Client project evaluation
Constraints
In terms of legal constraints I had to weary of copyrighted images as if I had
used any in the project my client would have had legal action taken against
them and this could have impacted my relationship with the client and
possibly further clients. To avoid this I made sure to only use my own images
in the project to ensure that I was able to use them on my publications
without fear of copyright action being taken. I also had to be aware of
regulatory constrains form bodies such as the Advertising standards
authority. They may have taken action against me if I were to provide
information or make claims on the advertising material that were false or did
not give the full picture to the points where viewers were being mislead. To
avoid this I have only used information that is accurate on the publications
that I have produced in order to avoid creating any misconceptions.
Management of the project
I feel that I have been able to manage the project effectively largely in
part to the planning that I undertook with the project as it allowed me
to outline all of the key areas of the project that I needed to complete
and what aspects needed to be taken into account. This ensured that I
was able to complete all of the task for the project to a good standard
and made sure that all of the clients requirements were met. I also feel
that the management in regards to the management of equipment and
personnel was also handled well as the things that I needed were all
decided beforehand so I did not have to try and acquire things on short
notice which allowed me to take my time and ensure the quality of the
project.
Time management within the project
I feel that I have been able to manage the time that I have been given
for this project effectively. I spilt the 5 weeks that I was given into 2
weeks of planning, two weeks of production and one week of
evaluation and improvements. This allowed me to have ample time to
complete each part of the project to a good standard whilst leaving
some room for the evaluation and improvement of all parts of the
project at the end. The time that I have given to each part of the
project was sufficient to complete it and I feel that I was able to
comfortably complete each part. I was also able to negotiate this
timeframe with the client who was in agreement with the timescale
that I had set. This allowed me to have the client well informed of
when the publications would be complete.

This is the production schedule that I used during the
project to allow me to allocate the time that I was
given. I was able to stick to the plan and get the
production of the project completed on time which
show a good level of time management.
How did I manage communication within the
project
I feel that I was able to keep a clear and consistent form of communication
open with the client throughout the entirety of the project. This has allowed
me to ensure that we have a clear and unified vision when it came to the end
result of the project and allowed us to ensure that any alterations or updates
to the project were agreed on and understood by both me and the client.
This allowed us to have a positive time during the project as there was no
confusion or misunderstandings during the project as we were able to keep a
good amount of communication which is key. The level of communication is
important as it means that both parties can be sure that they both know
what is going at all times throughout the project so that if any party decides
to change any document or has anything happen that may effect the project
everyone can be told and alter assets accordingly without being surprised
later on in the project when there will be less time to change anything.
Meeting requirements for the brief & achieve
my agreed outcomes
I have been successful in meeting all of the requirements for the brief
that were outlined to me by the client in the brief that I was provided. I
have been able to do this due to my good communication skills with
the client as they have been able to keep me informed of the
requirements throughout the project so that I know exactly what is
needed in each of the documents. I was able to achieve my agreed
outcomes due to the planning that I did before starting the project as
this allowed me to set out a suitable timescale and make sure that I
had all the equipment and knowledge that I needed in order to
succeed in the production of the project.
Meeting requirements for the brief & achieve
my agreed outcomes
In the brief the client outlined the different requirements that
they wanted to be fulfilled by the projects completion. Here is a
comparison of the final products of the project alongside the
requirements that the client set out to see how successful I was in
completing the task I was set.

What have I learned that could help me in
future tasks
I have gained experience working with a client that has existing assets in an
existing company. This allows me to have real world experience when it
comes to future jobs with other companies as I will have produced content
for companies in the past. This will allow me to know the sorts of questions
to ask the client about the project to ensure that a clear and consistent level
of communication is kept between me and the client. I will also know what
type of brief that me and the client should have depending on the situation
as I have gone over how to work with different kinds of brief during the
project. I will also know about how important it is to plan thoroughly for
projects like these and I will be able to more effectively organise a timescale
and production schedule to help me complete the project in a time that the
client is happy with whilst still maintaining a high quality of work.
Feedback from the client
I have given my finished work to the client in order to get some feedback on the project as
a whole and see if the client is happy with the work that I have produced and whether I
have met all of the requirements that they asked for. In terms of the logo that I have
produced the client feels that I have been able to portray a style similar to the existing
billing heading that the company already in terms of font and colour scheme. The client is
also happy with the simplicity of the design as they feel that it makes the logo look more
professional and straightforward so that a viewer can understand what the company does
at a short glance and is not bombarded with irrelevant information and images. In terms of
the business card the client is also happy with the design that I have produced as it
contains all of the information that the client requested to be present such as the contact
information and the services offered by the company. The client also likes the use of colour
and imagery on the business card as it makes it clear form a quick glance what the nature
of the work that the company does is. In terms of improvements the client stated that the
business card could use more specific information such as the years of experience and the
fact that they have high class machinery. I have made sure to amend my design in order to
accommodate this change and the client is now happy with the designs that I have
produced for them.
