This document discusses the implementation of a three-phase shunt active harmonic filter (SAHF) for compensating harmonics generated by fully controlled non-linear loads using a thyristorized pulse generator and an IGBT inverter. The proposed methodology employs a phase locked loop (PLL) and hysteresis switching to enhance the system's performance, achieving a significant reduction in total harmonic distortion from 20.94% to 0.40%. The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed system in ensuring unity power factor operation for non-linear loads.
