in which Virgil appears as Dante's guide through hell
and purgatory.
Text
 The myth of Aeneas, Greek in origin, had to be
reconciled with the Italian myth of Romulus and
Remus, who, taken as historical figures, would have
been born around 771 BC.
Brief Summary
 Romulus and Remus were twin brothers who were
rescued by a she-wolf after being abandoned on the
banks of the Tiber River on the orders of a wicked
king, Amulius. Years later, Romulus killed his
brother Remus during an argument, and went on to
found the city of Rome.

the story. Has a flat character in the story.
PLOT
There were twin
brothers called
Romulus and Remus,
whose father was
Mars and whose
mother was Rhea
Silvia.
Amulius was angry
when Romulus and
Remus were born. He
stole the twin
brothers, and threw
them in the river.
Romulus and Remus
killed Amulius.
Remus jumped over
Romulus’ wall and
made fun of how
small his city was.
Romulus killed
Remus.
Theme
 A moment of patience in a moment of anger saves
you a hundred moments of regret.
Impact to their Society
 The Romans believed their great city was founded
in violence, blood, and victory. That tale is told in
the story of Romulus and Remus.
 Basically it gave the Romans a reason to believe
they were better than everyone else.
Grazie ed abbia un buon
giorno!
