Ammonia is widely used as a refrigerant in industrial systems for food refrigeration, distribution warehousing and process cooling. It has more recently been proposed for use in applications such as water chilling for air-conditioning systems but has not yet received widespread acceptance for this application. This project was envisaged to develop an ammonia vapour compression refrigeration system of 3 TR capacity for residential air conditioning and to analyze the minimum possible charge in order to reduce leakage hazards associated with the system. This would increase the use of ammonia in a more efficient way. It has Zero ODP and GWP which makes it to be environment friendly. Even though Ammonia is a cost effective and energy efficient alternative to conventional refrigerants like HCFCs and HFCs, etc., it is toxic. So, toxicity of ammonia needs to be addressed. This calls for low inventory of refrigerant in individual system. The present work aims at reducing the specific charge of ammonia for residential air conditioning system with air cooled condenser.

Water bath sonicator integrated with PID-based temperature controller for fla...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
In this research, water bath sonicator was fabricated to extract bioactive compound of plants material using sound energy (ultrasonic waves) and heater. The bioactive compound, flavonoid, has high sensitivity to temperature and extraction time and previous research stated best treatment with combination of 45˚C and 20 minutes. Therefore, fabricated water bath sonicator was equipped with proportional integral derivative (PID) based temperature controller and timer. Based on a calculation using the Ziegler-Nichols tuning method, Kp, Ki, Kd parameters are 16.59, 0.0279, and 2463.6, respectively. The experimental result shows that the PID controller can perform as design specification with overshoot 1.39%, error steady-state 0.688% and settling time 37.2 minutes. Furthermore, it was proven that the PID controller has contribution to extract more flavonoid.
Experimental Determination of Compressibility Factors of Gasesiosrjce
The compressibility factor Z also known as the compression factor is the ratio of the molar volume of a
gas to the molar volume of an ideal gas at the same temperature and pressure. It is a useful thermodynamic
property accounting for real gas behavior. In general, deviation from ideal behavior becomes more significant
at lower temperatures and higher pressures. For gas mixtures, a gas composition must be specified while
calculating the compressibility factor.

The application of Self-adaptive Fuzzy PID control the evaporator superheatIJRES Journal
In view of the characteristics of the cold storage refrigeration system, such as nonlinear, time-varying and coupling, the traditional PID control accuracy is low, this study adopted the method of adaptive Fuzzy PID to control the superheat of the evaporator outlet. Fuzzy PID controller can adjust the parameters according to the deviation and deviation rat. It can avoid the disadvantages of traditional PID controller that it cannot adjust control parameters according to operating conditions.

Cascade control of superheated steam temperature with neuro PID controllerISA Interchange
In this paper, an improved cascade control methodology for superheated processes is developed, in which the primary PID controller is implemented by neural networks trained by minimizing error entropy criterion. The entropy of the tracking error can be estimated recursively by utilizing receding horizon window technique. The measurable disturbances in superheated processes are input to the neuro-PID controller besides the sequences of tracking error in outer loop control system, hence, feedback control is combined with feedforward control in the proposed neuro-PID controller. The convergent condition of the neural networks is analyzed. The implementation procedures of the proposed cascade control approach are summarized. Compared with the neuro-PID controller using minimizing squared error criterion, the proposed neuro-PID controller using minimizing error entropy criterion may decrease fluctuations of the superheated steam temperature. A simulation example shows the advantages of the proposed method.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Online aptitude test management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
The purpose of on-line aptitude test system is to take online test in an efficient manner and no time wasting for checking the paper. The main objective of on-line aptitude test system is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated system that not only saves lot of time but also gives fast results. For students they give papers according to their convenience and time and there is no need of using extra thing like paper, pen etc. This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate world. Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application (user Location doesn’t matter). No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.
Every time when lecturers/professors need to conduct examinations they have to sit down think about the questions and then create a whole new set of questions for each and every exam. In some cases the professor may want to give an open book online exam that is the student can take the exam any time anywhere, but the student might have to answer the questions in a limited time period. The professor may want to change the sequence of questions for every student. The problem that a student has is whenever a date for the exam is declared the student has to take it and there is no way he can take it at some other time. This project will create an interface for the examiner to create and store questions in a repository. It will also create an interface for the student to take examinations at his convenience and the questions and/or exams may be timed. Thereby creating an application which can be used by examiners and examinee’s simultaneously.
Examination System is very useful for Teachers/Professors. As in the teaching profession, you are responsible for writing question papers. In the conventional method, you write the question paper on paper, keep question papers separate from answers and all this information you have to keep in a locker to avoid unauthorized access. Using the Examination System you can create a question paper and everything will be written to a single exam file in encrypted format. You can set the General and Administrator password to avoid unauthorized access to your question paper. Every time you start the examination, the program shuffles all the questions and selects them randomly from the database, which reduces the chances of memorizing the questions.

4. The problem and aim
• The problem - Conventional cooling systems are reliable but
largely unprofitable in terms of energy consumption! This is
due to the need for constant switching on and off of the freon
compressor, and when it is switched on, it always operates at
maximum power!
• The aim – An improved system to be modelled for effective
regulation of the load on the freon compressor and flexible
energy consumption to be achieved
5. Schematic diagram and functioning
The cooling water system in the production of
plastic pipes functioning includes:
• A sensor connected to a controller monitors
the temperature of the water
• The controller sets the temperature to be
maintained in the cold part of the tank
(The control system works with hysteresis ± 3 ͦC)
• If the controller is set to 15 ͦC,
• Then, the freon compressor turns on at full
power and the water begins to cool
• When the water temperature in the cold part
of the tank reaches 12 ˚C
• The compressor stops working
• The water begins to warm and when it
reaches 18 ˚C, the compressor switches on
again at full power
• This cycle is repeated
The graphics is from the technical documentation of PipeLife
6. The proposed solution
• The temperature monitoring and control system must be improved through applying
the principle of fuzzy logic that will lead to more flexible regulation of the load on
the freon compressor and thus an effective energy consumption will be achieved
• The fuzzy-based control system modelling follows the developed algorithm:

15. Conclusions
• A model of a cooling water control system for the production
of plastic pipes is developed based on the theories of Fuzzy
sets and Fuzzy logic and it points out that:
– the effective regulation of the freon compressor load could be
achieved and
– the flexible energy consumption of the compressor that leads to
power energy economy could be specified
• Fuzzy theories are a very suitable base for modeling flexible,
adaptable and complex systems
