To create a mysterious effect, the photographer used the equalize filter to bring out darker colors, then used the posterize filter at level two. Converting a photo to black and white and adding film grain and darker tones created a dark feeling. The equalize filter brought out different tones, and the magic wand tool removed parts of a mirror to isolate the subject, with adjusted brightness and contrast adding to intrigue about the photo's context.
1. On this I used the equalize filter on adjustments
which brought the darker colours out more.
Then I went on the posterize filter and put it on
level two to create this effect. I think it has
worked well as it brings the mysterious style of
Cindy Sherman out well.
2. To create this effect I converted the photo into black and
white to see what that would make it look like. I then
used the film grain filter to give it a slight grainy look. I
then made the whole photo darker, and then used the
burn tool to make the eyes darker. I think this adds to
the dark feeling of the photo
3. To create this effect I used then equalize filter which
brought the different tones out. I then used the magic
wand tool to get rid of all the stuff in the mirror so it was
just white surrounding me in the photo. I then changed
the brightness and contrast to bring out darkness. I think
this looks really effect because it makes you think about
what's going on in the photo.
