusalem is at the very core of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the heart of the national,
religious and political discourse on both sides. This makes the need to find a way to resolve
the conflict vital. Indeed, there will be no peace agreement without resolving the thorny issues
regarding Jerusalem. Due to the sensitivity of the subject, however, it is difficult for the negotiators
to adequately prepare the topic of Jerusalem in advance of a possible new round of negotiations.
Therefore, we at JIIS believe it is incumbent upon us to assist in this complex task and that we
have the tools and experience to do so. The challenge here is to draft comprehensive proposals and
analyses for decision makers that include alternative scenarios and innovative ideas for resolving
the Jerusalem quagmire.
The Project Plan To draft a guide for Israeli negotiators that focuses on Jerusalem. The document »» will include:
background material on geography, demography and social issues; a mapping of the parties
that have interests in Jerusalem and an analysis of those interests; an outline of possible
alternative scenarios regarding Jerusalem for Israel to examine; and ramifications of the
different scenarios on life in the city. It will also include an analysis of previous negotiations
and lessons learned from them and – notably – an evaluation of possible steps to take in the
absence of an agreement.
»»To assess the viability of a “special regime” model for the Historic Basin (the Old City and
surrounding areas); this will be a joint endeavor with a Palestinian team. The teams will define
parameters of a joint special regime to operate in the Basin area in the framework of a peace
treaty; they will address municipal services, management of holy sites, security and economic
questions, and more.
Anticipated Products »»A negotiations guide aimed at the Israeli side, with a focus on topics pertaining to Jerusalem
»»A model of a special Israeli-Palestinian regime in the Old City and surroundings
Anticipated Impact »» Enriching the knowledge of the primary negotiators and other actors involved in the talks over
the future of Jerusalem. This will be done through documents, briefings and brainstorming
sessions with experts
»» Professional thorough preparations regarding possible alternative scenarios concerning
Jerusalem for Israel to examine

Cost Negotiations guide (including briefings with decision makers/negotiators): $80,000

non-profit think tank, which has been engaged in the study of Jerusalem since its

our closely guarded integrity, independence, and quality.
