Personal Health Records
At its core, a personal health record (PHR) is a computerized tool that is designed to allow patients to
control, store, use, and share their personal health information. Braunstein (2014) stated that,
According to a 2010 national survey done by California Health Foundations (CHF), patient access to
health data does actually improve care (pg.81). People who have access to their medical records are
more aware of their health, are more interested in their health, and are taking better care of
themselves. This is an important step towards decreasing this country s chronic illnesses, which, in
return could possibly reduce medical spending. In order for personal healthcare records (PHRs) to be
successful there needs to be security, privacy, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis
The weaknesses of the story are just too long. It was too broad, and it will make you boring on some
pages. It makes you upset because there s a twist and some words that they used is hard to understand.
Even though there are weaknesses of the story, it will make you be a critical thinker. For the example,
on how s her parents could be find. It is exciting because your expected will not be the same as you
expect at the last part of the story. Although it is a true story, there is a doubt that can possibly form in
your mind because for me, some details are not possible. But all in all, it is beautiful to have read.
IV. Conclusion
Jody was very nice book, a true story life written by Jerry Hulse. This story, make you believe that
family is a family no matter what happen. They faced all the problems even though it is hard, it is
impossible to solve. It will teach you how to forgive someone who did wrong to you. It will make you

Tutankhamun Burial
Ancient Egypt revolved around the belief that one was reborn after death and would be guaranteed
eternal life if the body was preserved and buried properly. Tutankhamun became a pharaoh of Egypt at
the age of nine during the 18th Dynasty. His rain lasted approximately 10 years when he died
unexpectedly and consequently his tomb and burial was rushed leaving him with a much smaller and
less impressive tomb that was common for 18th dynasty tombs. Tutankhamun s tomb was discovered
still sealed by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings. Evidently, as to
the undersized scale of the tomb it was hardly touched by grave robbers as every other tomb had been,
leaving the modern world with great treasures and artefacts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These paintings, through limited, show evidence that Tutankhamun s funeral preparations comply with
Osirin burial customs. The paintings depict scenes of Tutankhamun s preparation and voyage to the
afterworld. The northern wall of the burial room portray scenes from the Opening of the mouth
ceremony and Tutankhamun, followed by his Ka, being greeted by Osiris. The Opening of the mouth
ceremony was perfumed by Ay, Tutankhamun s successor as he had no heirs to the throne, and it
allowed the deceased to be reborn again in the afterlife and keep all his senses. Tutankhamun is
greeted by the sky goddess Nut who is a symbol of resurrection, representing the dead pharaoh being
reborn into the afterlife. A scarab beetles is displayed above a solar boat on the wast wall symbolising
new life and the twelve baboon deities represent the hours of the night the pharaoh must travel to be
reborn. On the southern wall of the burial room Tutankhamun is pictured being welcomed to the
afterlife by Isis, Horus and Anubis. Both Horus and Anubis are holding Ankhs which convey
Tutankhamun s eternal life in the afterworld. Each wall depicts a different scenes with the similar
theme of resurrection, new life and eternal life, all concepts associated with Osirian funerary

The French Occupation Of Spain During The Peninsular War
Francisco Goya was a Spanish painter and printmaker, especially known for his works depicting and
commenting on the horrors of the French Occupation of Spain during the Peninsular War, in the early
1800 s. The Third of May , an oil on canvas painting created in 1814 by Goya, illustrates the mass
executions of innocent Spanish civilians, in response to the uprising of civilians against the French
military the previous day. Saturn Devouring his son , another oil on canvas masterpiece by Goya,
depicts the mythological, gruesome figure of the god Saturn, who, based upon the fear of a prophecy,
ate each one of his own children.
The Third of May depicts a pitch black sky, looming over crowds of people below, dimly lit by
geometric lanterns nearby. The focus of the scene involves two separate groups the faceless,
practically identical French military, aiming their guns towards the direction of a group of petrified
civilians, making various different positions. Around the civilians are lifeless bodies, coated in their
own blood. As many of the civilians turn away, one figure is prominent in the centre. The man s arms
are outstretched in a seemingly surrendering manner, as he kneels upon the ground, waiting to be shot.
Unlike the other people, whose clothes are a sea of dark blues, greens and browns, the man wears
bright white and yellow clothing, emphasised through the illuminating light of the lantern which is
cast in his direction. If examined closely, the man also appears

Armed And Pilgrimage By Jeffrey Gettleman Analysis
Do you remember being a kid watching the news with your parents? Imagine being back there in your
parents room watching the anchors talk about world news while you read the sunday comics. As you
flip the pages of the humorous part of the newspaper you hear the anchors talking about violence. You
vaguely hear of the people caught up in the violence. When reading Armed Underage and The Charge:
Genocide there a connection. In the two passages titled Armed Underage By Jeffrey Gettleman and
The Charge: Genocide By Lydia Polgreen there are multiple claims that can be made off this
connection. One that can be reasonably made is violence in other nations affects the people of the

Although some think otherwise the claim that violence in other nations affects the people of the
nations negatively can still be made.
As stated before one reason why violence in other nations affects the people of the nations negatively
is true is because of child labor that can be seen. Jeffrey Gettleman supports this claim in his passage
when he states, It s not a new problem. The Germans drafted adolescents when they got desperate
toward the end of World War II. So did Iran, which used boys as young as 12 to clear minefields
during the Iran Iraq War in the 1980s. In summarization this supports the claim that violence affects
citizens negatively by the way the text explicitly talks of child labor. Child labor is a negative that
citizens face because of violence it forces children to work in this case for several military forces
which threatens them. Additionally the claim that violence in other nations affects the people of the
nations negatively Is supported in the text when it states In the Philippines and southern Thailand,
children are being recruited by rebel groups. In essence the quote supports

course of action. Guided by appropriate analysis McNaughton s gut and emotion can take P E I

Environment
Geography is a key element of P E I Preserves environment. The company is linked to P E I and its
reputation for pastoral beauty, to the global image of Anne of Green Gables and, to a lesser extend, to
the less well known reputation for quality of P E I strawberries. However, this geographic association
also limits its reach and public awareness of P E I Preserves. Overall, however, these are all very
positive associations. At the same time the reliance on tourism for walk in customers and the seasonal
nature of fruit production have made the company predominantly a seasonal enterprise. Its current
high price point/quality marketing strategy also introduces it to a variety of competitors.
Predominantly these are British and European products that employ the cachet of their point of origin
to justify their high price point. Other products, some not even manufactured in P E I compete for the

3 Yellow Popsicle Sticks
I have had many interactions like this before. In high school, I worked at a country club golf course.
The biggest part of my job was speaking to the golf members, most of whom were business
professionals. It taught me how to network with business people in a casual setting. In a professional
setting, any casual conversation is networking. This exercise was valuable because it directly
displayed that. The conversations I had with the students and alumni all felt genuine. I not only had a
pleasant experience speaking with them, but who knows where our conversation could take us. It
could lead to a job offer, a shared interest, or being put in contact with an important connection. You
never truly know who you are going to connect with. For that reason, any conversation is a chance to
network. What I find the most difficult about speaking with professionals is how casual I should be. I
am a very casual, laid back person by nature. When first meeting someone, especially in the business
world, I feel as if I am expected to act very professionally. I find it easier to make connections by
being my casual self. This is more acceptable to do around my peers, and less acceptable around older
people. I believe the group setting hindered my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

when others are deep in conversation, I like to turn to my neighbor and have a conversation with them.
It gives you a unique opportunity to have a one on one conversation and connect on a deeper level. I
believe this is why I received my green popsicle stick. While a conversation I wasn t involved in was

Greek Weapons
Throughout the Middle Ages, the creation and the types of weapons, as well as the techniques of using
them, were all different and were suited for a knight s own needs. Since every knight had unique
characteristics and fighting styles, blacksmiths had to cast weapons that met their specifications.
Additionally, the knights needed to be capable of using a plethora of weapons since each had a
specific purpose for different scenarios such as using projectile weapons for ranged combat. In order
to best serve their king, they had to use their weapons skillfully and effectively. To achieve this, the
knights had to know multiple weapon techniques and fighting styles to help them outsmart or
outmaneuver their opponents. Since the knights job was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An aspect that made the creation of a weapon complex were the different physical properties of a
weapon such as the shape of the blade, weight, length, and handle design, which all varied depending
on the characteristics of the owner. For example, a weak male knight was recommended to carry a
lighter sword, so that he would be able to swing his weapon with ease. If the weak knight carried an
extremely heavy sword, the sword would be more difficult to swing, which then causes the knight s
skill in swordsmanship to diminish. Because of this, blacksmiths needed to be knowledgeable of how
each weapon functioned in relation to its physical characteristics. The first step in creating a weapon
was to find iron ores, which was the main resource used to craft many weapons. Miners had to search
for iron ores in the ground and also extract the iron from them. This process was already quite time
consuming and required a lot of difficult work. The crafting of the actual weapon was even more
arduous since blacksmiths had to hammer and weld together thin strips of iron and steel of varying
hardnesses to form the core of the blade. The production of an average steel sword often took around a
week for a decent blacksmith. However, if they were working on a weapon specifically for their king,
it took around six months to ensure perfect

Age Discrimination Essay 9
Stereotypes about older people are a bound in our culture, but employers are not allowed to indulge in
them when making workplace decisions. Manifestations of age discrimination can be subtle or blatant.
Typical actions might include refusing to hire or promote older workers, curtailing their employee
benefits, limiting their training opportunities or limiting their job responsibilities and duties. Older
workers may be targeted in reductions of the work force; they may be encouraged to retire. Exit
incentive programs may deny valuable additional benefits to an older worker and early retirement
incentives may pressure older workers to retire prematurely. Incentive benefits may be reduced for
people who continue working beyond normal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The elimination of mandatory retirement is one of AARP s legislative priorities. Another priority for
them is to make sure that workers do not have to waive their rights to sue in exchange for an offer of
early retirement benefits. They want to make sure that older workers pension benefits are treated the
same as others.
As employers and as workers, it is important for all of us to be aware of the subtle way in which age
biased prejudices can influence our thinking. These stereotypical thoughts and actions reduce both the
incomes and the self confidence of millions of workers. An individual s ability, not their age, should
determine their qualifications for getting and keeping a job.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is a US federal agency empowered by
Congress, particularly since the passage of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964, to help enforce laws
prohibiting discrimination in the workplace. The Commission was first established in the early 1960s,
but it was not until 1964 that the EEOC was given the congressional power it needed to pursue those
companies with discriminatory practices, through lawsuits. The Civil Rights Act, in Title VII of its law
specifically gives the Commission the rights to oversee the employment practices of both private and
government employers, and to enforce the administration of laws set

Equal Rights Amendment
The Equal Rights Amendment, which was introduced in 1923, was a movement for women s rights
that ultimately lasted until 1982. The Equal Rights Amendment is discussed in our textbook, America,
A Concise Theory, on page 898. This particular site was chosen because it comes directly from the
website dedicated to the history of the Equal Rights Amendment. The amount of informative content
and photos was also a factor in choosing this website. Although there were several interesting facts in
the articles, three stuck out to me the most. The first interesting piece of information was the amount
of effort it took to allowing equal voting rights. In 1848, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and another woman,
Lucretia Motts, gathered over 300 people for a two day meeting to bring attention to the lack of
equality. After several resolutions were passed fairly easily, equality in voting still proved to be a
problem. Twenty four years later in 1972, Susan B. Anthony was arrested, convicted and fined for
trying to cast a ballot in the election. Stanton, Motts and Anthony all pioneered the way for women to
work towards equality in voting, but all died before they ever had a chance to cast their own votes.
The second interesting fact of the articles was how the 19th Amendment passed. At the start of the
20th century, the 19th Amendment, which is women s rights to vote, seemed to be making major
progress. More than half of the required states ratified the amendment within the first year,

What Are The Voids In The Jewish Museum
On the tour of the Jewish museum, we discussed the idea of what the voids and gaps throughout the
museum are to symbolize to the visitors. When the tour guide asked the group what do these
voids/gaps represent, I replied that the voids are to represent the missing individuals and the Jewish
history. These voids extend throughout the entire height of the museum to represent the void that is
being felt throughout the sequential generations. The discussion on how these voids represent the loss
of Jewish history through the Nazi regime s event of burning down of major institutions, destroying
documents and the destruction of artifacts belonging to the Jewish community. The discussion on the
voids/gaps within the Jewish museum is an interesting topic because most people would not think a lot
of the symbolism behind them. Andrew Gross mentions that they enact a scripted collapse of meaning,
displacing history into the registers of architecture, personal experience and memory (p.85). As I
watched some of the visitors, I noticed most would peer into these voids and shrugged them off while
walking away. These voids add to the story of the museum and to the Jewish history in Germany, by
representing the missing part of this history. It also represents the disruption in the German ... Show

The Failure Of Reconstruction Of Texas
The Failure of Reconstruction in Texas There are many Texas myths that endured about carpetbaggers
during the failed Reconstruction era. Carpetbaggers was generally used to describe Northerners who
moved to the south after the Civil War especially who joined state Republicans formed in 1867 pg.
212. They were rumored to be allegedly corrupt and dishonest adventurous who s property could fit in
a carpet bag (a soft suitcase made of carpet) who seized political power . In this essay, I will analyze
how the myth/legend came about, why the myth/legend is important to Texas history and what
implications is has for the history and memory of Texas. First, how did the myth/legend of failures of
reconstruction came about? I would suppose the myth came about from Native Texans during the
failed Reconstruction who felt that the Northerners or as they were referred to as carpet baggers where
ruining the state. This myth was unfounded because only a small amount of judges were Northerners
and in the Twelfth Legislature 12 out of 142 came from Northern states and a very few participated in
politics at the local level. Those carpetbaggers that were in politics often didn t fit the stereotype that
was given to most northerners. Most carpetbaggers came before Republicans took power so they

Congress too gave emphasis to the need of a political platform for the Muslims from where Muslims

The reasons for the establishment of Muslim league are as follows:

opposite to the interests of the Indian Muslims. By 1906, Muslim leaders were influenced that they
must have their own party which may speak for the public on all important events.
2. EDUCATIONAL AND ECONOMIC BACKWARDNESS:
Muslims had left far behind in education and economic progress from the Hindus. Educational and
economic environments can only be up graded by founding a separate Muslims organization that can

The Decline of Social Skills Amongst Counterintelligence Agents
When the un indoctrinated person pictures a Counterintelligence Agent, many times images of James
Bond or The Americans television show may enter their head. Individuals in the intelligence
community know this is a misconception brought on by movies, television and adventure novels. A
better example of a proper Counterintelligence Agent might be Fred Rogers (also known as Mister
Rogers). An unassuming/nonthreatening person, whose friendly, curious nature puts others, many
times a stranger, at ease. This perceived demeanor allows a Counterintelligence Agent to elicit
information undetected, or makes a potential source of information comfortable enough to trust them

A lack of interpersonal skills can literally determine whether someone will live or die. We need to
have the ability to start conversations with strangers, put them at ease, and convince them to report or
collect information they would not normally feel comfortable disclosing. This skill, in and of itself is
not a natural act or easily accomplished. It takes practice, but the difficulties are exponentially
amplified (if not impossible) when the agent is not comfortable with social interactions. Another
common task of a Counterintelligence Agent is elicitation, or the art of using crafted conversation to
collect information without the other participant(s) being alerted to any compromise. Elicitation is the
foundation of much of the craft of counterintelligence and the foundation of elicitation is social
competency. The bottom line is that being a successful Counterintelligence Agent is synonymous with
being able to interact casually and skillfully with other people. Understanding why the new generation
of agents appears to be socially inept we have to look at the surrounding circumstances. We can begin
by looking at how the new generation of Counterintelligence Agent s upbringing, previous to joining
the counterintelligence field, has affected their social skills. Understanding this helps us to consider
the outside factors during nurturing that led to the social ineptness. Some of these social skill failings
are from a

Who Killed The Notorious B. Ig Case Study
Who killed the Notorious B.I.G? That is the question that has been asked since Christopher Wallace
aka Biggie Smalls was shot and killed in a drive by shooting on March 9, 1997. Biggie smalls was last
seen in his car with his friends leaving a party when he was sitting at a light and a car pulled up next to
him and shot him four times in the chest. In order to try to solve this case investigators have to collect
as much evidence as possible, they would have to take statements from the witnesses that were at the
crime scene such as Sean Combs who was in the car in front of Biggie, Damien Dash and James
Lloyd who was in the car with Biggie, and anyone else who may have seen this act of murder.
Because some of the suspects for this case were

Letter Of Recommendation For Electrical Engineering
Letter of Recommendation
I found this Letter of Intent an opportunity to express my zeal towards the area of study Electrical
engineering with Alternative Energy as a specialization. So far, Electrical engineering has been an
integral part of my academic life and my goals are crystal clear of translating my prior knowledge and
experience into real world system developments.
For the very first time when I saw gigantic windmills, I had a lot of questions on my mind. This was
the time when I was a school student and didn t have any prerequisite knowledge. Someone told me to
that Windmill Systems are developed by Electrical Engineers. Another minor event impacted my
career goals when frequent electricity outages at our home enforced us to buy ... Show more content

I remember myself as a bright student throughout my schooling. I was well versed in both academic
and extracurricular, especially in sports. My engineering was a bit of a different story. Over the four
years of engineering, I learned subjects related to Power Systems, Electronics, Analog and Electronic
Instrumentation, Microcontroller and Microprocessor, Control Systems, Electrical Machines. Etc.
Laboratory sessions of these subjects helped me to accumulate consciousness of practical usage of
electrical engineering. It gave me the opportunity to correlate theory to practical phenomena. This, in
turn, gave me a better understanding of the subject and newer lines of thinking. The course in
Electrical Engineering covered a wide panorama of subjects. I learned to program in C and MATLAB
which were extremely helpful in my practical works. My ideas and knowledge of electrical
engineering were first tested in the third year of engineering in the power electronics based project of
Pulse triggering circuit for triggering of SCR . Besides that, I was always exposed to co curricular
activities like vocational training at transmission

The computer was first brought into existence in the late...
The computer was first brought into existence in the late 1930 s using vacuum tubes to create the
sounds that are found in motion pictures today and since then; there has been a non stop growth in the
advancement of our technology and society. Growth can sometimes flourish so fast that it can be hard
to keep track of especially in the areas that it may be easily overlooked until it comes to be necessary,
such as the ethics. This new type of technological development brings ethical concerns upon us, just
how it brought a cultural awakening upon society. For every technological glass ceiling we have
broken through comes an endless cascading effect of technical development in any of the other areas.
When scientists first discovered the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And what are the ethics that go with computer use in our society today? There are many inquiries that
arise when looking at the relationship that exists between computers and ethics. But before we can
look at the role computers have with ethics, we first need to understand why it is extremely significant
to acknowledge this connection, along with the possible effects that may come about it if this
relationship is ignored or forgotten. Let s take a look at a unique instance which involves computers
and their association with ethics and social media, something almost everyone is a part of today. This
case revolves around a recent phone app, called Tinder, which has become popular for both males and
females in college campuses. The app allows males and females to log on through their Facebook
accounts, which allows for them to share their pictures, age, and mutual friends with others around
them. Then once one is registered on the app, a picture of the other sex pops up and they either swipe
away or like it, in which it then matches them up with that other person. So essentially this app is
dating app for young college students, where males and females have the potential to stalk and talk to
others of the opposite sex that live a certain radius from them, and maybe possibly actually meet and
date (very unlikely). Tinder is very similar to other dating apps, however it makes it a lot less
complicated for college students so that they are easily able

Semiautomatic Firearms
A Gun Is A Gun Is A Gun Right?
You have seen the articles, the top 20 firearms all Preppers need, or the five best self defense
handguns, or here is a list of the best rifles or shotguns for home defense and the lists go on.
Confusing, and you probably did not learn anything, and you may feel somewhat slighted, because
you do not have any of the guns that the so called expert was stating emphatically that you need.
It is not the firearm, but the person using it, and then the reason that person wants a firearm that is the
deciding factor. Let s face it; any firearm that can put a round downrange is better than throwing a
lamp at someone. Do you know how to decide?
From a purely mechanical and technological standpoint, today s semiautomatic pistols are superior.
Not too long ago if someone mentioned handguns you automatically thought revolver. The ever
steadfast revolver, while they differ somewhat, the mechanics have remained the same throughout the

There is a reason however, why most militaries around the world carry semiautomatic pistols and not
revolvers and many in law enforcement carry them as well.
Keep in mind some semiautomatics are Double Action (DA) and Single Action (SA). Once a round is
chambered from the slide action, the hammer is back. From this point you can de cock it to make it
double action or leave the hammer back for single action. After the first round subsequent shots are of
course single action, because the slide is forced back to eject a shell cocking the firearm each time.
The revolver is not going anywhere, because people grew up with them, it may have been for many
their first handgun that was handed down. They do have advantages over semiautomatics and there are
disadvantages as well. You do not have to choose, because you can have both as long as you become
proficient in their use. You do have to consider who will be using the weapon and who may have
access to the weapon as

A Research Study On Regenerative Medicine And Transplantation
Regenerative medicine and transplantation is the recent advancement in the field of scientific medical
research embarking on the evolvement of embryonic stem cells(ESCs)and reprogrammed human
somatic cells called induced pleuri potent stem cells(iPSCs) .Human embryonic stem cells were first
derived in 1998 by Thomson et al. and induced pleuri potent stem cells(iPSCs) in 2007(Thai Journal
of Obstetrics and GynaecologyApril 2013) The innate proficiency of the human embryonic stem cells
to differentiate into multiple cell lineages i.e pluripotency and worthy of self renewal score them as
invaluable sources in therapeutic and diagnostic field. However, there are some impediments seen in
the generation and utilisation of these ESCs as some countries believe that isolation of ESCS from
embryos is detrimental to the embryos and as they are not patient specific , auto rejection is observed
in some cases. (Thai Journal of Obstetrics and GynaecologyApril 2013) To overcome this, scientists
have identified iPSCs by reprogramming of certain somatic cells. Vivid progression in the remedy of
infertility will be possible with the transformation of germ cells from stem cells. The mechanism of
differentiation of ES cells in vitro and in vivo are not well inferred due to limited number of oocytes
available through donation programmes. Functional or mature gametes have fail to develop in vitro as
germ cells do not develop beyond the earliest stage, persistently generating low number

Different Types Of Groups Formed For Particular Purposes
For every organization, there are different types of groups formed for particular purposes. The most
common groups are; formal, informal, command groups and committees.
For this particular task, the group was a committee made up of members from different departments
within the company. The key players in the committee were drawn from the human resource (HR)
assistants/specialists, the HR management, and the hospital director along with other senior hospital
administrators. The members mentioned above of the committee where called to discuss and assess
issues regarding the reason for the occasional delay in background check investigations within the
organization which caused a delay in the hiring process. Members of the management department
handle issues regarding how to better manage this process; human resource specialist were called to
handle the logistical issues and the assistants handle issues of suppliers and customer while members
of the management provide direction and inputs in case of disagreements.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the reason behind the delay in completing
background investigations, which had been undergoing problems in recent times. The meeting was
meant to figure out what was causing delays in the completion of background checks and find
solutions to ensure that the issues were thoroughly dealt with and a lasting solution adopted. The main
agenda, of course, being the delays in the process and the steps required to solve the

American is sometimes a struggle, especially when mainstream media stereotype us as one and fail to

comes to racial and social justice. In addition to, small business rely on Net Neutrality to help them
launch and market their business ideas. This help the small business lower the roadblock and give

The Concept Of Heritage In Everyday Use By Alice Walker
Heritage: it is something that everyone possesses, whether they like it or not. It is not something that
people can choose, and it is not something people can change. Every family has their own unique
heritage, each celebrating it in a slightly different way. In brief, heritage is the celebration of one s
family and culture through family holidays, feasts, festivals, and traditions. Heritage is something that
people innately celebrate, it does not require much effort to celebrate it. However, some people make
it something not innate by using their heritage as an ostentatious display. The concept of celebrating
heritage innately or ostentatiously is explored through the characters Maggie, Mama, and Dee in the
short story Everyday Use by Alice Walker.

conduct operational test and evaluation of new acquired weapon systems, support systems, and aircraft
for the U.S. Navy. In interfacing with mission systems and fleet introduction, Air and Test Evaluation
Squadron One does it first.
In the acquisition phase, the navy has several initial and developmental test and evaluation squadrons;
however, these squadron use contract and government maintenance and flight personnel to conduct
primary and subsequent examination and analysis of newly acquired systems in a controlled
environment. After completion of initial and developmental test, the weapon systems, support
systems, and aircraft are forwarded for operational test and evaluation. In this role, the navy tasks two

sincerity, I place the goals of the country, navy, squadron, and individuals before mine. In addition,
Proverbs 27:17 states As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (NIV). In my daily walks
around squadron spaces, I talk and engage with sailors to interact, relay information, and assess
situations. More importantly, this scripture reminds me to mentor sailors to promote quality of life

The Soviet War Of Russia Essay
The Russian military is vastly superior to that of the Baltic States (Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia) and
Russia has an interest in occupying the Baltic States for strategic and political reasons. A large
minority of the population of the Baltics is ethnically Russian, installed in the area after Soviet
occupation of the Baltics after the Second World War. Also, Russian forces near the Baltics outnumber
Baltic and NATO forces in the area. Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave between Poland and Lithuania, is
the headquarters of Russia s Baltic fleet (Meyer). The desired military end state for the United States
is that Russia is incapable or unwilling to invade the Baltics, and the Baltics are assured of this. We
are interested in how United States military assets may be brought to bear in order to achieve Baltic
security from Russia. We assert that Baltic security may be enhanced by increasing the presence of
United States military forces in the Baltics. Russia s center of gravity is their military strength relative
to the Baltic States and NATO forces stationed in the area. This center of gravity has the twin critical
capabilities of the abilities to invade the Baltic States, and the ability to intimidate and influence the
Baltic population. Russia s critical requirements are a strong military, their geographic nearness to the
Baltics, the element of surprise, and Nuclear weapons. Of these, their element of surprise and their
relative military strength are the most

  • 4. Tutankhamun Burial Ancient Egypt revolved around the belief that one was reborn after death and would be guaranteed eternal life if the body was preserved and buried properly. Tutankhamun became a pharaoh of Egypt at the age of nine during the 18th Dynasty. His rain lasted approximately 10 years when he died unexpectedly and consequently his tomb and burial was rushed leaving him with a much smaller and less impressive tomb that was common for 18th dynasty tombs. Tutankhamun s tomb was discovered still sealed by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings. The French Occupation Of Spain During The Peninsular War Francisco Goya was a Spanish painter and printmaker, especially known for his works depicting and commenting on the horrors of the French Occupation of Spain during the Peninsular War, in the early 1800 s. The Third of May , an oil on canvas painting created in 1814 by Goya, illustrates the mass executions of innocent Spanish civilians, in response to the uprising of civilians against the French military the previous day. Saturn Devouring his son , another oil on canvas masterpiece by Goya, depicts the mythological, gruesome figure of the god Saturn, who, based upon the fear of a prophecy, ate each one of his own children. The Third of May depicts a pitch black sky, looming over crowds of people below, dimly lit by geometric lanterns nearby. The focus of the scene involves two separate groups the faceless, practically identical French military, aiming their guns towards the direction of a group of petrified civilians, making various different positions. The biggest part of my job was speaking to the golf members, most of whom were business professionals. It taught me how to network with business people in a casual setting. In a professional setting, any casual conversation is networking. This exercise was valuable because it directly displayed that. The conversations I had with the students and alumni all felt genuine. I not only had a pleasant experience speaking with them, but who knows where our conversation could take us. It could lead to a job offer, a shared interest, or being put in contact with an important connection. You never truly know who you are going to connect with. For that reason, any conversation is a chance to network. What I find the most difficult about speaking with professionals is how casual I should be. I am a very casual, laid back person by nature. When first meeting someone, especially in the business world, I feel as if I am expected to act very professionally. I find it easier to make connections by being my casual self. Since every knight had unique characteristics and fighting styles, blacksmiths had to cast weapons that met their specifications. Additionally, the knights needed to be capable of using a plethora of weapons since each had a specific purpose for different scenarios such as using projectile weapons for ranged combat. In order to best serve their king, they had to use their weapons skillfully and effectively. To achieve this, the knights had to know multiple weapon techniques and fighting styles to help them outsmart or outmaneuver their opponents. Since the knights job was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An aspect that made the creation of a weapon complex were the different physical properties of a weapon such as the shape of the blade, weight, length, and handle design, which all varied depending on the characteristics of the owner. For example, a weak male knight was recommended to carry a lighter sword, so that he would be able to swing his weapon with ease. If the weak knight carried an extremely heavy sword, the sword would be more difficult to swing, which then causes the knight s skill in swordsmanship to diminish. Because of this, blacksmiths needed to be knowledgeable of how each weapon functioned in relation to its physical characteristics. The first step in creating a weapon was to find iron ores, which was the main resource used to craft many weapons. Miners had to search for iron ores in the ground and also extract the iron from them. This process was already quite time consuming and required a lot of difficult work. The crafting of the actual weapon was even more arduous since blacksmiths had to hammer and weld together thin strips of iron and steel of varying hardnesses to form the core of the blade. The production of an average steel sword often took around a week for a decent blacksmith. Manifestations of age discrimination can be subtle or blatant. Typical actions might include refusing to hire or promote older workers, curtailing their employee benefits, limiting their training opportunities or limiting their job responsibilities and duties. Older workers may be targeted in reductions of the work force; they may be encouraged to retire. The elimination of mandatory retirement is one of AARP s legislative priorities. They want to make sure that older workers pension benefits are treated the same as others. As employers and as workers, it is important for all of us to be aware of the subtle way in which age biased prejudices can influence our thinking. These stereotypical thoughts and actions reduce both the incomes and the self confidence of millions of workers. The Equal Rights Amendment is discussed in our textbook, America, A Concise Theory, on page 898. This particular site was chosen because it comes directly from the website dedicated to the history of the Equal Rights Amendment. The amount of informative content and photos was also a factor in choosing this website. Although there were several interesting facts in the articles, three stuck out to me the most. The first interesting piece of information was the amount of effort it took to allowing equal voting rights. In 1848, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and another woman, Lucretia Motts, gathered over 300 people for a two day meeting to bring attention to the lack of equality. After several resolutions were passed fairly easily, equality in voting still proved to be a problem. Twenty four years later in 1972, Susan B. Anthony was arrested, convicted and fined for trying to cast a ballot in the election. Stanton, Motts and Anthony all pioneered the way for women to work towards equality in voting, but all died before they ever had a chance to cast their own votes. The second interesting fact of the articles was how the 19th Amendment passed. At the start of the 20th century, the 19th Amendment, which is women s rights to vote, seemed to be making major progress. When the tour guide asked the group what do these voids/gaps represent, I replied that the voids are to represent the missing individuals and the Jewish history. These voids extend throughout the entire height of the museum to represent the void that is being felt throughout the sequential generations. The discussion on how these voids represent the loss of Jewish history through the Nazi regime s event of burning down of major institutions, destroying documents and the destruction of artifacts belonging to the Jewish community. The discussion on the voids/gaps within the Jewish museum is an interesting topic because most people would not think a lot of the symbolism behind them. Andrew Gross mentions that they enact a scripted collapse of meaning, displacing history into the registers of architecture, personal experience and memory (p.85). In this essay, I will analyze how the myth/legend came about, why the myth/legend is important to Texas history and what implications is has for the history and memory of Texas. First, how did the myth/legend of failures of reconstruction came about? I would suppose the myth came about from Native Texans during the failed Reconstruction who felt that the Northerners or as they were referred to as carpet baggers where ruining the state. This myth was unfounded because only a small amount of judges were Northerners and in the Twelfth Legislature 12 out of 142 came from Northern states and a very few participated in politics at the local level. Those carpetbaggers that were in politics often didn t fit the stereotype that was given to most northerners. We need to have the ability to start conversations with strangers, put them at ease, and convince them to report or collect information they would not normally feel comfortable disclosing. This skill, in and of itself is not a natural act or easily accomplished. It takes practice, but the difficulties are exponentially amplified (if not impossible) when the agent is not comfortable with social interactions. Another common task of a Counterintelligence Agent is elicitation, or the art of using crafted conversation to collect information without the other participant(s) being alerted to any compromise. Elicitation is the foundation of much of the craft of counterintelligence and the foundation of elicitation is social competency. The bottom line is that being a successful Counterintelligence Agent is synonymous with being able to interact casually and skillfully with other people. • 23. Letter Of Recommendation For Electrical Engineering Letter of Recommendation I found this Letter of Intent an opportunity to express my zeal towards the area of study Electrical engineering with Alternative Energy as a specialization. So far, Electrical engineering has been an integral part of my academic life and my goals are crystal clear of translating my prior knowledge and experience into real world system developments. For the very first time when I saw gigantic windmills, I had a lot of questions on my mind. This was the time when I was a school student and didn t have any prerequisite knowledge. Someone told me to that Windmill Systems are developed by Electrical Engineers. Another minor event impacted my career goals when frequent electricity outages at our home enforced us to buy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I remember myself as a bright student throughout my schooling. I was well versed in both academic and extracurricular, especially in sports. My engineering was a bit of a different story. Over the four years of engineering, I learned subjects related to Power Systems, Electronics, Analog and Electronic Instrumentation, Microcontroller and Microprocessor, Control Systems, Electrical Machines. Etc. Laboratory sessions of these subjects helped me to accumulate consciousness of practical usage of electrical engineering. It gave me the opportunity to correlate theory to practical phenomena. This, in turn, gave me a better understanding of the subject and newer lines of thinking. The course in Electrical Engineering covered a wide panorama of subjects. I learned to program in C and MATLAB which were extremely helpful in my practical works. My ideas and knowledge of electrical engineering were first tested in the third year of engineering in the power electronics based project of Pulse triggering circuit for triggering of SCR . Besides that, I was always exposed to co curricular activities like vocational training at transmission ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. The computer was first brought into existence in the late... The computer was first brought into existence in the late 1930 s using vacuum tubes to create the sounds that are found in motion pictures today and since then; there has been a non stop growth in the advancement of our technology and society. Growth can sometimes flourish so fast that it can be hard to keep track of especially in the areas that it may be easily overlooked until it comes to be necessary, such as the ethics. This new type of technological development brings ethical concerns upon us, just how it brought a cultural awakening upon society. For every technological glass ceiling we have broken through comes an endless cascading effect of technical development in any of the other areas. When scientists first discovered the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And what are the ethics that go with computer use in our society today? There are many inquiries that arise when looking at the relationship that exists between computers and ethics. But before we can look at the role computers have with ethics, we first need to understand why it is extremely significant to acknowledge this connection, along with the possible effects that may come about it if this relationship is ignored or forgotten. Let s take a look at a unique instance which involves computers and their association with ethics and social media, something almost everyone is a part of today. This case revolves around a recent phone app, called Tinder, which has become popular for both males and females in college campuses. The app allows males and females to log on through their Facebook accounts, which allows for them to share their pictures, age, and mutual friends with others around them. Then once one is registered on the app, a picture of the other sex pops up and they either swipe away or like it, in which it then matches them up with that other person. So essentially this app is dating app for young college students, where males and females have the potential to stalk and talk to others of the opposite sex that live a certain radius from them, and maybe possibly actually meet and date (very unlikely). Tinder is very similar to other dating apps, however it makes it a lot less complicated for college students so that they are easily able ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. Semiautomatic Firearms A Gun Is A Gun Is A Gun Right? You have seen the articles, the top 20 firearms all Preppers need, or the five best self defense handguns, or here is a list of the best rifles or shotguns for home defense and the lists go on. Confusing, and you probably did not learn anything, and you may feel somewhat slighted, because you do not have any of the guns that the so called expert was stating emphatically that you need. It is not the firearm, but the person using it, and then the reason that person wants a firearm that is the deciding factor. Let s face it; any firearm that can put a round downrange is better than throwing a lamp at someone. Do you know how to decide? From a purely mechanical and technological standpoint, today s semiautomatic pistols are superior. Not too long ago if someone mentioned handguns you automatically thought revolver. The ever steadfast revolver, while they differ somewhat, the mechanics have remained the same throughout the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is a reason however, why most militaries around the world carry semiautomatic pistols and not revolvers and many in law enforcement carry them as well. Keep in mind some semiautomatics are Double Action (DA) and Single Action (SA). Once a round is chambered from the slide action, the hammer is back. From this point you can de cock it to make it double action or leave the hammer back for single action. After the first round subsequent shots are of course single action, because the slide is forced back to eject a shell cocking the firearm each time. The revolver is not going anywhere, because people grew up with them, it may have been for many their first handgun that was handed down. They do have advantages over semiautomatics and there are disadvantages as well. You do not have to choose, because you can have both as long as you become proficient in their use. You do have to consider who will be using the weapon and who may have access to the weapon as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. A Research Study On Regenerative Medicine And Transplantation Regenerative medicine and transplantation is the recent advancement in the field of scientific medical research embarking on the evolvement of embryonic stem cells(ESCs)and reprogrammed human somatic cells called induced pleuri potent stem cells(iPSCs) .Human embryonic stem cells were first derived in 1998 by Thomson et al. and induced pleuri potent stem cells(iPSCs) in 2007(Thai Journal of Obstetrics and GynaecologyApril 2013) The innate proficiency of the human embryonic stem cells to differentiate into multiple cell lineages i.e pluripotency and worthy of self renewal score them as invaluable sources in therapeutic and diagnostic field. However, there are some impediments seen in the generation and utilisation of these ESCs as some countries believe that isolation of ESCS from embryos is detrimental to the embryos and as they are not patient specific , auto rejection is observed in some cases. (Thai Journal of Obstetrics and GynaecologyApril 2013) To overcome this, scientists have identified iPSCs by reprogramming of certain somatic cells. Vivid progression in the remedy of infertility will be possible with the transformation of germ cells from stem cells. The mechanism of differentiation of ES cells in vitro and in vivo are not well inferred due to limited number of oocytes available through donation programmes. Functional or mature gametes have fail to develop in vitro as germ cells do not develop beyond the earliest stage, persistently generating low number ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is not something that people can choose, and it is not something people can change. Every family has their own unique heritage, each celebrating it in a slightly different way. In brief, heritage is the celebration of one s family and culture through family holidays, feasts, festivals, and traditions. Heritage is something that people innately celebrate, it does not require much effort to celebrate it. However, some people make it something not innate by using their heritage as an ostentatious display. The concept of celebrating heritage innately or ostentatiously is explored through the characters Maggie, Mama, and Dee in the short story Everyday Use by Alice Walker. • 32. The Soviet War Of Russia Essay The Russian military is vastly superior to that of the Baltic States (Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia) and Russia has an interest in occupying the Baltic States for strategic and political reasons. A large minority of the population of the Baltics is ethnically Russian, installed in the area after Soviet occupation of the Baltics after the Second World War. Also, Russian forces near the Baltics outnumber Baltic and NATO forces in the area. Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave between Poland and Lithuania, is the headquarters of Russia s Baltic fleet (Meyer). The desired military end state for the United States is that Russia is incapable or unwilling to invade the Baltics, and the Baltics are assured of this. We are interested in how United States military assets may be brought to bear in order to achieve Baltic security from Russia. We assert that Baltic security may be enhanced by increasing the presence of United States military forces in the Baltics. Russia s center of gravity is their military strength relative to the Baltic States and NATO forces stationed in the area. This center of gravity has the twin critical capabilities of the abilities to invade the Baltic States, and the ability to intimidate and influence the Baltic population. Russia s critical requirements are a strong military, their geographic nearness to the Baltics, the element of surprise, and Nuclear weapons. Of these, their element of surprise and their relative military strength are the most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
