Constantin Brancusi was a Romanian sculptor who lived from 1876 to 1957. He studied art in Romania and later moved to Paris in 1904 to further his studies. In Paris, he was influenced by Rodin but developed his own abstract style using simplified and stylized forms. Some of his most famous works include The Kiss, Bird in Space, and The Endless Column. Brancusi's works are now housed in major museums around the world and his former studio in Paris is open to the public. He is considered one of the pioneers of abstract sculpture.
