Edvard Munch was born in Norway
to a not very wealthy family.

and make his family happy. He was so unhappy
he dropped out of school to become an artist.

mother and his favorite sister to illness.

He lived alone with just his dogs.
When he died he left all of his art to the city of
Oslo. The city built a museum so that people all
over the world could see his amazing art.
