We use  THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE  to talk about : action happening now action in the future
THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE  for   action happening now. EXAMPLES   : I  am eating   my lunch.   The pages  are turning .  The candle   is burning. The students  are studying.
THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE  for  the future. "Future words"  include, for example,  tomorrow ,  next year ,  in June ,  at Christmas  etc.   EXAMPLES : I  am taking  my MUET next month. We use the past continuous tense  to express a long action . And we use the simple past tense to express a  short  action that happens  in the middle  of the long action. We can  join the two ideas   with  when  or  while .
