The first actual use of a chemical weapon was in August 1914. The French utilized
tear gas grenades during an attack against the Germans. One of the more known use
of a chemical weapon was at the Second Battle of Ypres in April 1915. 160 tonnes
of chlorine gas was released onto the French and Algerian troops. This could be
considered the starting point in chemical warfareas it was the first large scale
deployment of a chemical gas meant for harm. As more and more chemical weapons
were developed, more and more countries followed the trend.
The use of chlorine gas in trench warfare was first developed by Fritz Haber in
1914 as of help to the German army. At the Second Battle of Ypres, about 6,000

Summon Night 5 Analysis
Summon Night 5 is a strategy JRPG and part visual novel. At the start of the game
you can pick to play as one of two characters, Arca or Folth. I played mostly as
Folth in this review but I did try out Arca to see if the story changed but it seemed
to stay the same besides the characters gender. Very early in the game you will be
saved by a Cross or in other terms the character that will become your summon. The
Cross you get depends on what item you give it as a reward for saving you early on
in the game. I got a mechanical cross named Dyth.
The story plays out visual novel style so be papered to read a lot, luckily the story
here is well written. After meeting his or her cross the players character will go off
to become a summoner of the Eucross. The Eucross is an order who keep peace
among the different types of entity s from different dimensions who all live in the
mostly peaceful city of Savorle. To advance the story along the player will travel a
big map going to each area that is gold to talk to certain characters. After doing this
you will come to an event where you will end up in a fight. Always save before a
event or you may very well lose hours of play. My only problem with the story wasn
t with the story its self but there are a few typos her and there.
The battles are turn based meaning you get to move all of your characters and use
actions and then end your turn and your enemies will do the same. At the start of
each battle you will be able to select what units you want to use and then you will

Voltaire s Candide is the story of how one man s adventures affect his philosophy on
life. Candide begins his journey full of optimism that he lives in the best of all
possible worlds, but he learns that it is naГЇve to say that good will eventually come
of any evil.
Voltaire successfully uses satire as a means of conveying his opinions about many
aspects of European society in the eighteenth century. He criticizes religion, the evils
found in every level of society, and a philosophy of optimism when faced with an
intolerable world.

Christianity teaches that we are all God s children, but the Negro is a slave to a
cruel master that has cut off his arm and leg. The old woman tells Candide a story
of a supposed holy man that convinces the Janizaries not to kill the women for food,
but only to slice off one of their buttocks to eat. This pious and compassionate
Moslem priest convinced them that heaven will be pleased by such a charitable

Voltaire attacks the corruption within the church and its officials as well. The
Grand Inquisitor, a significant clergyman, makes Cunegonde his mistress at a

identifies herself as the bastard daughter of a pope, and the papacy is also identified
as keeping soldiers for private use. When Candide is ill in France, a clergyman is one
of the many that harasses him in attempt on his wealth. Ironically, the disease that
Pangloss catches from Paquette, originated from a Franciscan priest. Voltaire portrays

included in the series of novels The New York Trilogy (1987). One of the essential
themes that recur in many of Austers works is the search for identity and personal
meaning, and this is exactly one of the main elements of City of Glass. It deals with
this detective writer, who descends into madness when he becomes a private
investigator himself by mistake. In the following essay, I will focus on the
characters and the very twisted point of view, which is a big part of the whole novel.

One of the other persons you don t hear a lot about, but who still plays a big role in
the whole story, is the actual Paul Auster. He is the one that Stillman Jr. meant to call,
but because of a problem with the phone lines he got Quinn instead, who just went
with it. Paul Auster is also a writer, and when Quinn informs him about the case and
the situation, he starts helping out by drawing possible conclusions and giving
advice. He gets worried when Quinn disappears, but at the same time he does not
really make an effort to find him. The last, important character in the novel, the
narrator, who appears in the end, where he/she has just returned from a trip to Africa,
also points this out. He/she accuses Auster to be indifferent to Quinn after hearing the
whole story, and it is him/her who comes up with the idea of Quinn being at the
Stillmans house. Although he/she is the one person in the novel who has the most
trivial relationship to Quinn, he/she is the one who cares the most.
The centre and the main character in the story is Daniel Quinn, but he is referred to
in 3rd person, which means that he is not the narrator. The narrator does not appear
before the end of the novel, where he/she goes from implicit to explicit. This I

Obesity is a huge problem that is multiplying at an alarming rate but could it be
caused by advertising.But there are reasons like tv that count on kids being inactive
for them to make money. Also the ads that focus on food are especially dangerous.
Finally how does the obesity affect kids when they re adults.
Tv is a key part in advertising to kids by making them inactive. The way they do it
is by using the tv shows kids love and putting commercials during the program. But
they need to keep their attention so they use pretty colors and short fast cuts to keep
their attention. I feel that to keep healthy, parents should encourage their kids to
work out or run for a little bit, it doesn t even have to be long, just a quick 30 minutes.
Ads like Arby s that say they have the meats trying to imply they have the best kind
of meat on the market or McDonald s that added apples to the menu to make worried
parents think their food is healthy but in reality it is still just as bad as it was before.
The ads then cause kids who are already unhealthy to get even more unhealthy
when they see these ads and want their food even more causing a cycle that makes
them obese. These tactics have been around for a long time but they got worse now
that kids don t work out as much as they use to do. To stop this behavior, parents just
need to say no to their kids.
Finally, I d like to talk about how obesity could affect adults. Some side effects of
obesity can be type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and High Total, LDL Cholesterol and
triglyceride levels in the blood to name a few. But they can also be just as heavy if
not more than they were as kids due to advertising in their adult life and not being
able to leave it alone. This a really really bad problem that needs to be fixed or a least
help the parents by making programs with less ads so the parents don t have to
