The Comfort Zone Model
• The comfort zone is a psychological state
in which a person feels familiar, at ease, in
control, and experiences low anxiety. A
person in this state uses a limited set of
behaviors to deliver a steady level of
performance, usually without a sense of
risk.
Comfort zone
Stressing zone
Panic zone
Comfort Zone
• The comfort zone is the cosy area where
you feel confident. You know everything
and your behaviour and actions are
routines.
Stressing Zone
• The Stressing zone describes the area,
where your actions have insecure
outcome. You are maybe a little scared
trying out things for the first time. This is
the area wher you learn new things or get
to kno new people.
Panic Zone
• Here in the panic zone is the biggest
insecurity. You experience something
totally new and don‘t know how to feel, act
or behave in the given situation. Your
instince tell you to escape.
• By stepping out of your comfort zone you
will learn and increase your intercultural
competencies. You will feel more
comfortable facing new situations by
learning more about yourself and other
cultures.

Comfort zone model

  • 2. • The comfort zone is a psychological state in which a person feels familiar, at ease, in control, and experiences low anxiety. A person in this state uses a limited set of behaviors to deliver a steady level of performance, usually without a sense of risk.
  • 4. Comfort Zone • The comfort zone is the cosy area where you feel confident. You know everything and your behaviour and actions are routines.
  • 5. Stressing Zone • The Stressing zone describes the area, where your actions have insecure outcome. You are maybe a little scared trying out things for the first time. This is the area wher you learn new things or get to kno new people.
  • 6. Panic Zone • Here in the panic zone is the biggest insecurity. You experience something totally new and don‘t know how to feel, act or behave in the given situation. Your instince tell you to escape.
  • 7. • By stepping out of your comfort zone you will learn and increase your intercultural competencies. You will feel more comfortable facing new situations by learning more about yourself and other cultures.
