Coursework skills:
Annotated photos
You need to choose two contrasting pictures from
different areas for example the sea front and one
other area.
Blackpool tower is a
tourist attraction…
MacDonalds...
Remember to say which transect you were on and the
street name.
Which part of the Burgess/Seaside model were you in
when the picture was taken.
What is the evidence? How do you know?
Tram………….
What not to do…
Don’t pick pictures that are
too specific. You may well
have pictures of benches on
a street but what can you
annotate? Not a lot!
You CANNOT use the
same picture as
someone else.
The picture has to be
suitable for annotation
not necessarily the most
interesting to look at, so
share them out.
What you must do…
1) Add as much detail as you can for each
picture.
2) Use keywords in your text
3) Refer to your pictures and annotations
in the main body of your write up – like
you would for any graph or table.
4) Work on your own – you cannot discuss
your work as this is YOUR coursework
it must be YOUR words/ideas/opinions.
