CONFLICT
CONCEPT
• Conflict is defined as a clash between individuals arising out of a difference in thought process,
attitudes, understanding , interests , requirements and even sometimes perceptions.
• In a company a work is being given to 2 of the good friends but they had conflict due to how to present
the task to the boss. There main conflict arise due to their difference in understanding. The outcome
was that they both were not able to achieve target in time and both were not able to stand each other.
RELATION BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONAL
PERFORMANCE AND CONFLICT

TYPES OF ORGANIZATIONAL CONFLICTS
• Between individuals based on differing goals and values
• Interpersonal Conflict arises from personal differences, information deficiency, role
• incompatibility and environmental stress.
INTRAGROUP CONFLICTS
• Occurs in a group or team as their way of thinking or completion of work does not match
INTERGROUP CONFLICTS
• This type of conflict occurs between two or more teams or groups
INTERORGANIZATIONAL CONFLICTS
• This type of conflict arises between two or more organizations because of their functioning
• Inter Organizational Conflict arises from the macro business environment when
• organizations compete for market share.
CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
• Conflict management is the process of limiting the negative aspects of conflict while increasing the
positive aspects of conflict. The aim of conflict management is to enhance learning and group
outcomes, including effectiveness or performance in organizational setting. ...
