Studentswill examine the partsof a story.Then,theywill explore the manyformsinwhichwe
can create storieswithtechnological resources,includingonlinelinksforDigital Storytelling.Students
will determine the character(s),setting,plot,andtheme inchildren’sliterature,podcasts,andvideos.
Next,they will create theirownstoryaboutcharacter (civics,manners,respect,etc.) usinganyformof
theirchoice.Finally,students willcreate andprogram robotsof theirstorythat connectsto an eventin
history.Forexample,if astudentcreatesastoryabout respect,theymightcreate a robotthat placesits
handon its heartinrespectwhile the StarSpangledBannerisplayedbeforeagame. We will alsoalign
thiswiththe electricity andtechnology science unit.
