Asif Tarar’s all round show
stuns Crusaders by 30 runs
one good over from lanky West
Indian fast bowler Diego to dis-
miss both the batsmen in the
same over.
Málaga CC then piled on
runs easily and scored 226-7 off
30 overs.
The Crusaders' start was
made significantly harder by
Malaga’s new ball bowlers as
they bowled the off stump line
which made run scoring diffi-
cult.
Guy Dumas lost his wicket in
the process which bought cap-
tain Jesper Hansen (67*) to the
crease with Chris Batten(53)
who had a quick partnership of
78 runs.

The Costa del Sol Crusaders
met Málaga Cricket Club on the
pitch and both the teams looked
rusty in the first half of the
match as the Crusaders
struggled in the field by giving
away 52 runs in extras.
Málaga CC batted first and
were reduced to 72-4 off 12 overs.
The sixth wicket partnership
between captain Asif Tarar (59)
and Nadeem (56) of 130 runs
brought Málaga back into the
game as they smashed bowlers
all over the park.
At a point where 150 looked
impossible for Málaga, they took
the attack to the bowlers. It took
captain who remained unbeaten
on 67 and was left stranded at
the non-strikers when it mat-
tered the most.
227 looked far too much at the
end for Crusaders as they ended
up on 196-7 losing by 30 runs.
Malaga CC 226-7 (Asif
Tarar 59, Nadeem 56, Guy
Dumas 2-35, Diego 2-18) beat
Crusaders 196-7 (Jesper
Hansen 67*, Chris Batten 53,
Waqas Ali 1-31, Asif Tarar 1-37)
