Eighty-four percent of consumers say they either completely or somewhat trust recommendations from family and friends about products and services. Travel is no different, as it is both a product and a service. In 2015, Dr. Corie Martin completed a nationwide research study on admissions and marketing recruitment outreach activities and observed thousands of student interactions within university social media communities. The results of the study showed what was really important to students and suggested how Higher Ed leadership might prepare for the next generation of prospective students.
