- 1. Third grade lesson: The First Thanksgiving By Kacey Blatt
- 2. Analyze the Learner โข In my third grade class, there will be 12 boys and 10 girls learning about the First Thanksgiving. โข There will be Hispanic, Caucasian, African American Students. Some students will have ADHD and Dyslexia. โข I will incorporate different activities to get every student involved.
- 3. Main objective ๏ In my second grade class the students will learn about the First Thanksgiving. ๏ The students will understand why we celebrate Thanksgiving. ๏ Each student will do online activities, crafts, reading, writing, and group work. ๏ I expect 90% of my students to understand the Thanksgiving holiday.
- 4. Day to Day Activities ๏ Monday: Students will read and look at pictures about the First Thanksgiving. We will have a discussion after the students read. ๏ Tuesday: The students will be asked to draw a picture of what they thought the First Thanksgiving was like. ๏ Wednesday: I will make an assignment where the students are put into groups and have to create a skit to perform on Friday. ๏ Thursday: The students will go to the computer lab and look up ideas for there project, then do fun activities on the computer. ๏ Friday: The students will perform their skits and then we will have another class discussion on what they have learned.
