These are: There are many tourists as it is near the main cities e.g Swansea and Port Talbot As its near all the main towns there are lots of buyers leading to profit There is lots of land equalling lots of produce It is near the m4 motorway meaning they can transport their goods very easily as they're only hours away from the main cities/towns e.g on the m4 London is only 2 hours away. This means a profit.
Recently Ty Tanglwyst Farm has begun to introduce other uses of its land to make more money. These include: Holiday Cottages  -Ivy Cottage- Ivy Cottage sleeps up to 5 people.  -Swallow Cottage- Swallow Cottage sleeps up to 5 people.  -The Coach House- The Coach House is a spacious barn conversion which can comfortably accommodate 8 people  -The Granary- The granary is a spacious detached barn of historical interest sleeping up to 6 people plus sofa bed.  Diversification – Woodland Scheme  -a 25 acre ancient woodland full of beautiful walks.

Summary Farms are becoming very expensive to run with all the machinery costs and the money they use to buy feed for the animals. The amount of farms are decreasing as many buy milk from overseas as it’s a lot cheaper than buying it from over here. People are beginning to find different jobs that require less work yet pay more. The farmers are making less and less profit as the amount of money being put into making the produce is far greater than the amount they are getting paid for the produce.
