Project Statement –The School District of North Fond du Lac is dedicated to
    evolvinginstructional practices to better meet the needs of our students and
    prepare them for life outsideof school through fundamentally changing the way
    students are engaged in the learning process.
    Goals:


   Increase student engagement in the learning process.

   Increase student achievement.

   Cognitive, Social, Creative and Emotional Growth.

   Engagement – students actively involved in the learning process

   Achievement – the attainment of specific skills or knowledge

 60% of the Teachers believe their students are slightly to
  moderately bored at school

 60% of the Teachers believe their students are moderately
  engaged

 Teachers state 80% of their students have average grades of
  B’s or less

 80% of the Teachers believe the iPad will highly impact their
  students’ learning

 20% of the Teachers believe the iPad will greatly impact their
  students’ learning
High School Student Engagement
Prior to the Study

 92% of the High School Students owned a piece of technology, but
  did not own a “lite, mobile computing device”

 50% of the High School Students relied on their phone more than
  any other technology

 75% of the High School Students used technology on a daily basis
  for educational purposes

 58% of the High School Students used technology for information
  gathering purposes

 100% of the High School Students agree that they accomplish more
  academically because of the use of technology
