Cảm biến áp suất SITRANS P hoạt động hữu hiệu với dải từ 1 mbar đến 400 bar (0.0145 psi đến 5800 psi) trong môi trường khắc nghiệt với ảnh hưởng bởi hoá chất, cơ khí và nhiễu từ trường. Ngoài ra các cảm biến này còn cung cấp tính năng tự giám sát, chuẩn đoán lỗi, thông báo trạng thái, đặc biệt là khả năng tự kiểm tra cho việc vận hành an toàn. Cảm biến có thể thay thế phần tử đo lường thuận tiện, dễ dàng, điều này giúp cho người dùng thuận lợi tiết kiệm chi phí sửa chữa đơn giản, nhanh, và giá thành hạ.
