The CIT Access Service supports underrepresented groups like students with disabilities, mature students, those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and minority ethnic groups. It provides pre-entry, entry, and post-entry supports through services like the Disability Support Service and programs for mature and linked school students. New developments include participation in the HEAR program starting in 2019 to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The DSS promotes an inclusive educational environment, where
independent learning and the development of skills that are
transferable is encouraged.
