The business landscape is changing. It's driven by significant changes in infrastructure, economics, and 3 big technology shifts that are happening simultaneously. On top of that there are emerging technologies that have the potential for an even more profound effect on the World economy and our business. I want to make you step back and look at things we already know about the digital landscape, the digital workplace and digital disruption and look at them with fresh eyes and think about them differently. We call this the Digital Enterprise Wave - ride it, or go under.
Product Managers: Thinking is good but feeling is betterSandra Davey
You can learn product management, you can learn the full-stack environment your dev works in, and you can learn how to prototype; these are all professional skills we learn in our jobs. But the rest, the big stuff, the important stuff, you gotta feel it.
In product management, we make a truckload of logical, rational decisions and choices. using logic, reason and method we immerse ourselves in the data so can make "data driven decisions". And they're good decisions right, cause it's data. And to get there, we revere rationality, logic, structure, but often to the exclusion of emotion, feeling, gut, instinct and knowledge.
So I wanna talk about this 'soft' stuff. Of giving voice, of feeling and expressing vulnerability, of the power of listening, of using empathy and emotion ... the stuff of creativity to help make choices and decisions. And you learn this by feeling it, experiencing and doing it, by being it. Not by reading about it.

My Rethinking Digital 2nd keynote from the i2 Summit 2015 in Zurich. About rethinking digital, providing building blocks and an implementation approach for your transformation, and hopefully inspiring you to do something differently tomorrow in your digital business efforts. Everyone's talking digital and it's dangerous... too dangerous to dilute the term, but crucially important that we understand it properly. Digital is becoming a synonym for technology or new or new technology. You need to understand the digital enterprise wave - the current disruptive landscape. Then here are 8 building blocks for transformation, and then our 7E approach to implementing change. Finally I echo Michael Corleone telling Sonny "it's not personal, it's business" with our version "it's not digital, it's business".

* How to tap into the collective knowledge and expertise of your stakeholders to foster a sense of shared purpose and community involvement

Competency traps are the mistaken beliefs that the factors that led to past success will also be associated with future success. Digital technologies are changing the competitive landscape — providing new ways of delivering value to customers and new service opportunities — and factors associated with past successes may not be associated with future success.
Digital technologies allow organizations to reinvent themselves – transforming the core of the business and finding and exploiting new sources of value. However, many organizations are struggling to reinvent themselves because they run up against a significant barrier – culture. Our research shows that culture is the number 1 barrier to digital transformation.
This edition of the Digital Transformation Review focuses on this critical, but neglected, topic:
How are large and traditional organizations tackling the thorny issue of digital culture?
What do digital-native firms do differently when it comes to digital culture?
What advice do leading academics have for organizations attempting to get digital culture change right?
We share the insights of key leaders and experts on this topic, representing the views of traditional companies, academia, and the Silicon Valley. We also outline Capgeminis’ point of view on how organizations can close the growing employee-leadership gap in digital culture, drawing on an extensive global survey.

Digital culture: The Disconnect Between Leadership And Employees Couldn’t be ...Seta Wicaksana
Digital technologies can bring significant new value, but organizations will only unlock that potential if they have the right digital culture ingrained and in place. Currently, that is not happening.
Employees are being sidelined and disenfranchised in the culture change journey, and the gap between leadership and employee perceptions is stark.
There are three key aspects to ensuring the success of your company undergoing digital transformation. These are: leadership and talent, culture and change management.
Kati Price – Head of Digital Media and Publishing (Victoria and Albert Museum)
How do museums and other cultural organizations identify exactly how big their digital teams should be, how they should be structured, and where they should sit in the organization? And how do they define and measure digital success?
In this session we examine how GLAM organizations are re-configuring their digital teams to define and drive success, and identify the patterns that are beginning to emerge.
The disruption currently being caused by new technologies and digital communication is huge. Whole sectors such as publishing, financial services and retail are experiencing seismic change with many long established brands falling by the wayside as they struggle to adapt to the new market context.
The challenge facing the not-for-profit sector is no less real and pressing, and it is the responsibility of leaders within the sector to fully embrace the need for change and transformation that digital engenders. ‘Digital transformation’ is not an operational process. It is a cultural shift in the human behaviours, relationships and capabilities that already exist within an organisation.
Nick Torday, MD of Sift Digital and Adam Fisher, Head of IT of Sue Ryder spoke at an event in February 2016, talking about the perfect storm that faces the sector, the key areas of focus for leaders and the cultural change that is fundamental to building a sustainable future for your organisation.
Digital Teams in 2018: The New Landscape of Digital Engagement – Jason MogusNetSquared Vancouver
The state of digital teams inside our nonprofits often reflects deeper issues of culture and structure and how well adapted our institutions are to today's communications landscape. So what's going on with digital teams today? What team structures, roles, and behaviours are producing the best outcomes? Are we getting better at cross-silo and cross-channel communications? Are we set up to really deliver on the promise of digital engagement?

The Real Impact of Digital - As Seen From the "Virtual Coalface"thisfluidworld
A new study by INSEAD and this fluid world challenges some of the common assumptions and beliefs about the positioning of “digital”. The study approaches the issue of digital from a fresh direction: the real perceptions and experiences of managers on the ground and “in the coalface” of business. The results, as well as 21 insights and recommendations for the 21st century, are highlighted in this report The Real Impact of Digital - As Seen from the “Virtual Coalface”.
Are you a Digital Transformation leader? Can you create a high-performance strategy in the digital age? Have you got what it takes to avoid the tumbling barrels of distracting digital tactics, over hyped technology or the belief that your market is immune to disruption? Have you allocated the right resources to deliver a focused plan of transformation?
Digital transformation is the process of re building a business from scratch using digital technologies. It is key to becoming more customer centric. Organizations that go through digital transformation emerge with new opportunities, new purposes, new practices, and new products. Digital leadership is the set of skills, knowledge, and behaviors that individuals exhibit to successfully lead the digital activity of an organization. Required leadership skills include communication, project management, team management, finance, and conflict resolution. Digital leadership involves challenging traditional models and approaches. Digital leaders are the people responsible for managing digital transformation. They understand the disruptive potential of technology. This paper provides a primer on digital leadership. Matthew N. This presentation is about the importance of culture in the process of digital transformation. Often times we talk about how important it is to have a digital solution to the packaging industry. But what if the company is not ready yet? What steps have to be taken internally to succeed in the digital transformation journey before jumping directly to the transformation itself? Let's try to find out!
This White Paper explores the role of planning in
today’s ever-changing world of advertising & marketing.
First, a job profile for the post-digital planner is defined on
the basis of 3 core duties. Then, two campaign cases are
discussed, explaining how post-digital planning added value
to the creative process.

Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

Up the Ratios Bylaws - a Comprehensive Process of Our Organizationuptheratios
Up the Ratios is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap in STEM education for underprivileged students by providing free, high-quality learning opportunities in robotics and other STEM fields. Our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and problem-solvers by offering a range of educational programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
At Up the Ratios, we believe that every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, should have access to the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in today's technology-driven world. To achieve this, we host a variety of free classes, workshops, summer camps, and live lectures tailored to students from underserved communities. Our programs are designed to be engaging and hands-on, allowing students to explore the exciting world of robotics and STEM through practical, real-world applications.
Our free classes cover fundamental concepts in robotics, coding, and engineering, providing students with a strong foundation in these critical areas. Through our interactive workshops, students can dive deeper into specific topics, working on projects that challenge them to apply what they've learned and think creatively. Our summer camps offer an immersive experience where students can collaborate on larger projects, develop their teamwork skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
In addition to our local programs, Up the Ratios is committed to making a global impact. We take donations of new and gently used robotics parts, which we then distribute to students and educational institutions in other countries. These donations help ensure that young learners worldwide have the resources they need to explore and excel in STEM fields. By supporting education in this way, we aim to nurture a global community of future leaders and innovators.
Our live lectures feature guest speakers from various STEM disciplines, including engineers, scientists, and industry professionals who share their knowledge and experiences with our students. These lectures provide valuable insights into potential career paths and inspire students to pursue their passions in STEM.
Up the Ratios relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to continue our work. Contributions of time, expertise, and financial support are crucial to sustaining our programs and expanding our reach. Whether you're an individual passionate about education, a professional in the STEM field, or a company looking to give back to the community, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
We are proud of the positive impact we've had on the lives of countless students, many of whom have gone on to pursue higher education and careers in STEM. By providing these young minds with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed, we are not only changing their futures but also contributing to the advancement of technology and innovation on a broader scale.

3. Having a separate digital strategy from
the core organisational strategy is no
longer desirable. It reinforces a perception
that digital is just another department with
its own agenda.
Instead digital technology must be woven
through all activities and departments.
#2
4. In order for this change process to be
effective, HR teams must be more
involved in conversations about
digital transformation.
HR directors will have a lot of
responsibility for making the
necessary culture change happen.

5. A digital skills bottleneck is happening
in many organisations.
Digital teams must shift to a culture that
facilitates other departments to grow
digital skills – rather than doing things
on their behalf.

organisations in this New Reality will be:
• Curiosity
• Proactiveness
• Transparency
