Network topology is the arrangement of the elements of a communication network. Network topology can be used to define or describe the arrangement of various types of telecommunication networks, including command and control radio networks, industrial fieldbuses and computer networks. Network topology is the topological structure of a network and may be depicted physically or logically is an application of graph theory, wherein communicating devices are modeled as nodes and the connections between the devices are modeled as links or lines between the nodes .Examples of network topologies are found in local area networks (LAN), a common computer network installation. A wide variety of physical topologies have been used in LANs, including ring, bus, mesh , star and point to point

• Less costly than a star topology .
• Failure of single node in network can cause the whole network fail .

• Error detection and error correction is very easy in tree topology .
• If the main root or central hub gets fail entire network system is fail .

are directly connected to each other with cables.

Point to point is simple topology that
directly links two nodes and reserve the
entire bandwith of the connection
.Physically point-to-point connections rely
on a cable or wire that connects the two
end point .
