This document discusses different types of condensation and heat transfer during condensation. It describes two types of condensation - dropwise condensation and film condensation. Film condensation can occur as either laminar or turbulent flow on a vertical surface. Equations are provided for calculating the heat transfer coefficient during laminar and turbulent film condensation on a vertical plate based on factors like fluid properties, film thickness, and surface area. The heat transfer rate decreases with increasing plate height as the film thickness and thermal resistance increase along the height.
