This document summarizes control strategies for wheat stripe rust in Turkey. The main control strategies are monitoring and surveillance of pathogenic variation through trap nurseries and race analyses, breeding activities conducted by agricultural research institutes, and fungicide application. International collaborations also help with monitoring, breeding efforts, and coordinating the exchange of materials between institutes. Challenges include the wheat variety registration system prioritizing yield over disease resistance and ensuring fungicide applications reach small-scale farmers.
