Descriptive Essay About My Birthday Day
January 13, 2012 is the day when tears ran down my cheeks and feeling the wind rush against
my drenched skin, hoping it would drown the sorrows along with the cruise. That day, I felt the
pain stab through my heart as I stood on the island and wished they would come back to me.
Looking all around and seeing joy, regret, and distraught looks on everyone. The coast guards
grabbing me and directing all of us away. Glancing over my shoulder to look at the wreckage one
last time, only to close them quickly after seeing the golden bracelet floating in the water again.
At 9:39 pm. I walked into my friend s cabin and glanced around surprised. The room was covered
with blue and purple balloons, and streamers. Directly on the wall was a banner ... Show more

My friend grabs my hand so tight I thought it might break. I thought to myself we are going to
survive this together as water started filling up the ship. Squeezing her hand just as tight as we
both push with everything we had in us to get out of the halls. Fifteen minutes later we are on the
outside of the ship as it continues to tilt. We see the deck is covered with water up to our ankles
and the employees are calling for women and children first. Pulling my best friend along trying to
push through to get to the lifeboats.
As we arrived to one of the last lifeboats, we hear loud sobbing behind us. I turn around and see a
mother attempting to comfort her young sobbing daughter by rubbing and hugging her. My best
friend and I looked at each other and nodded to each other, instantly understanding each as fast as
lightning strikes. We both step aside and let them take the last two seats on the lifeboat. We
stand there watching the lifeboat get lowered into the sea, the water splashing into my mouth
getting it all salty. We quickly run around looking for any lifeboats. We see one unoccupied and
we sprint like our lives on the line. Right before we got to it, The Italian Captain pushes the
lifeboat in the water and jumps in. We get to the rail and stare down and see the captain not even
sparing us a glance as he got to safety to the island nearby. My friend looked at me with

Design Aspects Of The Composite Replacing Metal Parts
Introduction: Since the first aircraft was developed for flight, people have had a goal to
improve the aircraft s physical applications and production of the aircraft more profitable. These
changes made aircraft lighter and have increase flight ranges for aircraft for useful for people. In
aircraft modification in today s world is making another major leap in attempting to replace metal
structures on aircraft. The reasons for the changes are due to production cost, to create a lighter
aircraft, to increase load capabilities, and aim to prevent fatigue and corrosion damage. New
structures are being developed to replace metal parts happen to be composite parts. Composite (ex:

The benefits of composite over metal structures are making composites the best option. Certain
benefits can lower production costs; material is improved from morphing of aircraft structures,
corrosion does not happen in composites which lead to longer lifetime, the overall production
cost of the aircraft becomes lower due to the aircraft being lighter and increases lift for the
improved performance out of the aircraft. Research like this tends to have positive effects on
different commercial products such as cars and houses. A question that comes up why hasn t
composites been utilize earlier , the answer is technology has finally been able to make
composites at affordable prices and the knowledge of materials has increased to a point where it
could be applied properly. Composites materials are still in early stages of development, but are
being applied in aircraft currently to learn more how they function. As the understanding improves
of composites, the application of materials is increased in aircraft structures. The objectives are to
understand how aircraft structures are changing from metal to composite parts. This is caused by
latest technology and new requirements from aircraft users. With new capabilities in materials,
composites in aircraft structures remain still in the beginning stages however over time composite
structure will be developed for additional purposes. Literature Review: The Composite Structures

An Aggressive Action As Intentional Behavior
The chapter defines an aggressive action as intentional behavior aimed at causing either physical
or psychological pain. More recently, anger violence, and aggression has become part of our day
to day lives. But what are the causes to this increase of human aggression? Why are humans
becoming more numb to others pain and insensitive to their feelings? It s chilling to see how the
world around us can affect our state of mind.
Many scholars have debated on whether aggression is due to biology or our environment. Tomas
Hobbes for example, stated in 1651 that in our natural state, we are brutes and are prone to
enforcing the law. He believed humans have a natural instinct towards aggression. Jean Jacques
Rousseau s disagreed with that viewpoint; she thought that humans were born gentle creatures and
that our society forces aggressive tendencies on us. Although Hobbes and Rousseau seemed to be
extremists in their opinions, I thought both takes on aggression were true. Aggression is due to
both biology and the environment. Studies have proven that aggression is that something that has
to be learned. Humans have developed and adapted so much over time it seems that certain
necessities for survival have been ingrained in us from our ancestors. We have a natural instinct to
protect our territory and threats from the environment can cause us to act both physically and
mentally aggressive. A lot of research that s been collected about human aggression was from

Analysis Of Avital Cohen And Tsal Essay
The article by Avital Cohen and Tsal (2016) discussed the flanker task experiment, which asserted
that distractor interference happens unconsciously as a result of focused attention toward the target.
The results from the original flanker task indicated that participants had slower responses for
incongruent trials, since the distractors are inconsistent with the target and would require a
different response (Avital Cohen Tsal, 2016). However, Avital Cohen and Tsal (2016) questioned
the findings from the flanker task experiment. They decided to challenge the idea that only the
target stimuli receives top down processing, and not the distractors (Avital Cohen Tsal, 2016). The
first experiment aimed to test whether the distractor interference is purely bottom up processing as
claimed in the flanker task. The experiment manipulated participants expectations of the target
using the context effect a type of top down processing by changing the distractors to be either
letters or digits (Psych 240 lecture, 9/21/16). Then, the researchers conducted a second experiment
and eliminated the ambiguity of distractors. They wanted to test whether the result from
experiment 1 was caused by an overall bias or the ambiguous distractors. In experiment 2, the
researchers predicted that they would obtain similar results to the first experiment only if the
results were due to an overall bias effect (Avital Cohen Tsal, 2016). This study allows us to deepen

Planaria Fermentation Results
After performing the experiment, the results showed that planaria were typically more successful
in regenerating when they were cut transversely at the tail than when they were decapitated at both
the one week mark and the two week mark. The only exception was at the one week mark, when a
higher ratio of the top parts of the planaria fully regenerated than did the bottom parts. Even further,
the data seemed to show that the bottom part of the planaria was much more successful at
regenerating than the top part was. For example, after one week, 92.5% of the bottom part of a
planaria that was transversely cut through the tail partially regenerated, where only 55% of the top
part of the planaria that was decapitated partially regenerated. Thus, the results of this experiment
support current research that states that some areas of the planaria are able to regenerate more
quickly than other parts.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the biggest problems was that all 10 of Group 4 s planaria s heads died because the worms
left the water and died during the second week. Although this was not really the experimenters
faults, it definitely altered the results. Furthermore, while we did have multiple repetitions, the
number of repetitions was still small. Also, we did have a fairly large sample size (40), but even
so, random chance might have altered the data. It s important to recognize that there are factors that
may have caused the results to become less accurate, but because there were multiple repetitions
and many samples, the effects of random chance were likely minimized. Additionally, many people
found it hard to determine whether planaria were partially regenerated or fully regenerated, which
may have altered the data and made them less

Binge Drinking In College Essay
Introduction/Background
Most research focuses on binge drinking within a 4 year college setting, however respectfully the
majority of variables remain constant between 2 year and 4 year institutions, therefore posing the
question is this an issue among 2 year colleges as well. The focus of this research paper is to
establish the significance of binge drinking within the community college setting, consider what
the causes are and how to change the thought processes that are intertwined within this culture
through prevention/harm reduction education.
The documented data states that college students who are athletes, males, whites and some first

undergrad level. The environmental differences contribute to the lower numbers at a community

norms. Prevention and intervention efforts would need to speak to these differences in campus life

Qualitative Analysis Of Chemistry Cations
RESULTS DISCUSSION
The experiment used qualitative analysis to determine two cations in an unknown solution. In Part
A, identified either silver or lead that was interfused into the metal nitrate salts solution. In Part B,
calcium or barium would appear. In Part C, another method of qualitative analysis was performed
by cation flame tests. The various metal chloride solutions would be used to observed and recorded
the colored flame of each species. The goal was to practice qualitative strategies to be able to
precipitate, separate and identify the unknown cations in the solution by used lab equipment such
as the centrifuge, disposable pipette, and Bunsen burner.
If the experiment were repeated, some parts of procedure should be modified or improved to
shorten the time of experiment and make the experiment more organized. Such as the Part A, Step
5; after heated up the test tube in the boiling water, used cold water to cool down the temperature
of the test tube instead of cool it down spontaneously. By modified that it would save more time.
Since there were so many groups doing the same step together, the lab equipment was limit such as
the centrifuge. Students lined up in front of the centrifuge to wait for the others. Students could
spread out to the different part of the experiment, some groups could start with Part A and the other
can start with Part C.
The unknown solution #4 was assigned and analyzed. Followed the steps in Part A to identify the

The Importance Of Lowering The Voting Age
For the age to be maitaned or lowered is really a tricky question knowing most of the people in
the United states can t vote because of felonys. But I think they should lower the voting age.
Having younger voters is crucial at times but it will lower the voter turnout. Most of the 16 and 17
year olds have felonys because of something they did and that eliminates them from vosting until
the age of 18. Most contries have lowered there votingage and turned out great. Knowing that

Defining Goffman s Total Institution Essay
To examine how far Lennox castle hospital was an example of what Goffman called a Total
Institution I will first need to explore Goffman s definition of this, along with the four factors that
he identified as characteristics of a Total institution I will then go on to discuss how these four
factors fit with Lennox castle hospital and determine whether or not it fell into Goffman s model of
a Total Institution.
In order to discuss how Goffman s four factors fit with Lennox castle hospital I will first examine
his definition. In 1961 Goffman stated that a total institution is a place of residence and work

Ethnic wear was initially a category that was largely restricted to the older age segment. However,
it is now finding acceptance even among younger consumers, especially women. The young college
going girl teams her Indian kurta with either a pair of denims or leggings that represent a fusion of
ethnic wear with western wear. This has led to brands focusing on ethnic fusion wear product
offerings, in western styles and prints, in order to capture the opportunity. With an interesting
interplay of woven, knits and other fashion brands, these brands have completely redefined ethnic

South Asia And Australia Essay
Every country in our world today shares some sort of relationship with another country. Whether it s
peaceful, aggressive, wanted or unwanted, each place shares a link with another. Australia has
countless connections across the world, but one continent we have a major connection with is Asia,
more specifically South Asia. The AsiaAustralia relationship can be separated into cultural and
political links. These cultural links include customs and traditions, religion, literature and art and
food and language. The political connections are history, politics and economy and trade.
CULTRUAL
Australia is one of the most multicultural countries on Earth, meaning people from many different
countries reside there. This can also make it difficult to find what a broad term for Australian
culture is, due to its many influences. But the aboriginal part to Australia s history does have a
specific culture we can identify. On the other hand South Asia s culture can be clearly defined.
South Asia has influenced Australia, and vice versa. They also share similarities and differences
throughout each other s customs, religions, art and food and language.
CUSTOMS
Within South Asia, most of them share similar social behaviours to one another. One of these
customs include wearing modest clothing and covering their heads with scarves. Clothes are
typically draped and colourful. Most people in the younger generation, now dress in more western
clothes (such as jeans and t shirts), but for special

Boston Tea Party Dbq
The Boston Tea Party occurred on December 16, 1773, and is marked as one of the greatest
catalysts of the American Revolution. Colonists were enraged by British taxation without proper
representation after the French and Indian war. The war had cost the crown dearly and in response,
parliament passed the Stamp Act in 1765 and the Townsend Revenue Acts in 1767 as an effort to
replenish their depleted treasury. Parliament retraced the Stamp Act and the taxes put in place by
the Townsend Acts, except for a duty on tea; a demonstration of Parliament s ability and right to tax

The pigs, whom had hastily recognized themselves as the intelligent leaders of their comrades,
formulated the fundamentals of success on Animal Farm with a philosophy called Animalism.
Animalism, unbeknownst to them, was based upon the principles of Socialism, where each and
every animal or comrade was treated equally and fairly in a classless and casteless society.
Furthermore, with these moral standards put in place, the pigs drafted the Seven
Commandments so that the comrades shall never forget and stray from their newfound
benevolence and philanthropy and wrote them on the barn wall for all to see. The
Commandments included: 1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. 2. Whatever goes upon
four legs, or has wings, is a friend. 3. No animal shall wear clothes. 4. No animal shall sleep in a

OPTICAL FIBER CABLES:
DESIGN:
The basic optical fiber cable consists of a core and a cladding and the refractive indices of the
two differ. A substance called Polyimide is coated on the cladding of the fiber which doesn t let
the fiber get damaged. Fibers which are bundled together are given a tough resin buffer layer and
core tubes extruded around them to the cable core. Many covering layers are also added to the
fiber depending upon the application of the fiber. Sometimes, light prohibiting dark glasses are
also used between fibers so that light from one fiber doesn t leak and enter another fiber and cause
distortion. This also helps in reducing cross talk.
For fibers which are meant to be used indoors, the fiber is usually jacketed and enclosed in a
flexible strength member in a lightweight plastic tube to form a simple cable.
If the cable is meant to be used in an environment in which the fiber can be subjected to stress and
strain, the cable construction must be strong and healthy. When the loose tube construction is used,
semi rigid tubes are used, and they are laid helically into them. This is done so that the fiber gets
space to stretch without causing tension in the cable itself. This way

The Pros And Cons Of Christopher Nolan

Communication in the Workplace
Communication in the Workplace Regardless of the environment in which one works,
communication is always vital and a key factor of success. Communication happens both physically

Communication has two main components, sending out a message to someone, and ensuring the
message is received correctly to the other member of the conversation. It is therefore fair to say

This, in turn, results in ineffective listening which decreases the overall communication. Effective
listening is an essential skill for an IT consultant. The reason for this is that I will be working
closely with a mixed range of clients and customers who have their own demands. Alongside them I
will also be given an authoritative figure within the support department. I will need to have an
extremely good understanding of what the clients want. I will have to fully listen to all of the client

manner. Although communication is usually thought of as being only oral, emotional intelligence
can be used as well. Emotional intelligence can be described as a skill in perceiving, understanding,

Nafta And The American Free Trade Agreement
On January 1st, 1994, Canada, the United States of America, and Mexico had signed a free trade
agreement, under the name the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). This Free Trade
Agreement was created to achieve its goal of eliminating barriers to trade and investment between
Canada, Mexico and the United Statesof America. However, the question that politicians and
economists of our nation are facing is whether Canada should remain in NAFTA with its partners,
United States and Mexico. Despite a multitude of benefits that NAFTA is said to have by our
political elites, 20 years later, it is evident the agreement has been counterproductive; which is
evident by the slow move by Canadian manufacturers to Mexico, significant losses in... Show more

By 1997, three years after the ratification of NAFTA, 47% of Canadian manufacturing plants that
existed in 1988, which accounted for 28% of the jobs in the economy, had closed. To add on,
350,000 manufacturing jobs from 2002 2008, were lost due to industrial plants moving to Mexico.
This drastic drop in factory/plant numbers can be attributed to the fact that companies put their
bottom line first moving facilities to Mexico because Mexican minimum wage is only $5.10
compared to a minimum wage of $11.00 in Ontario. As a further incentive to relocate south,
because of NAFTA, corporations don t have to pay tariffs on products shipped back to domestic
markets. Therefore, it is evident that NAFTA has resulted in many industrial firms/plants moving to
Mexico for cheaper labour, and the impact of such actions has cost thousands of Canadians their
jobs.
By joining this free trade agreement, Canada has been able to increase its trade with the US and
Mexico. Two decades after the implementation of NAFTA, total merchandise trade between
Canada and the US more than doubled at an annualized growth rate of 4.4%. During the same
period, Canada s merchandise exports to Mexico also increased almost seven fold, and its trade
with Mexico equaled $31 billion alone in the year 2012. Furthermore, a study completed by the
Fraser Institute pointed out

he could help him survive out in the wild and not become buzzard food. Those 3 reasons are why

Rape And Sexual Assault In Game Of Thrones
The use of rape and sexual assault as a dramatic plot device in contemporary film and television
can turn out to be either highly successful or highly problematic for those involved and their
viewers.
In many television shows of the 2010 s, most notably American Horror Story, these unspeakable
acts seem to employed as a form of light entertainment. A plot device, if you will. With seemingly
no direct link to the story being told or effect on what follows after. Similarly, Game of Thrones
has suffered mass criticism since it s premier back in 2011. However, the writers of GOT still
vehemently defend their choice of representation of rape and sexual assault crimes, stating that it
is, and was, a part of everyday life back in medieval times.
Comparing these small screen representations to those on the silver screen, it could be surmised
that rape and sexual assault in film is a more thought out process. Television writers are expected
to turn out numerous storylines throughout series and never seem to dwell on the one plotline for
too long. This very well may be why its representations of rape and sexual assault are so heavily
criticised, as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Boundaries within the garden are created through the trees and hedged on the outer perimeter.
Inside the park, the limestone curbs/walls define the spaces that the plants occupy. They also serve
as barriers in order to prevent visitors from going directly into the garden.
Spaces like the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and the Great Lawn individually create space through
division of territory. The Great Lawn is defined by a large area of cut grass. The enormous space
welcomes onlookers from every direction of the park. It s flat and soft surface allows visitors to

other great works. To specify, he claims that no video gamer now living will survive long enough

of art is the creation of one artist, (Ebert) meaning that a dance is an art because of the

Boghossian refers to this claim that Goodman and Rorty are gesturing at as the Description
Dependence of Facts. Boghossian explains that Description Dependence of Facts is a thesis
which states that all facts are description dependent: there cannot be a fact of the matter as to
how things are with the world independently of our propensity to describe the world as being a
certain way. Once we adopt a particular scheme for describing the world, there then come to be
facts about the world. This thesis is a variation of the view that all facts are mind independent as
only minds can describe the world; Boghossian partly agrees with this view as he does
acknowledge that some facts are indeed mind dependent and he gives examples such as that there
could be no fact such as money if we humans didn t construct that fact; however he believes that
logic cant apply to all facts such as dinosaurs or electrons which don t rely on humans for their
existence. Boghossian has trouble identifying a solid argument for absolute fact constructivism and
this is worsened by the fact that he believes that there is a thesis which is similar to absolute fact
constructivism to an extent but then again the very same thesis supports fact objectivism which
goes against absolute fact constructivism and the result is it weakens the argument for absolute fact
constructivism and makes it seem implausible than it actually is Boghossian calls this thesis Social

DarwinВґs Theory of Natural Selection and Primates
Darwin s ideas about organic evolution were drawn from the existing forces of knowledge on
evolution developed by Lyell, Malthus, and Lamarck. Although Darwin was not the first thinker
about the concept of evolution, he was a revolutionary in developing a theory of evolution that was
consistent. The distinctive element of the evolutionary theory conceived by Darwin is the way he
viewed species. Darwin considered variation among individuals of a species to be natural. He
further argued that variation, far from being problematic, actually provides the explanation for the
existence of distinct species. Darwin adopted elements from Malthus s theory on population growth
and stated that only those members of a population that are capable... Show more content on

GROUP 2
B) After gaining a clear understanding of natural selection and its prominence in the theory of
evolution, the possibility of linking human origin with its ancestors (Primates) has become clearer.
Human evolution is characterized by a number of morphological, developmental, physiological, and
behavioral changes but most interestingly the basis for such changes is in understanding the origins
of humans. The Primate order indeed serves as the starting point for human evolution. The Primates
are an ancient and diverse Eutherian group. Although Primates are considered as tropical animals
that live in forest setting, yet they inhabit many kinds of landscapes and live in widely diverse
climates. Primates are divided into two groups, the Strepsirhini and the Haplorhini. Strepsirhines
have long muzzle, wet noses, lower incisors forming a toothcomb, nocturnal, and have an immobile
upper lip. Haplorhines are further divided into two major groups, the Platyrrhini and the Catarrhini.
Platyrrhines include the new world monkeys found mainly in the South and Central America.
Catarrhines include the old world monkeys and Hominoidea. Homioidea are further divided into

Edgar Allan Poe Revlutionized Literature in the 19th Century
Edgar Allan Poe revolutionized the literary world of the nineteenth century. Poe is a well known
author from the early 1800 s, who was part of the dark romanticism movement. While later in life
he was a brilliant writer, Edgar Allan Poe faced many problems in his early life. Although Poe
experienced death within his family at a young age, the hardships he encountered are thought to
have influenced his dark writing style. These death inspired elements within Poe s writing were
ahead of their time. However, Edgar Allan Poes excellent use of descriptive imagery and suspense
is what makes his writing unique. These stylistic devices are evident in Poe s famous short stories,
including The Tell Tale Heart and The Cask of Amontillado .
Edgar Allan Poe uses imagery to develop a strong mood for readers in his short stories, this is
part of what make his writing unique. For instance, in Poe s piece The Cask of Amontillado ,
imagery is used to develop his signature dark mood for readers to experience. Poe uses
descriptive details of the setting to enhance the mood. This is especially shown when the narrator
states Its walls had been lined with human remains piled to the vault overhead, in the fashion of the
great catacombs of Paris... From the fourth the bones had been thrown down, and lay
promiscuously upon the earth, forming at one point a mound of some size (Poe 5). The narrator s

Fitness Plan For A Leisure Wellness Plan
Introduction As counselors we are required to take care of one s mental health and wellness. We
have holistic, nurturing and client centered training. In doing so many counselors help their clients
out by making a Leisure wellness plan. This plan is something that a client or individual can follow
to keep themselves healthy and active. A Leisureplan is something that makes you help yourself
feel better emotionally, mentally and physically. As stated by Elizabeth Venart a private
practitioner (2011), The Importance of self care is overtly discussed and modeled by faculty, and
the curriculum of each course includes an emphasis on self assessment and reflection as well as
the development and implementation of concrete wellness plans and practices (p.47). Leisure is
seen as relaxing but at the same time working to take care of yourself to create the best version of

Why do we need Wellness and Leisure?
Keeping well is required for counselors and health care workers. Being in such a stressful field
means that one must maintain a healthy and well lifestyle. Assessing one s self care not only
helps the counselor grow as an individual it helps them see difficulties in others. One s thinking

one of the Founding Fathers ( of President John Adams ) . John Adams was one of the many
important people in American history and helped us fight for our independence. After returning

Written in 1787, the MA constitution was the oldest constitution that has been useful
continuously since it was approved ( The Massachusetts Constitution ) . John Adams helped
defend the British Redcoats and Captain Preston in the Boston Massacre trials ( John Adams
and The Boston Massacre | Boston Tea Party Museum ) . Three weeks after the Boston
Massacre, a large jury accused Captain Preston and his soldiers as well as four other citizens for
firing from a window of customs house into a large crowd ( The Boston Massacre Trials ) .
Preston and his soldiers couldn t find a legal recommendation ( The Boston Massacre Trials ) .
They went to seven different lawyers and failed to find someone ( The Boston Massacre Trials )
. John Adams was a brave man who agreed to defend them ( The Boston Massacre Trials ) .
Doing this could have affected his future pay, angry people could possibly want to hurt his
family, and also could have affected his reputation. But John believed men deserved a fair trial
and equal justice ( The Boston Massacre Trials ) . John Adams was sent to France to negotiate
peace, and create the Treaty of Paris ( Treaty of Paris 1783 )

The Creation Of The Solar System And The Solar System
To many, it is basic knowledge that the Earth revolves around the sun, which means that the solar
system is heliocentric. However, the solar system was previously believed to be geocentric, with
Earth being considered the center of the universe and the solar system. Aristotle, a dominant force
in the early days of science and philosophy, was one of the first to propose the idea that the Earth
was positioned at the center of the universe. Ptolemy, an Egyptian mathematician, and astronomer,
agreed, and expanded on this geocentric model. Although the Aristolean Ptolemaic model had the
support of the Christian and Catholic churches, Nicholas Copernicus, however reluctantly, put
forward the idea that the solar system and the universe, were heliocentric. Though completely
opposed by Christian and Catholic churches, the heliocentric model prevailed with the additional
discoveries made on Italian philosopher and scientist Galileo Galilee and German astronomer
Johannes Kepler.
Aristotle (384 322 B.C.) was one of the most famous and influential Greek philosophers of his
time. He was born in Macedonia in 384 BC and was responsible for setting up a school in Athens
called the Lyceum, which was one of the most famous learning centers at the time. Prior to that
however, he was a former student of Plato and a former instructor of Alexander the Great. It was
easy to say that he was a man fascinated by many things, including zoology, astronomy, history,
politics. Regarding astronomy,

Women Are Looking For A Man Of God
Think about this. When the battery in our car, goes it is drained, you call somebody at AAA to
come charge the battery, right? So why is it that we, as men of God, are not watchful enough to
see that our spiritual battery is low? Why don t we regularly recharge it? Maybe check yourself
into a hotel or something overnight and just lie on your face before God, listening.
Some of you may be in crucial situations right now. How much time have you spent before the
Lord, praying, reading and studying his Word to get yourself back on track? I ve learned that
women are looking for a man of God. They re looking for a man who can take her to another place
in life. That s what they are looking for. You know these women are very independent today....

How do you expect her to operate with you? We have to say, I m not asking for you to be like me,
I m just asking you to work with me. And so, again, if you don t give her anything to do, trust me,
she will find something.
And so that s why you always have to remain plugged in. You have to watch, and stand fast in the
faith. Don t you dare allow fear to consume your faith. You have to be willing to trust God, even
when you are at the point where you have more bills than you got money and you re trying to
figure out what you re going to do. The devil is always present when you are pressured . . . You
cannot allow the enemy to push you to do anything that is offensive to God that you know will take
you out of position with God.
The enemy wants to get you to a place where you will start working so many hours that you re
too tired to pray and can t spend time reading the word or studying scripture. Do you understand
me? When you have no time for yourself, you become an agitated individual. We already have an
angry streak in us. When you are tired, you will become even more flustered. And nobody wants
to be around you because of how you are carrying yourself. That s why you have to stand fast in
the faith. You ve got to believe God in the midst of everything.
Here s the thing: You cannot take this out of the loop. Because times are tough, you say, Ah, man,
I need some money. I ve got to work Sundays for the next 6 months. Rather than seeking God, we
decide to

Moving In A New Country Analysis
Almost a decade has passed and yet, the daunting feeling of stepping off the plane, into the
unknown remained. Thoughts rushed through my naГЇve mind, as the brisk breeze brushed my
face.Where am I?Why am I here? Racing through the airport, I was overwhelmed as people
paced past me, my mind filled with curiosity and my heart beating louder than a drum. Everything
was new, the silence, the purity, the beauty. This new country seemed unrealistic to me, it felt like
I was in a dream as I was introduced tonew things. Aspects I couldn t understand as a little girl
were all thrown at me in an instant, skin colours that I didn t think existed, a new culture, and a
new language which sounded like drivel. I slowly began to realize that this wasn t a dream,... Show

Hopelessly lost at first, my journey began to feel like an exciting new adventure. Settling in a
new country has many negative effectsas one adapts to the new culture, people and starting a
life from step one.Drastic cultural differences became an obstacle for my parents as it was
difficult to adapt to this society with new morals, roots, and lifestyle. Immigrants must make the
decision if they want to blend in and follow the foreign culture or continue to stick to their own
culture. Making a decision was not an option in my family, it was clear that it s our duty to carry
on our culture and traditions regardless of where we end up around the world. However, it s
important to find a balance between staying true to one s roots and being able toevolve with the
new environment and assimilate to the society, otherwise, one may become isolated.I remember
observing my mom, quietly sufferingin loneliness as she left everyone she knew, her family and
friends, to a country where she had no one. However, with time, she found ways to stay in touch
with her friends and family and made new friends in Canada as well. One of the most significant
outcomes that moving countries has on immigrants, including myself, is language barriers as it
has remained to be a prevalent challenge for many immigrants, particularly during the initial
stages of settlement. A study conducted by the Canadian government showed that 32% of job
seekers experienced language barriers as an issue (Statistics Canada, 2005). I remember going to
school for the first time in Canada and being extremely terrified to interact with other people who
spoke a language I hardly knew. I had forgotten my lunch and wasn t able to communicate this to
anyone so I busted into tears as I struggled to convey such a simple message. Moving countries can
be a risky decision to make as you have to leave everything behind, in hopesthat you

  • 2. Descriptive Essay About My Birthday Day January 13, 2012 is the day when tears ran down my cheeks and feeling the wind rush against my drenched skin, hoping it would drown the sorrows along with the cruise. That day, I felt the pain stab through my heart as I stood on the island and wished they would come back to me. Looking all around and seeing joy, regret, and distraught looks on everyone. The coast guards grabbing me and directing all of us away. Glancing over my shoulder to look at the wreckage one last time, only to close them quickly after seeing the golden bracelet floating in the water again. At 9:39 pm. I walked into my friend s cabin and glanced around surprised. The room was covered with blue and purple balloons, and streamers. Directly on the wall was a banner ... As we arrived to one of the last lifeboats, we hear loud sobbing behind us. I turn around and see a mother attempting to comfort her young sobbing daughter by rubbing and hugging her. My best friend and I looked at each other and nodded to each other, instantly understanding each as fast as lightning strikes. We both step aside and let them take the last two seats on the lifeboat. We stand there watching the lifeboat get lowered into the sea, the water splashing into my mouth getting it all salty. We quickly run around looking for any lifeboats. • 4. An Aggressive Action As Intentional Behavior The chapter defines an aggressive action as intentional behavior aimed at causing either physical or psychological pain. More recently, anger violence, and aggression has become part of our day to day lives. But what are the causes to this increase of human aggression? Why are humans becoming more numb to others pain and insensitive to their feelings? It s chilling to see how the world around us can affect our state of mind. Many scholars have debated on whether aggression is due to biology or our environment. Tomas Hobbes for example, stated in 1651 that in our natural state, we are brutes and are prone to enforcing the law. He believed humans have a natural instinct towards aggression. Jean Jacques Rousseau s disagreed with that viewpoint; she thought that humans were born gentle creatures and that our society forces aggressive tendencies on us. Although Hobbes and Rousseau seemed to be extremists in their opinions, I thought both takes on aggression were true. Aggression is due to both biology and the environment. Studies have proven that aggression is that something that has to be learned. Humans have developed and adapted so much over time it seems that certain necessities for survival have been ingrained in us from our ancestors. We have a natural instinct to protect our territory and threats from the environment can cause us to act both physically and mentally aggressive. Analysis Of Avital Cohen And Tsal Essay The article by Avital Cohen and Tsal (2016) discussed the flanker task experiment, which asserted that distractor interference happens unconsciously as a result of focused attention toward the target. The results from the original flanker task indicated that participants had slower responses for incongruent trials, since the distractors are inconsistent with the target and would require a different response (Avital Cohen Tsal, 2016). However, Avital Cohen and Tsal (2016) questioned the findings from the flanker task experiment. They decided to challenge the idea that only the target stimuli receives top down processing, and not the distractors (Avital Cohen Tsal, 2016). The first experiment aimed to test whether the distractor interference is purely bottom up processing as claimed in the flanker task. The experiment manipulated participants expectations of the target using the context effect a type of top down processing by changing the distractors to be either letters or digits (Psych 240 lecture, 9/21/16). Then, the researchers conducted a second experiment and eliminated the ambiguity of distractors. They wanted to test whether the result from experiment 1 was caused by an overall bias or the ambiguous distractors. In experiment 2, the researchers predicted that they would obtain similar results to the first experiment only if the results were due to an overall bias effect (Avital Cohen Tsal, 2016). Planaria Fermentation Results After performing the experiment, the results showed that planaria were typically more successful in regenerating when they were cut transversely at the tail than when they were decapitated at both the one week mark and the two week mark. The only exception was at the one week mark, when a higher ratio of the top parts of the planaria fully regenerated than did the bottom parts. Even further, the data seemed to show that the bottom part of the planaria was much more successful at regenerating than the top part was. For example, after one week, 92.5% of the bottom part of a planaria that was transversely cut through the tail partially regenerated, where only 55% of the top part of the planaria that was decapitated partially regenerated. Also, we did have a fairly large sample size (40), but even so, random chance might have altered the data. It s important to recognize that there are factors that may have caused the results to become less accurate, but because there were multiple repetitions and many samples, the effects of random chance were likely minimized. Nafta And The American Free Trade Agreement On January 1st, 1994, Canada, the United States of America, and Mexico had signed a free trade agreement, under the name the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). This Free Trade Agreement was created to achieve its goal of eliminating barriers to trade and investment between Canada, Mexico and the United Statesof America. However, the question that politicians and economists of our nation are facing is whether Canada should remain in NAFTA with its partners, United States and Mexico. Despite a multitude of benefits that NAFTA is said to have by our political elites, 20 years later, it is evident the agreement has been counterproductive; which is evident by the slow move by Canadian manufacturers to Mexico, significant losses in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By 1997, three years after the ratification of NAFTA, 47% of Canadian manufacturing plants that existed in 1988, which accounted for 28% of the jobs in the economy, had closed. To add on, 350,000 manufacturing jobs from 2002 2008, were lost due to industrial plants moving to Mexico. This drastic drop in factory/plant numbers can be attributed to the fact that companies put their bottom line first moving facilities to Mexico because Mexican minimum wage is only $5.10 compared to a minimum wage of $11.00 in Ontario. As a further incentive to relocate south, because of NAFTA, corporations don t have to pay tariffs on products shipped back to domestic markets. Therefore, it is evident that NAFTA has resulted in many industrial firms/plants moving to Mexico for cheaper labour, and the impact of such actions has cost thousands of Canadians their jobs. By joining this free trade agreement, Canada has been able to increase its trade with the US and Mexico. Two decades after the implementation of NAFTA, total merchandise trade between Canada and the US more than doubled at an annualized growth rate of 4.4%. During the same period, Canada s merchandise exports to Mexico also increased almost seven fold, and its trade with Mexico equaled $31 billion alone in the year 2012. Boghossian explains that Description Dependence of Facts is a thesis which states that all facts are description dependent: there cannot be a fact of the matter as to how things are with the world independently of our propensity to describe the world as being a certain way. Once we adopt a particular scheme for describing the world, there then come to be facts about the world. This thesis is a variation of the view that all facts are mind independent as only minds can describe the world; Boghossian partly agrees with this view as he does acknowledge that some facts are indeed mind dependent and he gives examples such as that there could be no fact such as money if we humans didn t construct that fact; however he believes that logic cant apply to all facts such as dinosaurs or electrons which don t rely on humans for their existence. Boghossian has trouble identifying a solid argument for absolute fact constructivism and this is worsened by the fact that he believes that there is a thesis which is similar to absolute fact constructivism to an extent but then again the very same thesis supports fact objectivism which goes against absolute fact constructivism and the result is it weakens the argument for absolute fact constructivism and makes it seem implausible than it actually is Boghossian calls this thesis Social Relativity of Descriptions. ... Aristotle, a dominant force in the early days of science and philosophy, was one of the first to propose the idea that the Earth was positioned at the center of the universe. The enemy wants to get you to a place where you will start working so many hours that you re too tired to pray and can t spend time reading the word or studying scripture. Do you understand me? When you have no time for yourself, you become an agitated individual. We already have an angry streak in us. When you are tired, you will become even more flustered. • 44. Moving In A New Country Analysis Almost a decade has passed and yet, the daunting feeling of stepping off the plane, into the unknown remained. Thoughts rushed through my naГЇve mind, as the brisk breeze brushed my face.Where am I?Why am I here? Racing through the airport, I was overwhelmed as people paced past me, my mind filled with curiosity and my heart beating louder than a drum. Everything was new, the silence, the purity, the beauty. This new country seemed unrealistic to me, it felt like I was in a dream as I was introduced tonew things. A study conducted by the Canadian government showed that 32% of job seekers experienced language barriers as an issue (Statistics Canada, 2005). I remember going to school for the first time in Canada and being extremely terrified to interact with other people who spoke a language I hardly knew. I had forgotten my lunch and wasn t able to communicate this to anyone so I busted into tears as I struggled to convey such a simple message. Moving countries can be a risky decision to make as you have to leave everything behind, in hopesthat you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
