Colour scheme
- 2. T H E N U D E I looked at a nude colour scheme as it is am appeasing scheme which is calming on the eye. The brown undertones with the nude colour scheme add to the genre of the magazine which is a rock magazine. This is because grunge is a sub-genre of music which is normally referred to with brown tones. However, rock as a singular genre is a generally brighter genre of music compared to grunge. This would challenge general media conventions as Nude s not a colour scheme usually related to this genre of magazine.
- 3. T H E G R E E N My second idea for my colour scheme was green. This is because green is a bold and eye catching colour to use. Also, if I wanted to add nudes with the green colour scheme it would also work and usually flattering next to a model especially if they have olive/yellow undertones to the skin. However, because green is such a bright colour, it would be difficult to use by itself.
- 4. T H E N E O N Neon was my third colour scheme. However, this would be in relation to a specific edition of the magazine. Neon's are both bright and vibrant yet dark enough to conform to the characteristics of the rock genre. Neon blues and reds are what people are looking for and most of the time people buy items because they look nice rather than the content. This doesn’t go against media conventions used with most rock magazines as the colours are still bold.
