Is climate
   change
happening?
   Daniela Di Silvio
• Evidences which show that climate change is
  happening:
Sea level rise

Global sea level rose about 17 centimeters
in the last century.
Global temperature rise

   Surface temperature has warmed since 1880, most of this
  warming has happened since 1970s. The 10 warmest years
  ocurred in the past 12 years and between 2007 and 2009
  surface temperatures continue to increase.
Warming oceans

The oceans have absorbed much of this increase
heat, with the top 700 meters of ocean showing
warming of 0,302 degrees Fahrenheit since 1969.
Melting of ice sheets

 Greenland lost 150 to 250 cubic kilometers of ice per year
 between 2002 and 2006, while Antarctica lost about 152
 cubic kilometers of ice between 2002 and 2005 .
Glaciar retreat

 Glaciers are retreating almost everywhere around the world —
 including in the Alps, Himalayas, Andes, Rockies, Alaska and Africa.

How can we stop the
  climate change?
• separating the garbage
• Using saving lights
• Using your bicycle, a public
transport or walking instead of
        using your car
•Turning off the lights when you aren’t
              using them
• Don’t wasting the watter
•Loving the planet
