1. Original and edited images
I made all of
these images
black and white
as I wanted
them to go
next to each
other on the
contents pages.
I think this
gives the
magazine a bit
of a grungy
look, which fits
in to my genre.

2. I wanted to have an individual
picture of each member of the
girl band to put together on my
double page spread, under the
image of them together. I picked
out pictures where each girl
looks good and cropped it, then
changed the vibrance and
saturation to make it look more
effective.

3. These were the best two images to use for my double page spread, so I edited both
before making a final decision. I didn’t change much, mainly I just messed about
with the brightness and saturation. Since deciding to do the individual pictures as
well, I decided the second picture would be more effective as the main image as it
is slightly more serious than the individual pictures with all the facial expressions
and hand gestures.

4. I didn’t edit too much on this picture, I mainly just put the brightness down a bit so it
didn’t have so many bright colours. This is because I want my magazine to have quite a
dark, grungy feel and this would fit in better.
These were the two pictures I originally had
to use as cover images, although I am not
happy with them so I will be taking more to
use as my main image.
