The basics
To create a new presentation
Open the Slides app.
Touch the +
(plus) button
to start a blank
presentation.
Or choose from
several
theme and layouts.
To edit a theme’s master
and layout...
Open a
presentation in
Google Slides.
Click the Slide
menu, then
select Edit
master.
The master
template
editor will
appear.
To edit the master or
one of the layouts,
select it from the list on
the left.
make any changes
you’d like to the
appearance of the
layout or master.
Inserting
a new
custom slide.
click the New
Slide/+ button.
You can insert
images, shapes,
and other items.
as well as change
the formatting of
text and shapes.
How to
duplicate a
slide?
● Go to the Slide
menu and select
'Duplicate slide.
To duplicate slides..
Or right-click the
slide on the list of
layouts and select
Duplicate slide.
Inserting a placeholder…
- click the Insert menu, select
Placeholder, and choose to add a
title, subtitle, or body text
placeholder.
Add, delete &
organize slides
There are 4 ways To
add a slide.
1. Click the black + (plus)
button directly above
the list of slides on the
left.
2. Go to the Slide
menu and select
'New slide.'
3. Right click in the
slide filmstrip and
select 'New slide.'
4. Use the Ctrl+M (Cmd
+ M on a Mac)
keyboard shortcut.
Delete slides in 3
ways...
Delete a slide in 3 ways:
1. Go to the Slide
menu and select
Delete slide.
2. right click the slide
you'd like to delete and
select Delete slide.
3. select the slide you'd like
to delete and press Delete on
your keyboard.
Format text
on a slide
by...
1.simply selecting a
different font from the
font drop-down menu in
the toolbar.
Change the color
of text by the
following..
1.select the text
you'd like to
modify.
2. click the button in the
toolbar menu.
3. choose either
“Text” or “Highlight,”
and select a color.
Refer to the photo
on the next slide.
Format
objects on a
slide ● use the Format
menu or the toolbar
above the slide
editing space.
Change the
color of
objects
1. Select an object,
click the Fill color
icon in the
toolbar.
2. Select a
color from the
color picker.
1.click one of the
resize handles
surrounding it.
To resize
an object
2. drag the box inward or
outward as you prefer
3. preserve the object’s height or width
by holding Shift while resizing the
object.
Modify
multiple
objects at
once 1. hold the Shift key
while selecting
each object
2. or drag your mouse
over all of the objects
you'd like to select.
Change the size of your slides
● Click File > Page setup.
● Select a size from the
dropdown menu or
custom.
● Click OK.
View Presentations
Click on the present button
and choose presenter
view or from the
beginning.
● Next to the title, touch the
file menu button .
● Choose Make a copy.
Make a
copy of a
presentation
To rename file
just click title
on the upper left corner.
To arrange/organize an
object you may click on it
then head to “Arrange”
button on the menu.
Or you can also right
click on the object
directly to oraganize or
make changes
All your changes
are saved
automatically.
