2. Context: The Challenge!
The Cyrenians wanted to make people aware that homelessness is an issue all
year round, not just at Christmas. They also wanted to set themselves apart from
those charities that do focus on providing temporary accommodation, food and
fundraising activities at Christmas and not the rest of the year. The project
focussed on developing approaches and materials to promote this campaign
to a wide target audience.

4. Design role:
Why should effective design
solutions be the preserve of
‘commercial design’?
Students work collaboratively on
a live brief with a client from the
third sector. The project develops
the students awareness of issues
around homelessness and the
communication of those issues.
