Health Spending Account
Any time that an avenue can be explored which benefits both sides of the aisle, it should be
covered completely, discussed, and questioned. One of those things is a Health Spending
Account. This fringe benefit offering can help everyone! Here are some quick facts to spark
your interest: FUNDS ARE DEPOSITED PRE TAX. While this is generally considered a win
for the employee, it is also a win for the employer, who pays payroll taxes as well. This could be
as much as a ten percent savings. OFTEN COMBINED WITH HIGH DEDUCTIBLE HEALTH
PLANS. Although nobody likes a high deductible, it can be offset with a HSA. The higher
deductible allows a savings for employer and employee on the insurance since the higher up front
costs mean lower monthly premiums,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The HAS is independent of the insurance plan, so it goes with the employee. If next year finds a
better plan with a savings for the parties involved, then pack up and move to that money saver,
and be sure to pack that HSA. If the whole purpose of using the HDHP is savings, then this is
another incentive to keep looking for better plans. INTEREST CREATED THROUGH THE
INVESTMENTS OF THE FUND ARE TAX FREE, ALSO. While your money sits, waiting to be
used, it is invested, and any interest is untaxed. This is another incentive for the employees to
deposit monies into the funds. HEALTH SPENDING ACCOUNTS ARE A GREAT PART OF A
FRINGE PACKAGE WHICH WILL HELP RETAIN TOP EMPLOYEES. Having a high quality
package of perks will draw in the most qualified applicants and retain those already working. More
people leave jobs based on fringes than on salary. Addressing this with a great benefit package will
help all involved. SPENDING ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO INCREASE EMPLOYEE
INVOLVEMENT IN THEIR HEALTH CARE. Studies show that those who are responsible for
the oversight of their funds are more interested in their care, more willing to obey doctor s orders,
more likely to ask about the costs of the care they receive and alternative

He knew moving to Spain was going to add more pressure to him and this is where his rivalry with
Lionel Messi started. While in Real Madrid, he won one Spanish La Liga, one Copa del Rey, and
one Spanish Super Cup. Even though Ronaldo is tall, he has the speed to match with Messi. Since
Ronaldo is a two footer, he can play in both sides of the wings and as a striker and on occasions,
midfield. Messi is a center forward who also plays as a striker and can also play in the wings but
not as effective as Ronaldo. Ronaldo s style is showboating, which shows a variety of ball skills to
confuse the defender, while Messi uses his quickness to get past defenders easily for a quick goal.
Putting the speed and quickness aside, Ronaldo is more deadly during set pieces. He is known for
his quick and powerful free kicks outside the box that doesn t give goalkeepers a chance. He is also
taller than Messi so he has more threat during corner kicks because he can jump high and hit
powerful headers. There are few similarities between Ronaldo and Messi. First is they play in the
same league, Spanish La Liga. They have acquired the same awards in European football such us
the Ballon d Or (European Player of The Year before merging to FIFA Ballon d Or), European
Golden Shoe, UEFA Club Footballer of the Year, Spanish La Liga s Top Scorer, and is now

Workplace Conflicts And Conflict Management Styles
Workplace Conflicts and Conflict Management Styles
Greg Jefia
MBA 5213

December 12, 2014
Introduction
Conflicts in the workplace and interpersonal relationship are inevitable. Organizational conflict is
common in the workplace because people always have divergent views on various issues, interests,
ideologies, goals, and aspirations (Deutsch, 1990). Conflict exists in all kinds of environments
because people compete for power, jobs, resources, security and recognition. People who seek
power therefore, struggle with others for position or status within the group (Henry, 2009).
As Landau, stated, Conflict exists in all human relationships: it always has and probably will
(Landau 2001). The traditional view of conflict as something harmful has changed to a common
perceptions where conflict is seen as a way of organizational life. Conflicts beyond usual tensions
may arise when there is misunderstanding, complications or people with different cultural
orientations are interacting. These misunderstandings occurs as result of differing needs, conflict
management styles, assumptions and expectations and stress related issues within the workplace
environment. (Leung Tjosvold, 1998; Ting Toomey, 1988). In many cases, an effective conflict
resolution can lead to personal and organizational growth.

The goal of this research paper is to identify the role of conflicts in a workplace environment, how

New Public Service
Thus far, it is apparent that there are no prescribed actions that a public administrator can take to
stave off conflict amongst her constituency; conflict will occur, and all will look towards the public
administrator to determine the resolution. In their book The New Public Service, Janet and Robert
Denhardt outline several practical lessons for public administrators who serve in what they call the
new public service. First, they suggest that the public administrator must serve citizens, not
customers; she must focus on the values shared by the citizens as a whole, not the interests of
individual customers. Second, seek the public interest: Public administrators must contribute to
building a collective, shared notion of public interest, and then perform in a manner that is in
collusion with this notion. It is important to note that some would argue this point, saying that
while the public interest was an important factor in public administration, it is now public value that
has moved to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A good example of this is the legislation of new policy in California and many other states,
requiring the use of hands free devices when using a cell phone while driving; due to an increased
number of accidents and deaths attributed to cell phone use while driving, public administrators
determined that the new legislation would prove to be valuable to the public. The Denhardts
continue their list with a third suggestion, value citizenship over entrepreneurship. A public
administrator should make policy based on the needs of the community, not on the whims of
entrepreneurs. Currently, some believe the United States government has moved away from this
belief by removing a century old restriction of corporate spending in political campaigns; others say
that this decision has once again given voice to a part of the electorate that had been unjustly

The Role of Autonomy and Responsibility Held by the Bourgeoisie during the Industrial Revolution
During the Industrial Revolution the population was broken up into two classes; the minority was
the rich, industrial middle class, the bourgeoisie, and the majority was the poor working class, the
proletariat. The bourgeoisie believed in their rights to gain wealth and preserve individuality and in
their duty to maintain these rights, which in turn determined the harsh laboring and living
conditions of the working class. The indignities forced upon the lower class also caused movements
that challenged the bourgeoisie to alter their beliefs. These included the creation of Communism,
the Christian Socialist Movement, utopian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their labor was necessary because wages rose only to a subsistent level. It was either work in
appalling surroundings or die of starvation.
Since this hard laboring class only received subsistent wages, their living conditions were bleak
as well. Wages were only high enough for most of the working class to buy products necessary
for survival, such as food and shelter. In his essay, Г¬The Condition of the Working Class in
England,Г® Frederick Engels described the city of Manchester, England, which was a primary
manufacturing town. Everywhere heaps of debris, refuse, and offal; standing pools for gutters,
and a stench which alone would make it impossible for a human being in any degree civilized to
live in such a district (2). At the end of this essay, he admitted his description could not truthfully
represent the reality of it. The breakup of the working class family also occurred due to such low
wages. In another essay, The Impact of the Factory System on Women and the Family,Г® Engels
described the moral degeneration of working class families. He argued that without a mother or a
father there to raise the children, they grew up without any authority figures except the harsh
discipline they received at the factory jobs they worked as small children. He said, Г¬and children
growing up in this savage way, amidst these demoralizing influences, are expected to turn out
goody goody and moral in the end! Verily the

Payers In The Health Care Industry
The role of payers in the health care industry has dramatically increased in the past few years and
will continue to do so with the expanding cost of care. Hospitals are often under scrutiny because of
the discrepancies found between the actual cost of care and what the insurance will reimburse the
organization. Bruce Reuben, the president of the Florida HospitalAssociation, explains the
multifaceted triangle considered by hospitals: There s one party the hospital who provides the
service. There s a second party the patient, who receives the service. And there s a third party the
insurance, who pays for the service (Mack, 2014). The greatest complex part of this triangle is the
last which examines the insurance s payment for service... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Medicare patients make up 42 percent of a hospital s volume and have reimbursement rates that are
set by the U.S. Congress (American hospital association, 2015). Hospitals have little say in
Medicare reimbursement because of the increasing number of regulations and stipulations being set
in efforts of the government to control health care costs. Medicaid patient payment rates are set by
state governments and end up making up around 16 percent of a hospital s volume (American
hospital association, 2015). Between Medicare and Medicaid hospitals bare losses of approximately
$51 billion dollars each year because these programs have very low payback rates (American
hospital association, 2015). Luckily, hospitals can count on privately insured patients to help to
make up this difference with higher negotiated reimbursements that each holds with individual
hospitals. Private insurance companies hold contracts with hospitals on an individual basis, which
depicts the amount reimbursed to the hospitals. These contracts vary significantly and can be
different, even within one specific insurance provider and hospital based upon the plan a patient
might have. The price negotiations are very important is maintaining a competitive edge in the
industry and each negotiation requires a

An Hour Tone
The short story The Story of an Hour is written by Kate Chopin. This story is about a married
woman named, Louise Mallard, who learns about her husband s death, and through the poem she
discovers the positives of this incident. She gradually learns the restrictions that have been lifted
and the new opportunities that arise due to her husband s death, however, the story ends by her
getting a heart attack when she sees her husband still alive, the story throughout is written in third
person point of view. Furthermore, Chopin believes that marriagecan be very restrictive on woman
because of the dominant role the male plays in the relationship and this is shown through the tone
and literary features of the poem.
First, the tone of the poem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The metaphor in the quote storm of grief , presents a sorrowful tone because it displays the
tragedy and misery she experiences due to her husbands passing, however this tone lasts only
for a small part in the beginning in the story and soon changes into a tone of elation.
Furthermore, the symbolism in the line blue sky showing here and there through the clouds [...]
shows the hopeful tone as it conveys how the blue sky begins to emerge from the darkness of
the clouds. The clouds are used to symbolise the husband s death and how the grieve she
experiences due to this incident begins to vanish as the sky clears up. This symbolises the hope
that Mallard begins to attain, and this device is used to hint at the increased opportunities and
benefits she will gain by being alone and gaining independence. Moreover, the realistic tone is
later presented at the end of the story. The dramatic irony in the line of the joy that kills is a
powerful indicator that shows restrictions that are placed on woman. This line is ironic because the
readers know that she did not die because of the joy when she saw her husband but in fact the shock
and disappointment

The Benefits of Being Bilingual My Spanish Standoff by Gabriella Kuntz explains how the fear of
prejudice against Latin America in the United States led her and her husband to avoid speaking and

children is because she saw how the Anglo Saxons in the community treated her because of her
dark complexion, brown eyes and black hair. Another reason, she mentions involves the fact that her
children developed accents and were unable to understand either language completely. Because of
this, Kuntz decides only to speak to them in English to prevent others from criticizing her children
for speaking with broken grammar and thick accents. She believes

Compare Marx And Engels Abolishing Private Property
Marx and Engels sought to abolish private property through Communism just as previous
historical movements have. They cited the French Revolution and how bourgeois property
arose from the banishing of feudal property, and Marx and Engels stated that they desire for a
communal property to arise from the banishing of private property. They believed that
abolishing private property was justified because property is not a product of wage labor; the
only product that wage labor creates is capital. Marx and Engels argued that the existence of
personal property is the direct opposition to wage labor and the capital that goes with it. They said
that capital earned is not any kind of a personal power, but rather it is highly social. Saying this, they

Few technical schools were established and the secondary modern became the cinderellas of the

This extract shows that new system didn t manage to reduce the social division it merely replaced
it with a newer form of social division.
The nature/nurture debate is neither unique nor particular to the 1944 Act, but it is something to be
addressed. Nature, suggesting your intelligence is inherited from your parents and nurture, the
belief that learning is affected by the home and the school environment. Relating the debate to the
1944 Act, brings to our attention the difference in education between social classes. The upper and
middle class children would have definitely had advantage over the working class children, in
terms of cognitive development, as their parents would have been well educated and able to pass
on far greater knowledge. They also would have had better living conditions and quieter homes to
concentrate on homework. The working class tended to have many children, shared bedrooms
would have been common, which was not the ideal learning environment.
The philanthropic aspects of the act were very much linked to the Second World War. The
generally poor fitness standards of the working class recruits highlighted to the government that
changes needed to be made. Free milk in schools, regular

Public Key Infrastructure
Public key infrastructure, known as PKI supports the distribution and identification of public
encryption keys which allows users and computers to securely exchange data over the internet and
networks to confirm the identity of the other party. Without PKI, sensitive information can still be

A standard PKI consists of several components: hardware, software, policies and standards,

PKI as they confirm the identity of the certificate subject and bind that identity to the public key

housing, playgrounds, even a place for more buildings to help get jobs to unemployed people.
Additionally, we could send people to another planet if they intend to do crummy and sinful
things to people and animals. If we are able to get all malicious people off of Earth, then we
would not have to worry about being hurt by the stranger next to us. Living our lives without
worrying about being hurt or killed could change the way people live their lives. This would be an
effective change that I would make if I were to be President.

Above all, the third adjustment that would happen if NASA s budget was raised, would result in
making newer and more efficient technology to help them find a new planet. Recently, at NASA s

and understanding their makeup is challenging. The new planet orbits its star once every 130 days

Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway Essay
Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality. Jules
de Gaultier Set just after one of England s worst tragedies, Virginia Woolf s 1925 novel Mrs.
Dalloway is a vivid picture of the effects of World War I on London s high society, often in
glaring contrast to the effects of shell shock suffered by war veteran Septimus Smith. For members
of high society, the War s impact is largely indirect, mainly affecting their conversations at posh
social functions. Although the war has had little impact on these people, some strive to develop a
deeper understanding of the War s main consequence: death. For Septimus, who has endured the
direct impact of the War as a soldier, however, the memories... Show more content on

Although a small point, it is necessary to add that even Septimus s wife, Rezia, though not in
the same social circle as Clarissa, sees the impacts of the War as ordinary. When reflecting on
Septimus s tendency to talk to his dead friend, Evans, Rezia thinks, [Evans] had seemed a nice
quiet man; a great friend of Septimus s, and he had been killed in the War. But such things happen
to everyone. Everyone has friends who were killed in the War (64). This statement is to Rezia a
mere fact, which highlights that she, like those in Clarissa s circle, is also blissfully ignorant of the
horrors involved in the War, drawing attention to the insurmountable gulf that exists between
Septimus s experience of the War, and everyone else s imagined perception of it. Indeed, the
relaying of information as mentioned above often serves as entertainment for the upper class
throughout the novel, even if the entertainment is derived from such a serious topic as war related
casualties. Even though millions were killed, and many injured, Clarissa s class typically cannot
comprehend the brutality experienced by soldiers in combat, much less the unrelenting stresses and
images that follow them long after they have left the battlefield. However, high society cannot
ignore such cases of human suffering, so they become a sort of fashionable topic. At Clarissa s
party, for example, Lady Bradshaw treats the subject almost casually,

Premature Hair Dyeing
Every woman s worst nightmare is gray hairs because they are the first sign of aging and they
make the whole hair look awful. So, in order to cover these hairs, women are ready to try almost
anything. The most common way to cover gray hairs is with the help of store bought hair dyes,
but, the effects are short term and these hair dyes come with a lot of side effects due to the high
presence of harmful chemicals.
Premature hair graying is a problem that may be a consequence of numerous health problems and
poor diets. It may be a result of hormonal imbalance, smoking, pollution, too much stress, chronic
colds, sinusitis, and thyroid disorders. Gray hairs may also appear due to low amounts of melanin.
If you want to avoid the negative side effects from hair dyes, but if you still want to cover gray
hairs, you should know that there are numerous alternative approaches you can try. But, before we
present one of these methods, you should know the importance of leading a healthier diet consisted
of less processed foods and more organic, raw food.

The Importance Of Spiritual Formation And Social Action
Some respondents reported that, while they were very eager to be engaged with LMAW and that
they had a long and deep appreciation for the importance of spiritual formation and social action,
they also felt that within their usual church life these two things are so disjointed as to be almost
irreconcilable.
One respondent said that a spiritual practice that fails to reflect action becomes self perception
grooming and another said prayer seems important, but also inadequate, [it is] also one of the
only things I can do to make a difference. So I keep praying about it. Just like I keep clicking on
all the online petitions I see about it but with little faith it will bring about any major change any
time soon.
These, and other respondents have had a hard time engaging with their church family. Some even
went as far as to say I was discouraged by my church to participate .
I suspect, however, that the disconnect, and subsequent sense of being a lone voice, unsupported
by the wider church, added to their feelings of aloneness. No doubt the protracted nature of
Australia s mistreatment of asylum seekers and the lack of a general uprising of Christian
community has also contributed to the sense of hopelessness. I do not believe that these feelings
are caused exclusively by their LMAW involvement but their involvement with a group (see below)
of like minded individuals may well have exacerbated their general aloneness and hopelessness.

Environmental Factors Affecting Intelligence Quotient
Environmental Factors and Genetic Trait that influences a Child s Intelligence Quotient
Intelligence of a person involves the ability to reason, plan, solve problems, think abstractly,
comprehend complex ideas, learn quickly, and learn from experience. It is not merely book
learning, a narrow academic skill, or test taking smarts. Rather, it reflects a broader and deeper
capability for comprehending our surroundings catching on, making sense of things, or figuring out
what to do. (Makharia et al, 2016, p.1 3)
There are a couple of factors that determines a child s intelligence quotient (IQ). The first factor is
genetic trait. Naturally, parents pass on some traits to their offspring. This could be eye color,
shape, size, height and blood type. A person s intelligence is also something that is inherited, but the
environment determines if a person reaches their inherited intelligence potential. It is believed that
genetic traits start developing from prenatal period; thus, the unborn child learns and become
familiar with sound, taste, music and many more. After birth, environmental factors such as place
of residence, family income, education, interpersonal relationships with people and among other
factors develops the passed on traits from parents. In most cases, it is believed that children born
into a wealthy family would have high IQ than children born into a low income family. This is
because children born into a wealthy family would have access to good learning

How Did Clara Barton Influence The American Red Cross
Clara Barton was born December 25, 1821 on Christmas Day at Oxford, Massachusetts. Clara s
father was Captain Stephen Barton and her mother was Sara Stone Barton. Clara was the
youngest of four siblings. When Clara was eleven years old her brother fell off the roof of a
barn and became very ill. Clara had to take care if him for two years and found out that she
enjoyed helping and taking care of others. This started Clara s journey of helping and caring for
others by shaping and building the American Red Crossin the United States.
Clara s mother always taught her that people should be treated equally. When Clara was
working at a school they wanted to pay her less than what men were paid. She was an excellent
teacher and she did not agree with this so she argued with them and they agreed to pay her the
full wage. This started Clara s fight for women s rights. Clara became an advocate for women s

Criminals Should Not Have Guns
Convicted Criminals Should Not Own Guns First off, gun control is one of the most stunning and
intriguing topics discussed in the United States today. Gun control should only be for criminals
they should not take guns away from innocent people. Criminals should not be allowed to carry
guns in public as protection because they may harm others, use it for illegal purposes, and with no
federal law. Also, by citing this amendment the supreme court had upheld the right of states to
govern firearms (Masters). In 2008, the decisions were confirmed that an individual right to keep
and bear arms, had outlawed handguns and to lock them in their homes and for them to be
disassembled in Washington, D.C. (Masters). The U.S. has the highest rate... Show more content on

They also add that the system has holes in it (Volokh). Another problem is the laws of carrying
guns vary enormously (Volokh). The case was basically about reading the criminal state and made
sure that the criminal will not go to prison unless the government proves the requirements (Volokh).
Gorsuch and his associates argued that the 10th circuit should have turned the decision that failed
around earlier (Volokh). A felon can regain his gunrights under federal law if the state where he
got convicted restores four things (Volokh). the first and second ones are his gun rights under
state law their right to vote (Volokh). The third and fourth ones are the felons right to serve on a
jury their right to hold office (Volokh). Lastly, no criminals should be allowed to carry guns as
protection in public. Gun control should only apply to criminals who have used guns as a weapon.
One reason that criminals should not be allowed is because they used it to harm another person.
Also, a few others would be that they used it illegally or there is no federal law. Of course they
have certain restrictions on felons or criminals who have used guns as to harm

Altitude Training Essay
The study of altitude training was found during and after the 1968 Olympics, which took place in
Mexico City, which has an elevation 2,240 metres (7,349 ft) above sea level. It was during these
Olympic Games that endurance events saw significant record finishes and anaerobic, sprint events
broke all types of records. (http://www.olympic.org/mexico 1968 summer olympics)
Altitude training is practised by endurance athletes who train for several weeks at high altitude,
Over 2,500 metres above sea level, or at intermediate altitudes due to the shortage of suitable
altitude training locations. Even at intermediate levels the air still contains approximately 20.9%
oxygen, but partial pressure of oxygen is reduced (West J., et al, 1996)
In most tissues of the body, ATP production primarily occurs through mitochondrial oxidative
phosphorylation of reduced intermediates, which are in turn derived from substrates such as
glucose and fatty acids. In order to maintain ATP homeostasis, and cellular function, the
mitochondria requires a constant supply of fuels and oxygen. In many individuals at altitude,
tissue oxygen levels fall and the cell must meet this hypoxic challenge to maintain energetic and
limit oxidative stress. Varying on protocols, the body can adapt to the lack of oxygen which can
be increasing the mass of red blood cells and haemoglobin or changes in muscle metabolism.
Depending very much on the protocols used, the body may adapt to the relative lack of oxygen in

(1984) One thing that stands out about Enemy of the State is its unique use of camera angles to
set mood and tone. A good example of this is in the opening sequence. Vantages of Washington
D.C. exteriors are spliced with shots of high tech monitors and other devices tracking vehicles
from fast orbiting satellites. The camera changes angle quickly and unpredictably here, blending
with this dizzying montage of images to set the frantic, overwhelmed tone of the whole film.
Another example is the unique angles used during scenes depicting Dean having an argument
with his wife and Dean being chased through a tunnel. The crooked angles used to present these
scenes clearly convey the fact that Dean s life is being turned upside down. Some good use of
shadow during indoor scenes helps contribute to the overall paranoid, claustrophobic feel of the
film. Director Tony Scott clearly demonstrates his ability to use cameral angles and lighting to
evoke the feelings central to the theme of the film. Tony Scott has a reputation as a master of the
visually appealing action film. (Tony Scott) He does not fail to live up to that reputation with
Enemy of the State. He keeps up a quick pace throughout, using a multitude of finely
choreographed chase scenes and narrow escapes guaranteed to bring audiences to the edge of their
seats. High levels of speed and intensity are even used in the transitional scenes, giving the
impression that every moment you

mental disability because mental disabilities affect many people, but they often go unnoticed. This
article will explain what Major Depressive Disorderis, its effects, and how it can be controlled.
Major Depressive Disorder is a serious mental disability that affects approximately 14.8 million
adults in America. Though, what exactly is Major Depressive Disorder? The MDD is very
similar to moderate depression, but the symptoms are more severe. Episodes of this type of severe
depression often occur more than once in a person s life. The symptoms of this mental disability
can cause difficulty with eating, sleeping, enjoying life, working, and studying. A person
experiencing MDD may also have thoughts of suicide. Daily tasks become much harder with this
disorder, but there are ways to help control Major Depressive Disorder. MDD has several ways in
which it can be solved or become less intense. One way people can treat it is by taking

Importance Of Meditation And The Kind Of Mindset Yoda
Basing one s understanding of meditation from the terms mentioned above, one can see the
resemblance and connection between meditation and the kind of mindset Yoda asks Luke
Skywalker to emulate. In Star Wars, concentration is essential to the life of a Jedi Knight, because
through its practice, a Jedi is able to let the force flow through them, to guide his actions, instead of
suffering and failing from clinging to the notion of control. Buddhist Meditation allows for one to
be fully present, to take in everything that the present moment has to offer, instead of clinging to the
past that is long gone, and the future that has yet to come. Correspondingly, JediKnights are asked
to focus on the present because every emotion that disrupts their mission to protect the galaxies, lies
in clinging to emotions that surround the past and the future.
To further understand the concept of being fully present, according to author Matthew Bortolin:
We become caught in the memories of our past mistakes and lost in fantasies about future
triumphs, and in so doing we lose the joy available in the present. In the time of the Buddha his
disciples were known to be exceptionally joyful and even radiant. It was a striking sight: simple
monks, residing in the wilderness and eating very little, yet so luminous and serene. When asked
how this came to be, the Buddha said, They do not repent the past, nor do they brood for the future.
They live in the present. Therefore they are radiant. By

Of course, those two safety features are extremely important, but Honda goes even further and adds
other attributes like brake assist and electronic brake force distribution for help with a hard brake.
The addition of the Collision Mitigation Braking Systemв„ў,standard on all but two of the models,
makes sure that you stop by delivering brake pressure if sensors detect an obstacle in your path like
another car.
Other systems like the Lane Departure Warning let you know when you may be drifting off course
and into trouble.
When you re driving along, you may not feel a tire that is losing pressure from running over a
sharp item, so the Tire Pressure Monitoring System can detect and determine whether you re
losing air pressure in an individual tire. This allows you time to get off to a safe place where you
can replace the tire before you have a flat. Getting a flat tire at highway speeds can be very
dangerous no matter how many safety features your vehicle has on it.

Most Important Titan Gods
The Titans There are 12 first generation titans. The Titans (males) were Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus,

Rhea and Themis. A common question asked is who is the most important Titan god? Hyperion is
the most important Titangod. The three most important Titan gods are Hyperion, Mnemosyne, and
Cronus.
Hyperion is the god of heavenly light. He is also thought of as the one who cycles the sun.
Hyperion, as a Titan son of Heaven, was probably also viewed as the primal god who first
ordered the cycles of sun, moon and dawn, establishing the regular rhythm of days and months.
His brother Krios, on the other hand, presided over the ordering of the heavenly constellations
and so in a complimentary manner ordered the year and the cycle of seasons (HYPERION).
Mnemosyne is the goddess of memory, and time. Mnemosyne was also a goddess of time. She
represented the rote memorisation required to preserve the stories of history and the sagas of
myth before the introduction of writing. In this role she was the mother of the Mousai (Muses)
who were originally patron goddesses of poets of the oral tradition (MNEMOSYNE). Cronus is

Romans which is a letter from Paul by reveals answers to important questions and is able to supply

foundation of Christian faith. Looking for things through the text in the Romans such as (1) the
natural world, (2) human identity, (3) human relationships, and (4) culture.
The first thing is the natural world. In the natural world it is full of sin, murder and crime are being
committed even back in Romans. During Paul s days was full of sin. We see sinners worship
the creation but to the creator. There were sins that were being committed back then that are still
being committed till this day. When reading Romans first off it was a little bit confusing at first
but after rereading it it started to become more clear that the Romans in the past worshiped many
gods. They were trying to gain the love and hopes from the people in their town. The writer of
Romans Paul wanted to cover this due to he believed he saw the issues within the Roman society
and so he addressed it with the church. He decided to point out the sins and make it more to the
graceful to the people and the church. In Romans Paul distinguished human identity as being the
saved and the unsaved, and the Jews. Paul talks about whether humanity is the law or not. Paul

Last season Todd Bertuzzi of the Vancouver Canucks dropped Colorado Avalanche rookie Steve
Moore from behind causing Moore to suffer three broken vertebrae in his neck and a concussion.
Some say that hockey actually made Bertuzzi do what he did. Though Bertuzzi acted out of rage,
it was really nothing more than what hockey taught him and literally hundreds of thousands of
kids to do over the past fifty years. I have played hockey for well over half of my life and I know
this to be true; it is the nature of the sport. Violence is conditioned into all of us in different ways
and to different degrees. Those who say Hockey made Bertuzzi do it, do have a point. It is the
same in the streets and households across the country. If a child is constantly faced with
violence in their home, they will no doubt grow up to be more violent than the child who did not
experience such living. This goes for anyone and in all areas of life. Violence is a vicious cycle and
is very close to impossible to stop or even cut down. The more one is conditioned to violence, the
more violent a person they will become.
How does one justify violence in the sports we have come to love? One of the most interesting
aspects of sports violence is that which is committed by the fan. Not only is violence committed by
athletes, but at times sport fans can get so caught up and emotionally charged by rooting for their
home team and things end up getting out of hand. The best examples of this

together; primary and secondary. First, Guinness explains the concept of a primary calling that
every Christian receives. This primary call declares that Christians are called by Him, to Him and
for Him. (Pg. 31) He then further explains that we are called to Someone (God), not to something
(such as motherhood, politics or teaching) or to somewhere (such as the inner city or Outer
Mongolia). (Pg. 31) Guinness presents his idea on the primary calling as a calling directly into
relationship with God that every believer receives before anything else. It would be foolish to
think that one receives a calling to serve in a specific church as a pastor before they ever become
a believer. Even further, Guinness argues that Neither work, nor career can be fully satisfying
without a deeper sense of calling but calling itself is empty and indistinguishable from work unless
there is Someone who calls. (Pg. 37) Our primary calling it to God as believers and no one else,
and if we are

Susan Griffin s Our Secret Essay
The Secrets of Our Secret
Throughout Our Secret Griffin explores the different characters fears and secrets and she gives
specific insights into these secrets . Through examining others Griffin comes to terms with her own
feelings, secrets, and fears. She relates to Himmler, Leo, Helene, and everyone else even though she
is different than all of them. One fact that can be made about all of these characters is that they all
represent humans and human emotion First, Griffin reveals that there is a hidden side to everyone
that is only known within, and anything outside could be a false representation, or imposter. I think
of it now as a kind of mask, not an animated mask that expresses the essence of an inner truth, but a

But at this moment in his life Heinrich is facing a void. I remember a similar void, when a long
and intimate relationship ended. What I felt then was fear. And at times panic (Griffin 358).
The void that Griffin is talking about is the same void Himmler had and that is feelings that are
raging within finally brought out. The difference is that Griffin exposes her feelings, but
Himmler cannot. Griffin also writes about how these bottled up secrets create barriers against
understanding others, like issues of homosexuality and race. Habit has made it natural not to
feel. To ignore the consequences of what one does in the world becomes ordinary. One is never
allowed to see the effects of what one does (Griffin 372). Basically she is saying that it is so
much easier to hide behind this barrier than to break through it and try to understand others of
different races or sexual preference. She is also saying that people get used to not feeling any
emotions, once someone ignores feelings it becomes a habit and they do it over and over again.
It is easier to hide from something than to face it head on. Griffin s grandfather is an anti Semite
and looks at crime magazines. She describes his ignorance on page 361. His eyes, no longer
looking at me, blazed with a kind of blindness (Griffin 361). Her grandfather takes the easy way
out and reveals his ignorance through his stories and opinions of others. The point that she is trying
to make is

  • 2. Health Spending Account Any time that an avenue can be explored which benefits both sides of the aisle, it should be covered completely, discussed, and questioned. One of those things is a Health Spending Account. This fringe benefit offering can help everyone! Here are some quick facts to spark your interest: FUNDS ARE DEPOSITED PRE TAX. While this is generally considered a win for the employee, it is also a win for the employer, who pays payroll taxes as well. This could be as much as a ten percent savings. OFTEN COMBINED WITH HIGH DEDUCTIBLE HEALTH PLANS. Although nobody likes a high deductible, it can be offset with a HSA. The higher deductible allows a savings for employer and employee on the insurance since the higher up front costs mean lower monthly premiums,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The HAS is independent of the insurance plan, so it goes with the employee. If next year finds a better plan with a savings for the parties involved, then pack up and move to that money saver, and be sure to pack that HSA. If the whole purpose of using the HDHP is savings, then this is another incentive to keep looking for better plans. INTEREST CREATED THROUGH THE INVESTMENTS OF THE FUND ARE TAX FREE, ALSO. While your money sits, waiting to be used, it is invested, and any interest is untaxed. This is another incentive for the employees to deposit monies into the funds. HEALTH SPENDING ACCOUNTS ARE A GREAT PART OF A FRINGE PACKAGE WHICH WILL HELP RETAIN TOP EMPLOYEES. Having a high quality package of perks will draw in the most qualified applicants and retain those already working. More people leave jobs based on fringes than on salary. Addressing this with a great benefit package will help all involved. SPENDING ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO INCREASE EMPLOYEE INVOLVEMENT IN THEIR HEALTH CARE. Studies show that those who are responsible for the oversight of their funds are more interested in their care, more willing to obey doctor s orders, more likely to ask about the costs of the care they receive and alternative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He knew moving to Spain was going to add more pressure to him and this is where his rivalry with Lionel Messi started. While in Real Madrid, he won one Spanish La Liga, one Copa del Rey, and one Spanish Super Cup. Even though Ronaldo is tall, he has the speed to match with Messi. Since Ronaldo is a two footer, he can play in both sides of the wings and as a striker and on occasions, midfield. Messi is a center forward who also plays as a striker and can also play in the wings but not as effective as Ronaldo. Ronaldo s style is showboating, which shows a variety of ball skills to confuse the defender, while Messi uses his quickness to get past defenders easily for a quick goal. Putting the speed and quickness aside, Ronaldo is more deadly during set pieces. He is known for his quick and powerful free kicks outside the box that doesn t give goalkeepers a chance. He is also taller than Messi so he has more threat during corner kicks because he can jump high and hit powerful headers. There are few similarities between Ronaldo and Messi. First is they play in the same league, Spanish La Liga. They have acquired the same awards in European football such us the Ballon d Or (European Player of The Year before merging to FIFA Ballon d Or), European Golden Shoe, UEFA Club Footballer of the Year, Spanish La Liga s Top Scorer, and is now competing for the 2013 FIFA Ballon d Or. • 4. Workplace Conflicts And Conflict Management Styles Workplace Conflicts and Conflict Management Styles Greg Jefia MBA 5213 Dr. Edwards December 12, 2014 Introduction Conflicts in the workplace and interpersonal relationship are inevitable. Organizational conflict is common in the workplace because people always have divergent views on various issues, interests, ideologies, goals, and aspirations (Deutsch, 1990). Conflict exists in all kinds of environments because people compete for power, jobs, resources, security and recognition. People who seek power therefore, struggle with others for position or status within the group (Henry, 2009). As Landau, stated, Conflict exists in all human relationships: it always has and probably will (Landau 2001). The traditional view of conflict as something harmful has changed to a common perceptions where conflict is seen as a way of organizational life. Conflicts beyond usual tensions may arise when there is misunderstanding, complications or people with different cultural orientations are interacting. These misunderstandings occurs as result of differing needs, conflict management styles, assumptions and expectations and stress related issues within the workplace environment. (Leung Tjosvold, 1998; Ting Toomey, 1988). In many cases, an effective conflict resolution can lead to personal and organizational growth. • 5. New Public Service Thus far, it is apparent that there are no prescribed actions that a public administrator can take to stave off conflict amongst her constituency; conflict will occur, and all will look towards the public administrator to determine the resolution. In their book The New Public Service, Janet and Robert Denhardt outline several practical lessons for public administrators who serve in what they call the new public service. First, they suggest that the public administrator must serve citizens, not customers; she must focus on the values shared by the citizens as a whole, not the interests of individual customers. Second, seek the public interest: Public administrators must contribute to building a collective, shared notion of public interest, and then perform in a manner that is in collusion with this notion. It is important to note that some would argue this point, saying that while the public interest was an important factor in public administration, it is now public value that has moved to the... A good example of this is the legislation of new policy in California and many other states, requiring the use of hands free devices when using a cell phone while driving; due to an increased number of accidents and deaths attributed to cell phone use while driving, public administrators determined that the new legislation would prove to be valuable to the public. The Denhardts continue their list with a third suggestion, value citizenship over entrepreneurship. A public administrator should make policy based on the needs of the community, not on the whims of entrepreneurs. Currently, some believe the United States government has moved away from this belief by removing a century old restriction of corporate spending in political campaigns; others say that this decision has once again given voice to a part of the electorate that had been unjustly ... The Role of Autonomy and Responsibility Held by the Bourgeoisie during the Industrial Revolution During the Industrial Revolution the population was broken up into two classes; the minority was the rich, industrial middle class, the bourgeoisie, and the majority was the poor working class, the proletariat. The bourgeoisie believed in their rights to gain wealth and preserve individuality and in their duty to maintain these rights, which in turn determined the harsh laboring and living conditions of the working class. The indignities forced upon the lower class also caused movements that challenged the bourgeoisie to alter their beliefs. Their labor was necessary because wages rose only to a subsistent level. It was either work in appalling surroundings or die of starvation. Since this hard laboring class only received subsistent wages, their living conditions were bleak as well. Wages were only high enough for most of the working class to buy products necessary for survival, such as food and shelter. In his essay, Г¬The Condition of the Working Class in England,Г® Frederick Engels described the city of Manchester, England, which was a primary manufacturing town. Everywhere heaps of debris, refuse, and offal; standing pools for gutters, and a stench which alone would make it impossible for a human being in any degree civilized to live in such a district (2). At the end of this essay, he admitted his description could not truthfully represent the reality of it. The breakup of the working class family also occurred due to such low wages. In another essay, The Impact of the Factory System on Women and the Family,Г® Engels described the moral degeneration of working class families. He argued that without a mother or a father there to raise the children, they grew up without any authority figures except the harsh discipline they received at the factory jobs they worked as small children. Hospitals are often under scrutiny because of the discrepancies found between the actual cost of care and what the insurance will reimburse the organization. Bruce Reuben, the president of the Florida HospitalAssociation, explains the multifaceted triangle considered by hospitals: There s one party the hospital who provides the service. There s a second party the patient, who receives the service. And there s a third party the insurance, who pays for the service (Mack, 2014). The greatest complex part of this triangle is the last which examines the insurance s payment for service... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Medicare patients make up 42 percent of a hospital s volume and have reimbursement rates that are set by the U.S. Congress (American hospital association, 2015). Hospitals have little say in Medicare reimbursement because of the increasing number of regulations and stipulations being set in efforts of the government to control health care costs. Medicaid patient payment rates are set by state governments and end up making up around 16 percent of a hospital s volume (American hospital association, 2015). Between Medicare and Medicaid hospitals bare losses of approximately $51 billion dollars each year because these programs have very low payback rates (American hospital association, 2015). Luckily, hospitals can count on privately insured patients to help to make up this difference with higher negotiated reimbursements that each holds with individual hospitals. Private insurance companies hold contracts with hospitals on an individual basis, which depicts the amount reimbursed to the hospitals. These contracts vary significantly and can be different, even within one specific insurance provider and hospital based upon the plan a patient might have. She gradually learns the restrictions that have been lifted and the new opportunities that arise due to her husband s death, however, the story ends by her getting a heart attack when she sees her husband still alive, the story throughout is written in third person point of view. The metaphor in the quote storm of grief , presents a sorrowful tone because it displays the tragedy and misery she experiences due to her husbands passing, however this tone lasts only for a small part in the beginning in the story and soon changes into a tone of elation. Furthermore, the symbolism in the line blue sky showing here and there through the clouds [...] shows the hopeful tone as it conveys how the blue sky begins to emerge from the darkness of the clouds. The clouds are used to symbolise the husband s death and how the grieve she experiences due to this incident begins to vanish as the sky clears up. This symbolises the hope that Mallard begins to attain, and this device is used to hint at the increased opportunities and benefits she will gain by being alone and gaining independence. Moreover, the realistic tone is later presented at the end of the story. The dramatic irony in the line of the joy that kills is a powerful indicator that shows restrictions that are placed on woman. This line is ironic because the readers know that she did not die because of the joy when she saw her husband but in fact the shock and disappointment ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(http://www.olympic.org/mexico 1968 summer olympics) Altitude training is practised by endurance athletes who train for several weeks at high altitude, Over 2,500 metres above sea level, or at intermediate altitudes due to the shortage of suitable altitude training locations. Even at intermediate levels the air still contains approximately 20.9% oxygen, but partial pressure of oxygen is reduced (West J., et al, 1996) In most tissues of the body, ATP production primarily occurs through mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation of reduced intermediates, which are in turn derived from substrates such as glucose and fatty acids. • 33. Importance Of Meditation And The Kind Of Mindset Yoda Basing one s understanding of meditation from the terms mentioned above, one can see the resemblance and connection between meditation and the kind of mindset Yoda asks Luke Skywalker to emulate. In Star Wars, concentration is essential to the life of a Jedi Knight, because through its practice, a Jedi is able to let the force flow through them, to guide his actions, instead of suffering and failing from clinging to the notion of control. Buddhist Meditation allows for one to be fully present, to take in everything that the present moment has to offer, instead of clinging to the past that is long gone, and the future that has yet to come. Correspondingly, JediKnights are asked to focus on the present because every emotion that disrupts their mission to protect the galaxies, lies in clinging to emotions that surround the past and the future. To further understand the concept of being fully present, according to author Matthew Bortolin: We become caught in the memories of our past mistakes and lost in fantasies about future triumphs, and in so doing we lose the joy available in the present. In the time of the Buddha his disciples were known to be exceptionally joyful and even radiant. It was a striking sight: simple monks, residing in the wilderness and eating very little, yet so luminous and serene. When asked how this came to be, the Buddha said, They do not repent the past, nor do they brood for the future. They live in the present. Therefore they are radiant. By ... Some say that hockey actually made Bertuzzi do what he did. Though Bertuzzi acted out of rage, it was really nothing more than what hockey taught him and literally hundreds of thousands of kids to do over the past fifty years. I have played hockey for well over half of my life and I know this to be true; it is the nature of the sport. Violence is conditioned into all of us in different ways and to different degrees. Those who say Hockey made Bertuzzi do it, do have a point. It is the same in the streets and households across the country. If a child is constantly faced with violence in their home, they will no doubt grow up to be more violent than the child who did not experience such living. This goes for anyone and in all areas of life. Violence is a vicious cycle and is very close to impossible to stop or even cut down. The more one is conditioned to violence, the more violent a person they will become. How does one justify violence in the sports we have come to love? • 41. The Call, Os Guinness In his book, The Call Os Guinness presents the biblical definition of calling for the Christian. Guinness brings clarity to what true Biblical calling is, and how it should affect our lives. Guinness presents the skewed modern conception of calling, that is not at all biblical, and shatters its ideas. Throughout The Call , Guinness explains how calling should transform our lives, and influence everything that we do. Guinness explains that there are twodifferent types of calling that work together; primary and secondary. First, Guinness explains the concept of a primary calling that every Christian receives. This primary call declares that Christians are called by Him, to Him and for Him. (Pg. 31) He then further explains that we are called to Someone (God), not to something (such as motherhood, politics or teaching) or to somewhere (such as the inner city or Outer Mongolia). (Pg. 31) Guinness presents his idea on the primary calling as a calling directly into relationship with God that every believer receives before anything else. It would be foolish to think that one receives a calling to serve in a specific church as a pastor before they ever become a believer. Even further, Guinness argues that Neither work, nor career can be fully satisfying without a deeper sense of calling but calling itself is empty and indistinguishable from work unless there is Someone who calls. (Pg. 37) Our primary calling it to God as believers and no one else, and if we are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The difference is that Griffin exposes her feelings, but Himmler cannot. Griffin also writes about how these bottled up secrets create barriers against understanding others, like issues of homosexuality and race. Habit has made it natural not to feel. To ignore the consequences of what one does in the world becomes ordinary. One is never allowed to see the effects of what one does (Griffin 372). Basically she is saying that it is so much easier to hide behind this barrier than to break through it and try to understand others of different races or sexual preference. She is also saying that people get used to not feeling any emotions, once someone ignores feelings it becomes a habit and they do it over and over again. It is easier to hide from something than to face it head on. Griffin s grandfather is an anti Semite and looks at crime magazines. She describes his ignorance on page 361.
