with assistance from videos, robots, and a
Voki. Worksheets and assignments will be
completed at the end of each day with 100%
accuracy.
Day to Day Breakdown
Day 1
What is an Equation? Video
Turning sentences into equations worksheet (on facebook) with Voki.
Day 2
Steps to solve an equation with Bot. Worksheet assignment (on facebook)
Day 3
Properties explained by in class activity.
Evaluating expressions. Continue use of Bot.
Day 4
Function tables with worksheet (on facebook)
Day 5
Graphing tables in class. Matching one equation to a graph already made on
Twitter.
Read blog to understand importance of work.
Use of Technology
The seventh grade students will have access to calculators
when necessary. A smartboard will be used each day in
class for notes and interactive assignments. A Voki will be
used to recite worksheets for those students having trouble
reading them in the correct format or with better auditory
than visual learning abilities. All worksheets given in class
will also be posted on Facebook incase of a mishap.
Twitter will be used for class assignments where multiple
groups of students have similar, but slightly different
assignments. Twitter and Facebook can also be used for
questions or concerns while students are at home. A video
will be used to introduce basic ideas of equations and the
first assignment. A blog will be read at the end of the class
to demonstrate the importance of the lesson.
